- Contact tmosso@thewatchbox.com for pricing and availability; Either I have it, or I can get it! It’s a battle of luxury watches in stainless steel! An Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Chronograph 26320st.oo.1220st.01 goes head-to-head against the Vacheron Constantin Overseas Chronograph 5500V/110BA-148 in a battle of the hottest steel luxury sports watches not named “Rolex Daytona,” “Richard Mille,” or “Patek Philippe Nautilus.” We pit the 2012-2016 Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Chronograph (black dial) against the 2016-present Vacheron Constantin Overseas Chronograph (blue dial) to see which watch earns the right to challenge Patek and Rolex in a “champions’ round” of a future “Versus” luxury watch comparison.
The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Chronograph 26320ST is the elder statesman of this pair, but not by much. Although the first Royal Oak 5402 launched in 1972, the Royal Oak Chronograph only bowed in 1997 - one year after the inaugural Vacheron Overseas.
Today’s Royal Oak Chronograph is the 41mm model that bowed at SIHH 2012 and concluded with the advent of the Royal Oak Chrono 26331 in 2017. Our subject chronograph offers a 41mm case and reasonably slim profile, but the reality of any Royal Oak is a watch that wears far larger than its nominal size; think of this one as a 42-43mm round watch, and you get the idea.
An Audemars Piguet caliber 2385 - basically a Frederic Piguet (no relation) 1185 - does yeoman duty. This 40-hour automatic features a column wheel function selector, vertical clutch engagement, a slim integrated-chronograph profile, and five-position adjustment. But having debuted in the mid-1980s, this chronograph movement is showing its age. A low 21,600 VpH beat rate, non-hacking seconds, and minimal power reserve betray the 1185’s origin in another era of engineering. However, the screw-down crown permits 50-meter water resistance, and AP advises that the Royal Oak Chronograph is suitable for surface swimming.
Vacheron Constantin’s first two generations of Overseas Chronograph were conservative volume plays; the third-generation Overseas Chronograph is a moon-shot. Now 42.5mm, the stainless-steel Overseas Chronograph 5500V retails for over $30,000 U.S., and the price of admission is worthwhile. Each steel Overseas ships with a full bracelet, an accessory rubber strap, and an accessory leather strap; the latter two include a strap-specific clasp. Quick-release lugs ensure that the owner of an Overseas can change between his straps and bracelet without tools.
Vacheron equips the new Overseas with its first-ever in-house chronograph caliber, first Geneva Hallmark caliber, and first display case back. Despite the latter, Vacheron continues to rate the Overseas at its traditional 150-meter water resistance and 25,000 A/M antimagnetic resistance. Caliber 5200 is Vacheron’s first in-house automatic chronograph movement of any description, and its 52-hour power reserve easily surpasses the Audemars Piguet; vertical clutch and column wheel architecture match blows with the AP. Geneva Hallmark finish is in evidence on the caliber 5200, and the case features a Poincon de Geneve to match; the post 2012 Hallmark applies to the entire white.
It’s Audemars Piguet versus Vacheron Constantin today on VERSUS!
To me it is VC Oversea... RO is the most iconic amongst this 2 timepiece but all hearts to VC... the quick release & see thru case back is a great update for the Oversea. The blue dial is so so pleasing to look at. RO somehow I felt needed an updated badly.
Great details review Tim.
I like the Overseas as the better product overall; good choice!
Best,
Tim
VC it's my favourite watch brand, every single watch has his own charm and beauty that i cant find in other brands
Just don't loupe their watches bc the finishing is disappointing!
@Ribrianne: You'll need to steer clear of AP, too, if that's the case. VC finish is on a higher level than most AP products including all standard Royal Oak series models. Although the Audemars 15202 and the APRP models compare favorably to Geneva Hallmark VCs, the chronograph from this video features an F. Piguet caliber that's earned its solid caseback; there would be no comparison to the Overseas' 5200 if you could see this AP chronograph's movement.
Best,
Tim
Tim, in that case looks like I have to stick with Patek and ALS from now on, if only I had the money!
A Neptune in steel would be the value play; these aren't worth anywhere near the other steel Patek sports watches.
Best,
Tim
@@the1916companywatchreviews I was hesitant between the 41950 and the 26320, side by side the finish on the VC's bracelet was enough to make me go for it, let alone the rest of the watch! Is it me or I feel the older 39mm models are finished better than the 41mm APs ?
VC are killing it.They deserve much more respect and profile.
You write the truth. Pre-owned, the VC Overseas Gen-3 is a monster and a best-kept-secret. Let others pay $50,000 for secondhand 5711s; give me a one-year-old steel Overseas Chrono for half that price.
Best,
Tim
WatchBox Reviews Hey Tim - fantastic review. I’m actively looking for a used Gen 3 overseas Chrono at any (substantive) discount vs new but can’t any. Any thoughts on where to look? Thanks and keep up the GREAT work
We have 3-4 at the moment. There are the listed examples, and then we have a few more that are waiting to be listed. Shoot an email to josht@thewatchbox.com, and he can give you full details of each whether listed or not. here's a link to what we've posted so far: www.thewatchbox.com/product-category/preowned-watches/?filter_content=overseas

