He killed one guy, on accident but that also points to why hes a villain and why it was necessary for the government to get a handle on the "salvage" operation. Its an unfortunate which came first, chicken or the egg argument. Is vulture making weapons for low lvl crooks because he had to be underground due to the government seizing control. Or was the government in the right to take control over this alien tech out of fears that it would make the exact situation that happens in the movie play out.

      lmao Brucey boi is a trustfund baby. He never earned any of his money, Wayne Corp basically runs itself with the best minds and machines money can buy. Bruce Wayne could have fixed nearly every problem in Gotham without ever leaving the house if he just reinvested it into mental health treatment (NOT Arkham Asylum) and social programs and the production of well paying union jobs and prison work release programs he could have defeated every villain before they could do anything. The reason it would foil even the Joker? Joker has one super power. ONE. Its the power of the best human resources department in the comic universe. He never runs out of down and outs to convert to crime. Ever wonder how so many "thugs" come to work for the vilest criminal in the universe? Its because society denies them their rights. What sort of healthcare system does Gotham have? Have you ever seen a rehabilitation for regular people with mental illness in that town? Remember in the Dark Knight how Batman even convinces Harvey Dent not to kill a man to get information because he was a troubled schizophrenic? How are there so many people with untreated mental illnesses in that city? Instituting free healthcare and human services in Gotham would save them billions in infrastructure costs alone because Gotham Bridge wouldn't blow up every other Thursday. So basically what I'm saying is Batman is the real villain and not someone to look up to. Also Vulture did more for the working class than Bruce Wayne ever did.

However, we understand that this is unfair to you and your workers, so we are prepared to reimburse you for the equipment expenditures as well as pay each of you the projected wages you would have earned had you been allowed to fulfill your contract."
      There, problem solved. Toomes and his crew get paid as if they fulfilled the contract, and they don't even need to do anything. It's not like money is an issue. I doubt this crew is more than 20 guys (and that's highballing it), and if Toomes got a contract from the city he would have had to make the lowest bid. Plus, this is the same government that built a helicarrier...and after this scene, would build _three_ _more_ of them. Paying a dozen or so guys for a city salvage contract is _nothing_ .

Exit clauses save lives.

    • @DanteLovesPizza
      @DanteLovesPizza 4 года назад +4

      I think the issue was about who was physically dealing with it. Ultimately, it came down to the point that, if Toomes or one his crew decided to slip one away for personal uses, who then gets the slap? Just the guy who took it? Toomes? The team supervising? Tony Stark who was overseeing the entire thing? Government for even working with Tony Stark?
      Honestly, I'm not a fan of this whole hierarchy for blame and it's pretty meaningless realistically, but the bottom line was, they needed to know whom they were employing were of lower risk, at which point they can just convict the one guy who broke the rules.
      I think having them reimbursed like what everyone else suggested makes more sense, but as we're not shown whether Toomes actually took it up with Stark Industries, it's hard to judge whether he made contact and got ignored, thus took this route, or whether he never bothered to make contact at all.
      I'm not siding with either side and honestly, I understand where Toomes is coming from, but we do lack information of the part in between them being turned away and him going haywire.

While Far From Home has amazing fight sequences and effects, and Mysterio was really good imo, it felt more like an Iron Man tribute than a Spider-Man movie to me.
