      Appreciate you man! 🙏🏾🙏🏾
      Definitely does have its advantages in almost anything online based. Don’t really have to outsource anything which is kinda nice.
      But it can all definitely be learned. I learned in 2020 from RUclips. 🤷🏾‍♂️🤣

    Great tips! I have a Sony a6400 w/ a Tamron 17-28 f2.8. My question is what are your settings? Do you keep your shutter speed high or keep it low. Also FPS? Thanks keep up the great videos.

      Settings fairly simple.
      I shoot in 60fps
      Shutter Speed 125 (180° rule)

    Ive thought about recording also but its tough haha im still using the canon 1dx mark ii which is a huge body. I also have a background in videography and photography, 50mm is also my favorite focal length but i use my 24-70 f2.8 more often. I love geeking out on camera or tech in general haha

      Haha you and me both. I can talk cameras all day! And that 24-70 is the ultimate utility lens. Basically covers all your video focal lengths !

    Couple questions. I'm into cinematography as well. When you're out on the course are you only using your 50, or are you changing your lens'? Are you setting up full sticks every time you get to tee? It'll be great if you go a bit deeper into your setup.

    • @quaypotts
      @quaypotts  3 месяца назад

      The 50 is the only lens. Recently been bringing a 2nd camera with a 24mm that camera will be on sticks just for the tee shot.
      Other than that.. the 50 is operated by a camera person (my girl) she’s either handheld or on a monopod.
      If not for her I probably wouldn’t use a 50 just because you’d have to get the camera pretty far to get good composition. If I was filming myself I’d be on a 24 or a 24-70 or 24-105 ..something like that.

    Thanks for the knowledge Quay!! Great share for us novice content creators. From a mic perspective - for new folks, Ulanzi and Hollyland mics are good and budget friendly.
    I think the only thing left (for me anyway) is how you do your tracer. That would be a good one. Videos on editing and production overall could go down serious rabbit holes. I’m learning Davinci Resolve - since they have a free version and like my man said in a previous comment the learning curve is a big one.

      Yeah Davinvci is a good programs i know lots people that use it.
      But yeah I can do some editing tutorial videos for sure.

    Great video. For my golf channel, I just upgraded to a Sony A7III with the 70/200 2.8 GMaster OSS. It’s still winter up here but have had a chance to start testing it and I’m absolutely blown away by the footage. Game changing stuff

      70-200 for golf content is kinda crazy. But if you can get the camera far away enough those shot would look crazy good. I need to see what that looks like. Update me when you shoot something with that set up lol

      @@quaypotts I’ll definitely keep you posted. Most will be filmed at a distance for sure. Playing a lot of tournaments this year so want to cover them in a unique way. Test footage I’ve done in 2.8 so far has been amazing

    i use a gopro 10 lol and had no idea how to edit so its been a steep learning curve lol

    • @quaypotts
      @quaypotts  6 месяцев назад +1

      Honestly bro. It’s really all in the editing. You can make banger videos with just about any type of camera. But it can definitely be learned. Just requires a lot of ‘WANT TO’ .. it’s all fairly simple once you learn the tools .
