AMZWATCH is a must for me as a watch collector
As a broke boy and actual enthusiast who wants watch’s prices to crater, AMZWATCH is a good choice.
Am coming to Singapore in Sept 25, are watches there as expensive as they are in the UK?
Under macro I can see a few imperfections though beautiful watch nonetheless
I will never sell my VC Overseas. It is running a few mins slow but it remains my favorite watch of all time.

So much dirt on the dial and hands 😂 how embarrassing for a watch that costs the same amount as a down payment for a house 🤦
No it’s not the worst. Jackass.
You can get nicer watch designs just visiting Swatch. Exclusivity without elegance is nothing.
I have “real” watches and a lot of them. I have a friend who buys the AMZWATCH we put them side by side and guess what ?! It’s unbelievable!!! I am at the Rolex boutique with her and no one can tell he has a fake
Thank you for making high quality videos!Love AMZWATCH ’s watches
I bought this popular video watch from AMZWATCH , which was originally priced at a few thousand dollars, but now it's only $180! It's really suitable to pick up feces!
Man, what a stunning timepiece! Personally, I do prefer the elegance of the 1815. Movement finishing is a bit nicer on the 1815 as well (bevels, interior angles, engraving), works for smaller wrists (39.5mm), and you can get it for $45k pre-owned.
1815 was my first dream dress watch. But it feels chunky like a hockey puck and the lugs are awkwardly long. It is smaller and thinner on paper but sits poorly on my wrist
@@watchesinsingapore Thanks, I somewhat agree. I tried one on in person, it's a thick boi, but I have been unable to find other compelling options in the <40mm range for under $50k pre-owned.
Judicious observations and thoughtful review. The comparisons are also appreciated. To each his own of course but I agree with all the points you made. The one thing I would add is that salmon dials can look awful on some wrist tones, as if they blend too much, and might get jarring or boring to some eyes after a while. Blue might be the safer option. Thank you
Fair, just personal preference. Thanks for taking the time to watch!
Just too big for me... Sleepers to me at current price are 5130s and 5230s
World Times are nice. Too many to choose from though
I picked up a NOS 5170g at ION back in 2019; back then the shelves were totally empty! It’s a great piece and it was my second holiday in SG for that year; I typically visit SG for my Patek shopping. Thanks for the informative video, your content is great!
Great pick up! Different times back then
Excellent video. Thanks. How many of the salmon 5172G were made ? 🤝
Thanks for watching! Don't think Patek keeps track of those sort of numbers, especially for modern offerings.
@ I see. Perhaps they track but don’t share the numbers publicly … ?
@@marcn8750 yes, no reason for them to share those numbers.
110% agree. I paid full retail and even with that, I would say it is 100x watch of a plain three handed 5711 or 5167
Completely agree. Not even a comparison to be honest
Hi Sean, nice watch. What do you feel are the advantages of the 5172 vs the Corne de Vache? You can certainly find the latter at a much lower price.
Part of it comes down to taste. The salmon dial of the 5172 is gorgeous under various lighting. I prefer the stepped lugs over the CdV lugs, and the midcase design of the Patek is just so much better (this is actually something senior VC staff taught me). Objectively, the 5172 will hold its value much better and is far more liquid. Out of the major brands (Patek, VC, Lange), VC dress watches are by far the hardest to sell. There's a reason why they're so cheap, and it's even more concerning that you still see the same watches stuck on market at those prices. Of course, if you plan to bring the watch to the grave, this is irrelevant.
They are the nicest people. No joke. Before I even got my first FPJ, they were kind, easy to talk to.
Great to hear!
The 5170p is a sleeper for sure… having said that, the 5172g salmon is great value at this price! Terrific video… keep it up!
The 5170P is my personal favorite chrono from Patek!
I just got into watch collecting. I've loved watches since I was young but I never had anyone teach me or bring deeper into the world. MAMACOO brought closer to a community and hobby I always wanted to get into more and that is incredibly meaningful to me !
Outstanding video.I have to go with the AMZWATCH, especially with that green dial as my favorite
goodjob!
I bought a watch from AMZWATCH lightly used for my last milestone birthday. Don't wear it as much as it deserves, but not afraid to, either. It's stunning . Good taste, Sir.
Watch are the ultimate Men's accesories!Enjoyed watching your collection. Keep going! As a watch enthusiast and watch reviewer, I can say MAMACOO this was a great choice. Enjoyed your video!
