    VC all the way. No doubt.

    for me it's the black dial VC.. the blue is a bit too much attention, but black is deep, hypnotizing and classic.. a great alternative to the Rolex OP, and that Geneva seal!

    Overseas is a superior watch… by far more durable, better finishing, much more comfortable on the wrist and by far less mass produced….AP is Nothing without Royal oak.
    I have owned a few AP RO and unfortunately had to many issues with all of them. And not comfortable wearing them more than a few hours because it’s either big or small on the wrist because it doesn’t have extension link like the Overseas.
    Never touching AP again

    I don't like AP at all. It should be replaced by A. Lange & Sohne in Holy Trinity.

    Personally, my pet peeve with the overseas date display was easily mitigated by getting the overseas dual time instead. Gone is the microsoft font date with a boring white background, and comes a more integrated look for the date overall. I have a black dial overseas dual time and it is overall a better look all around.

    I love your closing thoughts about the RO. It is really impossible to get this piece without buying junk such as Code 11.59 first

    I absolutely love my blue 4500V. Even though side by side in your video I still prefer it to the AP... I still want that AP. I may go with a Czapek Antarctique as the AP price has far exceeded rhyme or reason.

    Well made comparison. I thought brushed surface show less scratches than polished and that’s a drawback in OS.

      Having owned the Nautilus and RO for 7 years, I feel like the opposite is true. Polished surfaces reflect the watch's surroundings, making it harder to spot the scratches.

    Great review. I am with you liking the VC better! What size wrist do you have? I tried a VC 4500v and it felt to big for my 6.5 inch wrist. I am looking for a VC 2300v.

    VC Overseas all day, the bezel is cool. Not my cup of tea the AP brand and the bezel of the royal oak.

    My AP dropped to the floor when the locking clasp screw fell out. It was completely my fault for not doing maintenance. But yea the AP bracelet is not as secured as other watch makers.

    overseas has much more versatility. But the Royal Oak is simply much more of a statement in terms of design boldness and horology. I highly disagree about the AP dial being less interesting, because the dial appears in many different shades depending on the angle, and the dial looks different when you bring a loupe, the AP dial shows a different world of detail that you cannot see with just the naked eye. The VC dial is sharper and instantly gratifying, but if you look closer, it looks the same. The VC gold rotor is nicer, and the strap situation is much better. The AP bracelet wins by a mile. Both desirable watches. You can wear the VC everyday, you would reserve the AP for more special occasions.

    Great comparison. What do you think of the 15400 vs 15500?

    • @watchesinsingapore
      @watchesinsingapore  2 года назад +2

      15400 has a better and more balanced looking dial, 15500 has a better movement and caseback.

      @@watchesinsingapore I agree. Sad that all steel sports watches are crazy atm though What about blue vs grey dial? The grey seems more unique to me given the blue everywhere

  • @malyu6374
    @malyu6374 2 года назад

    Both stunning, both hard to get. However, the 15500 blue dial is crazy now at $80k+ US, while 4500V blue is achievable for under $50k. Is 15500 better? May be, but not $30k US better.
