Breaking Bad follows protagonist Walter White (Bryan Cranston), a chemistry teacher who lives in New Mexico with his wife (Anna Gunn) and teenage son (RJ Mitte) who has cerebral palsy. White is diagnosed with Stage III cancer and given a prognosis of two years left to live. With a new sense of fearlessness based on his medical prognosis, and a desire to secure his family's financial security, White chooses to enter a dangerous world of drugs and crime and ascends to power in the world. The series explores how a fatal diagnosis such as White's releases a typical man from the daily concerns and constraints of normal society and follows his transformation from mild family man to a kingpin of the drug trade.

i havent watch the video but i already know that skyler singing happy birthday to ted gonna be there
Mike was right Walt had severe ego
walt killing mike wasn't badass it was the actions of a petulant child who got his feelings hurt
Totally agree! Absolute bitch move... Nothing badass about this, and the weakest point of the show in my opinion. Mike was such a great character, such a badass, he deserved a much better ending than being shot by a bitchy Walt.
after that it became a lot easier to accept Walt’s downfall, they definitely knew what that would do to what the audience thinks of him
😅😂😂
Mike was going to kill him if he didn't kill him first
Mike was right. Walt let his ego go out of control
instead of the Mike scene, it should have been, "6353 Juan Tabo apartment 6"
Yes! Mikes death wasn’t badass at all.
Any of these would’ve been better:
-(the scene you suggested)
-Saving Jesse at the end of the series.
-“I am the one who knocks!”
-Visiting Gretchen and Elliot and threatening them with the “2 best hitmen”
-Confronting the bullies who were making fun of Walt. Jr.
-Running over and shooting the drug dealers who were gonna shoot Jesse (the one who shot Andreas brother).
But the Mike scene? It’s not that I’m even biased towards Mike, it just shows Walt as a coward.
I couldn't agree more
You might want to hold off…. Your boss is gonna need me.
@@cheesesteakphilly All of those are awesome moments except for his over the top speech to Skyler. That one is cringe, and is supposed to be cringe.
“Yeah.”
shooting Mike wasnt 'badass' it was more cowardice then anything.
Literally the scene that made me truly hate the show.
Cowardice? Deciding to kill the biggest badass in the show is cowardice? Nah. I hated that it happened, but Walter was the last in a long, long line of men who tried to kill Mike (and Gus). He was the only one to succeed.
You're God damn right.
In order for Walt to order and take out Mike's guys, Mike had to go first. But that was the quick decision on Walt part. Even if he did not kill Mike, and went on to take his guys out, Mike would have come after Walt. Walt killed their leader first, and cleaned out the rest hiring another crew.
then? hehehe
N° 1, not even on the list, is sending Jesse to kill Gale. The "Your Boss is going to need me" scene
no.1 is the machine gun.
@@orangewarm1 Run
I agree!! That scene was intense!! You could tell that Jesse didn't want to do it. What options did he have though!!?? They were going to kill Walt and or Jesse!!
@orangewarm1 do you mean the M17?? I forget the actual name. I was in the ARMY. I had to carry one of those on a 20 mile hike with a 60lb rucksack!! Let me tell you; that bad boy only weighs like 7 pounds. But when you're humping up and down hills for 20 miles it feels like a heavy cinder block!!-lol. I love the way that Walt set it up to spray the whole house!! Killed all the bad guys. And then when Jesse killed that one kid by strangling him!!?? That was Epic
"Face Off" is numero uno, how is that not even on the list?
Knowing now that Crazy-8 was a DEA snitch, it explains his initial hesitation to smoke Walt and Jesse. Some things the feds weren't going to absolve him of.
He was?
He seemed pretty intent on doing it though.
No, Emilio was, that's how he got out so quick
@@reservoirfrogs2177wrong it was crazy 8
I don’t think Crazy-8 would’ve told the DEA about murdering
Mikes death was not a badass move. He lost control. Substitute it with the machine gun.
Substitute it with "You might wanna hold off."
Walt killing Mike was impulsive behavior motivated by pride and ego. Right after the shooting , Walt realizes that Lydia has the info he seeks.
honestly i think telling mike that lydia has the names was calculated. he wanted mike to die knowing his guys were gonna get murdered
lydia having the info doesn't really matter though
How did Walt tricking Mike by using his phone not make it on here?!
I think the way Walt executes Jack mid sentence and then reveals to Lydia that she's already dead is one of Walt's most badass moments, as well as 'Because your boss is gonna need me...'
'Tread lightly...' is another that deserves a mention.
Definetly jack is the king geoffrey of breaking bad
That Tuco scene is pretty badass!
When tuco asks “are you fucking nuts” then there’s something seriously wrong with you 😂😂
Walt spoke the only language Tuco understands - madness.
I'd replace his shooting of Mike - which was an epic tragedy plus a cosmic blooper he couldn't take back - with the killing of Uncle Jack's crew. THAT was badass.
uncle mike?
