I remember when Bowie died how upset I was even though I'd never been hugely into him. When they were playing all his songs in the next few days I realised how immensely his songs and music had been the soundtrack of the last 50 years and how insanely varied and amazing his music was. I also saw him and his wife in London at a movie premiere in the last 90s. We were drinking in Leicester Square and went to see what the crowd was for and watched the celebrities arrive and Bowie was there with his beautiful wife Iman
Your videos are a comfort to watch during this time as an American. I want to share that I bought my first tarot cards :) I mentioned it I think a video or two ago to you that I was tempted to get one. Well, I went out and picked the one that was calling to me. It's the Rainbow Tarot deck and I realized why it was calling me so much since it was also illustrated by So Lazo. It's a beautiful deck if you've ever seen it. I love the deck you used in this video! I love the glossy metallic edges; it makes holding them more majestic. I hope the days are treating you well. 😊
That’s a great deck! I hope it brings you answers and clarity. It must be very tough for all those who have a president they didn’t vote for - we all feel for you x
Bliss montage is one that intrigues me and I just love how visceral the textures look on that cover. I'll try severance as it is waiting for me on my shelf, and then in the end like that one I'd go on to read this. But otherwise good to know it is more in her lane and it could be one to skip if I don't like severance. The man who fell to earth sounds good. The stills from the film look so weird?? I think it's not one for me either haha I too, do not want to peek behind that curtain. Yeahh sometimes in fantasy novels and such you shouldn't throw away the weapons that could save your life!
It looks like you read some good books that you enjoyed. I haven't ever really been a David Bowe fan, not sure why. The movie and book sound interesting for sure. 😍
You're always so on schedule, how are you so productive, I think i have a video to post since september, but I haven't finished editing it. And you have kids! I'm in awe
@@ChanelChapters l love how you caveated the pointing out of heavy handed bisexual signaling being a bit cringe by reminding any potential angry cancelling assassins that you have community immunity by being bisexual yourself. Absolutely ruthless strategic vision and employment of the community immunity card in advance. My admiration grows.
@@ChanelChapters yes but you have to be careful as you are here. needs to be used like the 'get out of jail free' card in Monopoly, strategically, not every day. I have used my community immunity card from a certain ethnic ancestry immunity thing a few times. allows me to say certain things and survive. neverthless we have to be careful its a real battlezone out there and we must not become casualities. Congratulations on being such a prominent leader in the bisexual community in your end of Australia btw. really amazing
honestly you should write the way your face lights up chatting about Bowie & the movie take that energy and scribe it into a story or narrative. also back in the 70s well before the internet, nudity was all so transgressive still and so edgy they were still in that era so really it was all so avante garde and dangerous for Bowie to do that movie
I’ve never seen that Bowie movie but I do love a weird film. Recently saw The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension and it was so campy and so bizarre. Have you seen it?
@@ChanelChapters ooh go watch it, you won’t regret it. Well, that might not be true but you’ll have opinions and thoughts I’m sure! For me it was worth it for the ending credits. Heheh. ☺️
Key video take away...narrative? Writing? Character? No, it's trauma caused by David Bowie's junk. Look up David Bowie Heroes live in Berlin 2002. That'll make it all better. You gave The Girl In Red 4 stars but complained about most of it. Some Dresden books make me feel like that. I enjoyed them but there are a few issues.
Good Bowie reference. Also good knickers... and haircut !!
🤭

They were a stunning couple
And his music was unique

I enjoyed the book but could have gone without the movie dong

Was certainly a memorable experience

I think it’s the Aries/type A in me- I just like getting shit done and then lying down to read for 6 hours straight
okay i NEED to watch this movie with Bowie now
lol I’d say enjoy but i honestly don’t know who’d really enjoy it
I am laughing my head off at your hilarious comments on the girl in red and its flaws
😊

@ hahaha community immunity card - that’s great, does it work though? We will see I guess

Thank you for providing the context - I’ve seen 70s porn but no 70s movies with nudity so wasn’t sure what the deal was

@@MarleneTheresa no I haven’t and that is legit the weirdest film title I’ve ever heard

Hahaha did I!?? I’ll have to be more mindful of how I review because i did actually enjoy it