With $3-4k lower "street" price, in house movement, see through, quick change, extra leather and rubber ... I go for the VC.
The issue is, no one has the Blue dial in stock...🙄
Tim, I wish you had more hobbies. I want you to review everything I’m interested in haha. Seriously though...do not think that your homework that you do prior to filming these and your other watch reviews goes unnoticed. The clear speech, immense detail, explanations, and objectivity are second to none.
I would take the Constantin Overseas over any watch ! Such a Magnificent watch !
How the market has changed, today the VC Overseas holds it's value and goes up slightly pre-owned. I recently bought the VC Overseas Perpetual Calendar with the silver dial and I love it. It's worth probably 20k above sticker and I was fortunate enough to pay sticker.
I agree with you Tim I like the Vacheron Constantin Maltese case shape, display case back with sun rotor and the easy to remove three bracelets.
Vacheron Constantin (Overseas series) is the ONLY high-end watch I would ever buy. The Simple-Date, Dual-Time, and Chrono are nicer (to me) than anything made......(including Aquanaut and Nautilus).
I wouldn't buy/wear an AP under ANY circumstances.
Great video, thanks!
You would be very happy with the VC. It feels like a product rife with recent investment; the AP... feels the same as it has for a few decades.
Best,
Tim
I agree with what you said ...
May I ask why you wouldn’t buy AP ?
I’m torn between the ap chronograph and the VC overseas...
Simply the stylings of AP....I don't care for them at all....but because I don't like the stylings certainly doesn't make it a bad watch.
I don't like the screws on the front of the case nor the hex-head bolt they use for their crown.
I much prefer the look, fit, and finishing of the VC.....for more than the Patek Philippe Genta designs as well.
And while I don't have first hand experience with AP-Service, I perceive the AP to be more delicate and ridiculously expensive to service.
I expect a "Sports-Watch" to be 100m (or more) water proof.
The Royal Oak is 50m and the Offshore is only 100m.
Tim what is is ur favourite from overseas date, dual time or the chrono ?
plus dont u think a lange chrono is also a nice watch ?
I think VC is the winner here. I love the AP non chrono versions. The Royal oak chronos, seem ponderous to me. Great review Tim, I'm really enjoying the versus series.
This was the best “vs.” yet! To wear and keep, I’m going VC.
Agree with Tim here, but i'm more critical towards AP these days. Laziness is an understatement, AP might as well rename itself to RO because the rest of their line up has flat-lined. Although popular, i find ROO line gaudy and obnoxious even though they have some innovative pieces.
The blue dial of the Vacheron Constantin absolutely glows in natural light. I looked at one at a VC boutique and told them they need to put a skylight overhead just so we can view that deep blue color in the sunlight.
VC all the way, really classic. I'm afraid that the Royal Oak is at the top of my meh list so it wasn't fair for me.
Wow I'm suprised to see so many VC supporters in the comments, I thought you were going to get grilled for this one Tim ;)
My choice would be the brown dial 3rd gen Overseas. Cheers
My thought exactly. I thought Tim would get grilled for siding with VC lol
Blue is the best
I guess I might be the only person here that would rather have the AP. The RO is just so iconic, classic, and timeless that I can't imagine taking the VC over it. IMO, the RO is one of the most beautiful designs ever. Between the near perfect symmetry, size, design, and the way all the angles catch the light as it is turned, not to mention the bracelet is sooo comfortable, the RO is near perfection! 100% AP IMO!
All points taken, thanks for your thoughtful feedback!

You're wrong.
two of my favorite watches, i like the VC uniqueness, and their quality of finish, but i like the design of the AP more. I don't like that AP Royal Oak is getting scarcer and much more expensive than they should due to the high demand. I hate that VC price drops heavily and is not that loved by many. If i had to choose between them both i would also choose the VC Overseas, as i love the design, quality and uniqueness offered by the Overseas.
Good points made on both sides Abdul!
Thanks for your feedback!