Oops! Poor memory. @@rxslol
Yeah fuck Jack & his Nazi gang. This series is full of incredibly satisfying moments, from exploding Krazy-8 & what's-his-face, to Walter choking Krazy-8 to death as he desperately tried to kill him with the plate (though now that I think of it-- what was his plan after that??? Starve to death in the basement or get wasted by Jesse? Lol).
But that final scene where he kills all those evil bastards, then tells Lydia she's fuckin dead (with the added personal dig at "that stevia bullshit you're always putting in your tea", that whole shit was over the top satisfying 😍
@@scratchyinkittenmittons His plan was to shank Walt as soon as he released him. Walt saw through it and decided to kill him instead, and he just stabbed at him out of desperation trying to survive another minute if he could. There was no plan beyond just 'survive'.
"This is not meth" is honestly my favourite, badass moment of the series. When it aired, i remember being shook at how incredible that move was. To me, this is the moment Walt truly became Heisenberg. Thanks to these Shorts I'm rewatching the whole series 10 yrs later 🥰
me too
"I am the one who knocks" is the moment
The series is one brilliant piece of art. I wish I could take a pill to forget it and watch it again.
Seconded!
Best comment! So do I. I get so jealous when I hear someone hasn’t watched it yet.
Time will do that sufficiently that you'll enjoy it again. If not already, then within another 10y.
Trust me, age does that shit.
Just watch it again like i do
@@nickbrutanna9973 This. I waited close to 10 years and had forgotten plenty of details.
In a parallel universe
Krazy-8: Who are you, some kind of nudist?
Walt: I am the cook, I am the man who killed Gus Fring.
*Krazy-8 has left the chat*
Krazy 8 was the 1st person killed by Walter White if I remember
you're goddamn right! @@stuart23969

I didn't watch Breaking Bad since 7 or 8 years... those few moments want me to rewatch it
seen it 3 times. It so worth a review. Pro top: Fast forward anything involving Skyler, her sister and the son.
@@regularSenseAppealSeen it thrice as well but I think every character, moreso the main ones, are written extremely well including the three you mentioned
This is a series that's better the second or third time around imo. Def rewatch it. I honestly felt it dragged a bit the first time, but was stoked on every minute rewatching.
@@Jigga777 I agree. I felt more like skipping those parts the first viewing. Rewatching I appreciated those characters more. They help form the whole picture.
"Stay OUT of my territory."
Mike shaking his head during the “say my name” speech is peak fuckin Mike. Lol
" We have 40 lbs of product ready to ship" Phil Hartman voice
at 18.36 the famous Howard Dean scream is hilarious.
I had to search up Howard Dean, lol I forgot about that guy, and holy crap you are right. It’s 100% the same soundbite 😂
okay fine i'll rewatch again for the 7th time since this popped up
I think that the prison scenes where they took out all the snitches at once was Epic!! It all took less than 15 minutes. Hank was pissed off!!!-lol
not sure the ways were Walt's idea, only the timescale.
Not 15 but 2 minutes
Walt killing Mike was almost as low as poisoning the child
It was much worse. Nobody likes that kid, but Mike?? We love Mike, mang!
Mike's death may show how dangerous Walter is, but it also showed how dangerous he was to himself. His inability to control his pride meant he was invariably going to come down.
No just how out of control and the cancer was back. He had to take a back seat to the team he got screwed over when he was young. He just got carried away
I just realized that Lidia has names and I could get it from her. When I watched that scene I was frustrated because of "stupid" death of Mike. But only now I realised. He didn't shot him because of that. That wasn't the main reason. 12:58 It was Walt's ego. He shot him because he was angry, not because of nescesity.
When Walt killed Mike was the turning point for me. At that point I didn't care if Walt lived or died. But it was one of the best series on tv.
From that point until the very end I felt the same way, but the way he saved Jesse and pretty much left him the last man standing redeemed him to me, also it was genius how he made himself look like a psycho so that Skyler wouldn't come under as harsh of questioning. When he sends that voice message to her and tears up after, it pretty much confirms what his real intention is.
What about the end? When he takes out Uncle Jacks crew and Lydia?
If that would've been included instead of the brat-fit killing of Mike, I think it would've erroneously painted Walter to have heart to match his balls. An apt description for Mike, or Ed the Disappearer maybe. Not Walter.
epic
Stoggy!@@MomMom4Cubs
The say my name still gets me every time. Watching all the episodes really bring this sence to it's up most hype.
Gold, best show ever.
I always though the electrical outlet cutting the plastic wrist cuffs was pretty badass. should be top 10.
Most saddest shocking bit, Mike dies.😢
Walt poisoning Brock was the most badass scene
Haha damn that’s cold!
lmao
that's not badass that's lowlife thug thing
Loòooooooool
Gotta be that or when he watched Jane drown in her own vomit
Fulminated mercury. The last time I heard that particular chemical mentioned on screen was in the movie, The Guns of Navarone!!