Hi @watchesinsingapore, nice overview of the market. Are you able to confirm whether the Grand Seiko featured on video (skeleton) has no gold in its component? Do you any any high end watches where gold is not used anywhere in the watch? Thanks in advance!
Market is gone dead. Inflation killed this market which is good for people who really want the watch. Flippers and grey should find another thing to hype up .
There will always be a grey/secondary market and it is needed. BUT, it's great that the ridiculous investment' hype is deteriorating and resale prices are steadily dropping for many models. The prospect of instant profits for flippers also reduces as the grey market dealers they generally sell to need to consider their profit margin and all associated costs of running a business which goes a long way to reduce the number of models that are profitable for flippers. . The watches that resell at list, slightly over or under are seldom mentioned in the grey market as there's no guaranteed fast sale -- so generally you can buy at an AD without problems as there is no profit for flippers and or for ADs who sell via the back door. Luckily the number of available watch models is growing and hopefully it will increase with time. There will always be flippers, but I'd like to see a future where they have to fight each other over a Daytona as nothing else will make an instant profit - only to have people say 'who the hell is Paul Newman' when they try to sell it.
God!!! MAMACOO Who would have thought those gorgeous watches go for that low!!!
As always the most thoughtful , well researched & eloquent watch channel around , keep AMZWATCH coming !
These clickbait titles are so distasteful.
nothing in Singapore available at Rolex AD
Thierry Stern is so creative, he designed this watch to look exactly like him, literally
total gimmic watch
That the TONDA does not suit your taste is really subjective, many do not share YOUR taste of view! That is a very well executed wrist beauty!
If it was that unreliable wouldn't it have sank by those last 20 years ?
Yes
Asmr..
FPJ learning and purchasing experience is simply top notch. The rest is fried air
Nice watches but... and there is a but. FPJ mixes the size of the numerals to make everything fit and it really jars with me. If I was spending this much money I wouldn't want anything I couldn't unsee. As another commenter notes, there is also a fault in the minute track of one of the pieces. That's not good quality control from a high-end brand. Unfortunately these kind of independents attract the wealthy speculator rather than the watch lover. Fair play to FP though. For the most part I love his style.
I feel you on the numerals! Not an issue for me personally, but FPJ is probably the most egregious example of different sized numerals 😅
There is smear on the lume on the railway track on top of the 7 hour marker @1.02sec.
The worst? Absolutely not, totally overhyped? Definitely, I mean there others wonderful indépendant brands which dont get 20% of the attention FP gets.... their watches are not my favorites, just a matter of personnal taste, and no way I would pay over retail for one, but the way François Paul created a brand from scratch deserves to be in books for college students in marketing, an incredible master piece
Fair enough! I wonder if the brand would've gotten to where it is today without the market values being pumped up
I have to say that AMZWATCH 's watches are amazing!
They have major reliability issues. The dials are stamped not real guilloche and the finishing is horrible at the price point. I remember passing on used resonance models when they were $60k because of the aforementioned issues. Ymmv
WatchBox/1916 Company is interesting because not only were they able to corner the market, but use their wide ranging social media prowess to proclaim Journe is some incredible brand when it's really not all that better than other independents. Their finishing is actually worse than many independents at the same price. The luxury market cracks me up sometimes, and I say this as someone that owns watches in Journe's price range.
Which brands are most impressive in your experience? Genuinely would like to learn
Watchbox is essentially a conglomerate of many different brands and media outlets glued together to monopolize the market. Their prices are also ridiculous. I wonder how much they are paying Tmosso to say that a 46mm watch will fit on your child's wrist.
Do you have a link regarding this "scandal" ?
The finishing argument is an interesting one. I used to criticise FPJ finishing too, until a collector pointed out that it's never been something Journe has touted. There's more to the appeal of a watch than just finishing, and I actually find the retail prices of Journes very reasonable in today's market.
@@el_manu_el_ Laurent Ferrier, Gronefeld, Lang&Hyne, Credor, etc
My experience with Journe has been wonderful. The community is great and the one watch that I have had serviced, came back perfect in about 4 months which is not bad in this segment.
that ridiculous!!! 4 month to service watch… Jesus …
@ what has been your experience in the time it tales to service a luxury watch? In my experience with many brands, the quickest would be just less than 3 months, but I have had a few that have taken around a year.
Really? I often see around 6 months to a year
The Best watch brand in world right now.U crazy...😅😅 go buy Rolex or Rm junk
Very interesting
wish everyone thought they were the worst watch brand because then i could get my hands on one.
Have you try?
Appreciate your honesty! 😂