Just bought 4500V overseas date model with blue dial a week ago. I'm in love with this thing.
Excellent comparison and video, thank you, Tim. I want to purchase the Vacheron Overseas Dual Time for my collection. After watching the comparison I am convinced by the Vacheron. I wish they had hacking seconds and a anti-reflective crystal though, surprising that they don’t.
Overseas is my favorite watch period as far as aesthetic and looks. The only watch I might make an exception for is the Rainbow Daytona, but you're not wearing a Rainbow Daytona as an everyday watch. I like the Royal Oak but easily take the overseas.
Somehow VC is just more pleasing to my eye, and would almost sure be my pick, even before we consider value and other things those 2 watches offer.
Hi Marko, thanks for your take. In my opinion, the VC looks its best on the included straps. The bracelet is more versatile, but I feel that the extra color and contrast of the straps bring out the best of this watch. If I have the chance to shoot a "championship" round with a Patek 5980, then I'll be certain to include the VC's straps in that feature.
Best,
Tim
I own the boutique blue edition of the AP 26320 and love it. It has actually appreciated in value since I purchased it in December 2015. That said, the VC offers a new movement with longer power reserve. Better still it comes with three strap / bracelet options. All watch brands should take notice! Nice review, Tim.
The AP is one to buy new; the VC is the one to buy used. If you have the wrist to wear the surprisingly large AP 41, its a wicked watch. The VC's triple-strap feature is slick though!
Best,
Tim
VC for me. Would be great if you could do an AP 15400 versus VC 4500. Am thinking between these 2, partly because price point is lower and I prefer simpler dials. Which one would you pick? Thanks in advance and good job Tim, as always!
Thanks for the suggestion Ray!

I thoroughly enjoy these videos. Extremely informative and beautifully done. I also really like that you declare your choice for a winner and don’t say, “...but it really boils down to personal taste.”
Another solid one, Tim. I miss the big date on the VC. Respect to AP for keeping their watch thin.
Love the Vacheron, that blue dial💙Really appreciate your extensive knowledge and detailed reviews!
VC for me. The only area the AP wins is that the Royal Oak probably has one of the best looking bracelets ever. But then the VC comes with 3 brilliant bracelets which are easy to change. So the VC still wins out in that area as well.
This is the first versus that really made me take a long, hard look before making a final decision. The date window on the VC throws the dial a bit out of balance, although the 'blue-tiful' dial takes it a long way for me. The color may eventually fall out of style, by I don't think I'd fall out of love with it in my lifetime. I'd personally never own either of these (only due to alternative options at this price point), but the VC takes it by a hair due to the dial and movement finishing. A very thoughtful Versus video. Please keep the high quality content coming!
VC for the win! Beautiful time piece and would love to see one in the metal. Another great versus Tim and crew, bravo!
Thank you, Aaron! I'm pushing for a second feature along these lines - hopefully, as a Saturday morning feature. Stay tuned for that.
Best,
Tim
I finally found a VC combo I like and can wear. A great boutique allowed me to put it on the rubber strap and it transformed the look and feel. It really help combat the thickness and fell in love. Now I can finally add it to my collection. Now just the Patek to complete the trinity.
Excellent choice, wear it (and all of your watches) in great health!
Best,
Tim
Difficult choice. Like them both but the VC wins it for me but not without a sleepless night. Both watches have flaws and at this price range they should fix this in future editions. The VC needs a date window in the same colour as the dial! This could be a deal braker for me. The AP needs a see through caseback and an update of the movement. I think that it is a shame that VC removed the double date, because I like a big date, but overall the VC is nice package with three straps, a beautiful movement, a killer bracelet, and a more stealthy look. Maybe I would want them both very badly:-)
I agree how you put it, and it's exactly how it is. Nice one. VC and it's design philosophy compare to the 'look' (and strongly dated and not timeless in my opinion) of the Royal Oak. It's an idea. And the VC breaths that all over. The brown dial one i strongly like as well...beautiful. But above my price range though...
I'm absolutely loving these versus videos, keep up the good work.
Thank you Peter; there's more to come! My goal is to build the most entertaining and informative platform for watch buyers; Versus is the first leg of that project.
Best,
Tim
Good detailed comparison review, I would stay away from both VC and AP as JLC fills that gap behind PP.
As a collector of JLC, I'm ready to admit that Le Sentier doesn't have a true equivalent to either of the subject watches from this video. In other words, JLC isn't in this race. I would have to go back to the JLC 42001 of the 1970s to find something that even *looks* like these watches. A JLC powered AP 15202 would be as close as you can get today.
Best,
Tim
Tim,
You mention how technologically advanced the VC OS but consider no full bridge and no free-sprung balance. I agree with others and think the VC OS lugs flare out too wide from the bracelet giving it a FPJ Octa Sport look, which I am not a fan of.
A few questions, if you don't mind:
- How does the VC OS manage that level of anti-magnetism with a metallic hairspring and open caseback?
- Did Genta design the original VC OS/its predecessors?
Thank you.
Best,
Mark
I never said the VC was perfect, but it does represent a major upgrade - as a watch and as a movement - over the AP, an entire model family long bereft of serious investment. 1) VC uses a paramagnetic ring around the movement; "para" magnetic materials attract magnetism, and that's why my narrative mentioned "channeling" field lines. The ring around the movement literally pulls the field around the movement in the center. 2) No, Genta had nothing to do with the Overseas. This G3 Overseas is a combination of the 1977 model 222 by a young Jorg Hysek, and the 1996 Overseas Gen-1 designed by VC's Vincent Kaufmann and a freelance designer named Dino Model (often associated with Corum in the 1990s and 2000s).

