    Femke is a treasure! So humble, down to earth, and with an almost childlike innocence and enthusiasm. You don't get the feeling she's just saying words that sound nice; it's clear everything she says is genuine and heartfelt.

    so cool alyson felix is her hero because like Femke Felix also had a super fluent running style and run different compared to their fellow competitors. most opponents are super muscular and more like power runners, while both Felix and Bol look more like gazelles when they run. Go Femke go, this will be your year!

      Mens 400mH is probably going to be way tighter than the womens even! Also 800m womens will be very competitive as well as 100m Mens & 100mH womens. These are all bound to be cracking races!

      @@francescostano4445 Correction: a very, very tiny subset of Americans don't appreciate her.
      The large majority of Americans don't follow Track & Field, so they are indifferent to all athletes (but would probably prefer American athletes if asked because of patriotism).
      I would say that most of the actual American T&F fans would prefer Americans to win (again: patriotism), but can certainly appreciate talents from other countries (heck, the NCAA is the biggest international talent pool).
      Then there is a tiny group of toxic Americans online, some are overly patriotic, some suffer from the White Knight Syndrome, but most are just trolls and not T&F fans at all.
      By the way, that last group exists on both sides of the fence, there are some toxic Dutchies online too ...

      @@francescostano4445 Don't worry, he's just a troll.
      It's totally fine to be a fan of Sydney, she's an amazing athlete (like Bol), but this guy actively searches Femke Bol content only to talk trash.
      If you just ignore him he'll probably go elsewhere to try and get the attention he so desperately needs ...

    Sydney has just run the 400 in 48.75 in New York!

    • @DarklordZagarna
      @DarklordZagarna Месяц назад +3

      It's asinine that World Athletics makes it so hard for athletes to run both the 400 and 400 hurdles. Sydney and Femke would easily go 1-2 in both of them if the schedule allowed it. Men's isn't quite so clearcut but Warholm, Benjamin and Dos Santos would at least be serious medal contenders at a bare minimum. Swimming does a much better job of avoiding obvious scheduling conflicts like this-- that's how Phelps was able to win eight golds in one Olympics.
      Just set it up with 100, 400, 1500 and 10000 the first several days and 200, 800, 5000, 100(110)h, 400h the second several days! It's not that complicated!

    What does she mean that her talent is 'on the lactic part' ? Does that mean that she is really good in running through exhaustion?

    • @DexterGordon-dr8qd
      @DexterGordon-dr8qd 2 месяца назад +4

      What she means that she normally is not the fastest in the first 200 meter, but then makes the difference in the second half of the race where others lose power because of the lactic acid build up in their muscles, while she can keep running better and faster, because A.) she has less lactic acid build up and also B.) because she can keep running with lactic acid in her muscles...

    • @maanvis81
      @maanvis81 2 месяца назад +2

      @@DexterGordon-dr8qd Thanks for the explanation! I knew about lactate through a video that TeamNL made about the lactate training of Lieke Klaver and the dutch Athletics team (of TeamNL).you can find this video here: "SCHREEUWEN, KREUNEN EN HUILEN?! 😭 | Zó traint atlete Lieke Klaver 🏃‍♀ | Op weg naar Parijs" , it's in dutch with automaitc subtitles, but the auto subtitles should give an idea, and it's an awesome video. Femke Bol is also in it doing the lactate training with Lieke, I just didn't know about Femke's better "Lactate ability" :)