Tim
Tim,
Thank you for your thoughtful and insightful response. All the best the Holiday weekend!
Best,
Mark
How wide is the VC OS bracelet where it joins the case/at its widest (I know the lug spacing is proprietary)?
I wish you also do a vs of non chronograph models
I respect your opinion, I own one of both and it is very tough to decide, but if I could only own one I’d go with my Royal oak rose gold bracelet with black dial solely on appearance alone. I love my Patrimony Vacheron with a leather band. So it’s very difficult to decide because you are comparing apples to oranges.
You did a really nice job here (as always).
Thanks for your kind words Linden!

Great video as ever! I have an AP 26331 (the 2017/2018 version of the one shown here) and I adore it. I managed to try on the same overseas yesterday and I have to say you won’t be disappointed with either. The Overseas does feel smaller on the wrist than the Royal Oak, I prefer the feel of the Royal Oak but the overseas is great too. The VC bracelet feels smoother but the AP’s looks better. I viewed it with my mother who is in to watches but nowhere near as much as I am and remarked “It looks like they’re trying to emulate AP”.
To me it’s a heart/head proposition. My head says VC and my heart says AP. It’s really a shame that AP has just raised their prices in the U.K. as of yesterday too. That means whichever you go for buying pre-owned is a better value play! CQ said you guys can ship here via Switzerland so I think I’ll have to give you guys a call soon!
AP probably spends a bit more time on finishing of case and bracelet than VC. The Vacheron is perhaps 9/10 of the AP's aesthetic appeal and 9/10 of the external finishing quality. I allotted a few extra points to VC for the movement, resistances, ergonomics, and the value of the QR strap system (with extra straps). I do believe that if this were solely an external finish and style shootout, AP would have won.
Best,
Tim
I’d prefer the three hand date versions of either over their chronograph siblings, and I’d take the Overseas over the Royal Oak in both instances.
SEIKO CREDOR has a good finish. Every detailed you cant even imagine. Dissapointing to hear VC has bad finish as it is my fav watch by far although never owned one.
Isn't the F. Piguet 1185 a free sprung balance? The notes in the video seem to suggest otherwise.
Brown dial VC, please!
Now that you've seen my choice, what is yours?
Best,
Tim
VC for me, but I prefer it in rose gold. Beautiful.
great review and awesome background music
Wow that Invenit et Fecit CB easter egg was spot on. Who writes this stuff?? Great great job
Any vs with the new AP 26240? I agree the VC is a much better value and had versatility and newness as overwhelming pros! But!! I can't stop looking at the AP and saying I want that one above all others. Ik it's too costly pre-owned. Ik it's dated. Ik I doesn't come with a quick release bracelet function. But I KEEP STARING AT IT!! Give it to me!!!😂
Vacheron constantin for me
We agree! Which dial variant of the Overseas would you choose? I have to admit that I love the discontinued brown sunburst unreasonably
Best,
Tim
@@the1916companywatchreviews blue dial with rubber strap is a sensational piece
Big time. The blue of the dial resembles the Journe CB more than anything from rivals Patek or Audemars Piguet.
Best,
Tim
video quality is very good - I can see the damn soul scratches right there! as to the choice - I'm not fan of chronographs but this AP design as a whole is stunning! it is so well balanced - really you just stare at it - wow! But I wouldn't buy chronograph anyway.
Full disclosure; pre-owned watches... some scratches included! Both brands likely would pitch a fit if I filmed this as "Govberg," the new watch/AD side of the company. I get more flexibility as a pre-owned vendor with Watchbox, and I ensure that we tell the entire story - scratches included - of our watches. It's possible to lie with camera angles, and I'm proud of the fact that we'll never do that while I'm around.
Best,
Tim
your "talking hands presentations" are impeccable Tim - no kidding! To the point - condensed, informative and honest! I've been fan for years.
AP For me. Maybe VC for older generation
VC is a more modern watch, the AP keeps better value. Conclusion: hard to choose.
On design, I'd go with the AP by a narrow margin. Mechanically, or on the basis of value, the VC, especially pre-owned. Also, if frequent swimming is on the agenda, the VC without hesitation.
Best,
Tim
Currently having the same dilemma.. VC 5500 reverse Panda or blue AP chrono. Heart says VC, Head AP.
Both are definitely a great choice!

The VC wins .
Good call. Especially in chronograph form, the Overseas has the versatility to replace 3-4 conventional sports watches and dress models.

Non hacking seconds on the VC says it all.
Chip Wong Ummm...AP doesn’t hack either. Nor does PP for that matter
For me, VC is the best
Vc is a grail!
Indeed: make mine the steel/brown dial!
Best,

VC gets my vote. It's close, but the RO seems dated. Integrated bracelet looks nice, but the option to swap makes it feel like a 3v1 and RO is on the losing end.
As a standalone, the AP is impressive. But compared to VC's huge and tangible investment in the 2016 Overseas, the AP product seems a bit cynical; the same product for a long time with regular price hikes and scant R&D.
Best,
Tim
Can anyone tell me who he thinks makes the VC dials?
I love this videos but please Lange 1 vs Chronometre Bleu
Why bother? FPJourne CB takes it hands down as an instant icon that will be worth $50k+ in a number of years...
We shot a CB a few weeks ago, so we'll probably give it a rest for a while before featuring it in a second comparison. However, I have made a Lange comparison a near-term priority. If it can't be L1 vs CB, what comparison involving a Lange and a rival would you like to see?
Best,
Tim
Great comparison!
This one was a pleasure to film. And the VC's removable bracelet permitted some of the closest and easiest movement shots we've taken since starting the series.
Best,
Tim
Great review!
both don't have tachemtere which comes the great question why we have chronograph
Does the AP steel come with without Gold ?
What dial manufacture are you referencing, Tim, when you say that Geneva is a small place?
Literally, I said all that I can in the video.
Best,
Tim
my guess would be fp journe
Do a search on “Cadraniers de Genève”. It’s FPJs own dial manufacturer. Several articles mention they also supply dials to VC.
Chris Barry Doesn't Tim have "history" with FP Journe?
Vacheron pisses on Audemars, the bad thing is that they don't sell well, but as a piece of watchmaking, Audemars is actually becoming more and more Rolex every day, increasing its production. So no, there is no comparison.
I'm Vietcong and I go for VC
VC is a great watch & the strap system is awesome...however in the flesh the sex appeal of the AP wins by miles.
Agreed,. I own both the overseas and the Royal Oak... Love them both, but I find I wear the overseas more. I actually appreciate the more conservative design. Tim, another great video.Your horological knowledge and vocabulary Result in videos with unmatched quality. Hope to buy a grand Lange from your store soon.
We agree again Tim
VC for me. Sit down ap
I’ll take an Audemars Piguet any day ! My favorite watchmaker , you fall in love with them
wow a tough call.
Certainly! Thanks for watching Richard!
- WatchBox Team
Is the pre-owned blue dial overseas still trading below list price?
3rd gen seems to be going for nearly $40K if you can find one. List is $32K
Both watchers are nice but the people who are saying the voucher on is better looking you need glasses the bracelet alone wipes the floor with the vacheron
You can actually get some discount from VC AD. And the new Gen 3 overseas are holding their values very well! VC > AP any day.
This is true. If you were to buy a Gen 3 with a standard price accommodation from a dealer, you wouldn't lose much despite buying new. VC overpriced and overproduced the Gen 3 in 2016, but the watch makes far more sense today. Vacheron pared back production volumes after the first year and rivals like AP and Patek implemented price hikes that made the VC more competitive. Vacheron had the misfortune to launch the far costlier Gen 3 into a very tough market for all watches back in 2016.
Best,
Tim
WatchBox Reviews Tim - saw your comment back to my earlier question about finding a quality preowned G3 VC Chrono. In terms of new, what “standard price accommodation” I be aiming for at an AD for the Overseas Chrono? I ask as the last two ADs I went into said they’d cover tax and no more. Thx in advance for any guidance
Tim, which of the Overseas do you think is a better buy at the moment? The blue dial Dual Time vs Black Dial Automatic (said to be limited in production) or reversed Panda/Blue dial chrono? I like all of them! I do have an Omega speedy and a Patek 5960/1A as chrono and Rolex Sky-Dweller as dual time. Still, i just couldnt resist the new blue/black Dial on the new Vacheron Overseas! The picture/video just dont do the watch justice imo!
the jlc has a better movemetn thinner and better charge hours
Thank
Hands down the AP royal oak especially in the boutique blue dial. The royal oak bracelet is far superior than VC.
Not a bad choice, thanks for your feedback!

The people who are picking bascharon / AP cannot afford the AP
Robert Lulek Not necessarily true. As matter of fact i own both the VCOS (two 49150 black and silver, one 4500 blue) and APRO (15202 blue), and the OSs spend way more wrist time than the RO does. Don’t get me wrong, i love my RO, but i can’t stop looking at my wrist every time i wear any of my Overseas. I think that for most people who are purchasing and collecting watches of this level, budget is not really an issue. In most cases is a matter of taste and in some others a matter of recognition. The RO is a lot more recognizable than OS, particularly by people who are outside watch collecting world. That is why along with PP Nautilus, it is so popular among people who like to flaunt their watches, like rappers. In my opinion, the OS is a more elegant and more discreet watch than the RO, and is mostly recognized by enthusiasts and collectors and wore by poeple of a specific class and taste. That is not always the case with Royal Oaks, particularly the Offshore.
Torn...can't do that pencil neck VC OS case/bracelet junction...also can't do 50m water resistance.
Por poquito el AP, pero los dos son hermosos
VC please :)
You chose well; it does not disappoint. What was the deciding factor from your perspective?
Best,
Tim
What’s this song!!!
you might as well go for the polaris ... becasuse those watches belong to be thin ...
Really even. Cant choose.
Both are superb. VC is the choice for value, ergonomics, and movement interest; AP's at an advantage by virtue of design and external finish.

Tim

the vacheron seems cheap the way the bracelet comes up when you look at them side-by-side the AP gives The flash run a good kick in the ass in beauty. It is rated above the vacheron for a reason
music?
Vacheron all day! AP is made like fragile garbage for what they charge. VC is serouojsly amazing
The Vacheron's caliber almost certainly was designed to be more robust than the Blancpain/F. Piguet 1185 in the AP. Since the first two generations of the Overseas used the same caliber, it's inconceivable that VC didn't benchmark that and seek to surpass it in every way -- durability included -- with the caliber 5200.
Best,
Tim
VC
Spot on. Make mine the brown dial.
Best,
Tim
WatchBox Reviews yeeeesssss sir , the brown dial is just stunning . Im not a blue type of guy .
Also consider the new tone-on-tone black dial with silver registers. While blue is hot right now, I think that the new "inverse Panda" is the best play for a watch that will age gracefully. The brown is quirky and is likely to remain a niche choice.
Best,
Tim
WatchBox Reviews sir , you guys should do (if possible or even just a segment) of upcoming watches even if it is just a rumor, newly launched ones too . It's nice to give new watch buyers options. I would just like to say good shows and a big hello from the Philippines
Thank you for reaching out from the Philippines! Occasionally, we cover new watches on the other channel. I reported from SIHH last year, and I anticipate returning for 2019. And I expect that when the time comes, I'll shoot more prediction-type videos like last year's Basel previews.
This Reviews channel is driven by our inventory as a vendor more than anything, so speculative features likely will remain on the Studios channel since there would be nothing to show..
Best,
Tim
Since I watch JCB’s view, I choose hublot
AP has much more class. VC Bucherer blue?
AP for the bracelet alone
It's impressive. The AP wins on external finish and design quality. While good, I don't believe that the VC's case and bracelet are as exhaustively hand-finished as the AP. Moreover, VC's design is familiar to Overseas fans, but there are some compromises inherent in the Gen-3 that I don't see in the 26320. VC won this battle on ergonomics, value, and movement finish. Water and magnetic resistance helped to pad the win for Vacheron.
Best,
Tim