It was used in early pinfire cartridges.
still gives me goosebumps these scenes, incredible show
You missed the machine gun in the trunk scene. Classic!
M-60 in the Trunk was Epic , those rounds fly through you not just into you!!!
You could very faintly see at 2:39 how walt has his Heisenberg self switch over through his eyes
Yeah, that last scene was what really made the series notch up a level, made everyone go "Holy Shit!" the first time, at the water cooler the next day... Especially the way it worked in the episode, which I won't give away.
“You let us both live” Walt had honor since the beginning
He doesn't have honor lol. That's a significant part of his character.
@@AK-rv6dq lol honor for Jesse
you better watch the series again. Every time he lied to Skyler he lost honour.
You have a very warped idea of honor
He had love, not honour.
Fring face off not in top 5? Best death in TV history.
Was sad to see Mike go.
Also him saying he is the danger is very deserving of being in this list. Also I agree killing Mike isn’t a badass moment, like by any means.
"Fulminated Mercury with a little tweak of chemistry." Walter White gave a new courage to intellectuals everywhere. RIP Walter!!! You were the Ultimate Bad Ass!!!
was waiting for that last one... the moment walter officially became a badass mf... the stakes may have gotten higher as the seasons went on... but nothing ever topped that
"Run." was the best by far.
Walt is the ultimate badass when he says say my name and afterthebdude says Heisenberg " YOUR GODDAMNED RIGHT!!! 😊😊😊
Note that moment where Mike had this look on his face when hearing Walter say he should get 5 million of the 15 million. LOL! So well played !
RIP Mike, he's the best character in this universe.
Replace Killing Mike scene with the scene where Walt sets the BMW on fire at the gas station using the windshield washer squeegee as justice for the old lady that the BMW driver almost ran over.
Was just thinking that
I was looking for Heisenberg uncertainty principle 😅
i still cant believe he played hal in malcom in the middle and walter white, so different (both excellent):O
where is the - i am NOT in danger I AM THE danger
That scene gave me chills of awesomeness.
The best TV on TV right here.
I know these people didn't just put killing MIKE on a "badass moments" list. Easilly Walt's worst and most cowardly decision.
Mike would have never gotten smoked by Walter.
Never.
I wish I could watch this show all over again for the first time.
The background instrumentals in the episodes are flawless
All of the musical choices were amazing. Even the songs that aren't anything I'd listen to normally lend so much additional power and intensity to their respective scenes. For example, that wacky rock track that plays when he tells those wannabe cooks to stay out of his territory. I'd never listen to it on its own, but it so perfectly captures the mood and vibe of the scene. Then there's Fred Astaire's "Pick Yourself Up" playing over the course of the GRUESOME prison murder scene; that's something I would listen to naturally, but pairing it with this absolutely ruthless string of horribly graphic murders-- it's so light and lilting and cheerful, which makes the scene so, SO much colder in my opinion. The perfect show. I know some people prefer BCS, but it's just not the same. It's a great series, but it just doesn't possess the same range, diversity of interests & emotions, and WILD levels of character development that BB does. And this is coming from a complete Mike & Saul stan! 🤌
I think breaking bad is my favourite tv series of all time.
The greatest series ever made W.W. bad ass!!!
He didn't stop, drop and roll.
"Say my name? Your Heisenberg! Your god damn right
When TUCO asks you if you are nuts... 😅😅😅😆😆
The “I’m in the empire business” is stone cold
Walter w haute is one of the greatest characters ever written played by one the best actors of our time. No one else could have played Walter, Bryan Cranston is a master.
Mike was more badass than Walt ever was by a long shot, but they should have added the: "Stay out of my territory" parking lot scene.. it was so good
Walt Killing Lydia was badass!
The video keeps getting in the way of watching all of these ads.
Love this show
It was necessary to kill Mike's men but he should have realized he could get the names easily from gail before he thought he would threaten Mike for the names and start the whole fight
Masterpiece Breaking Bad ❤
Best Drama Series ever...
how is the last scene of the show not on the list??
In the first minutes of the series Walt did about three amazingly stupid things. Beginning with throwing the respirator into the desert. In a fit of rage. Idiotic.
And I feel like watching breaking bad all over again so bad
Brilliant 🤩
Wasn’t happy when he killed mike , loved Mike
Badass was Walt advising Hank to tread lightly.
"Stay out of my territory" was the most epic scene how did it got missed!
This is so old series but only watched it easter weekend this year. Better call Saul
This show was so good
Tuco shitting on his pants and agreeing a deal based on Walter’s agreements is the most badass moment in the series ❤
Walt always negotiating to save jesse😂😂😂
"Stay out of my territory" deserved to be in this.
3:54 legendary bus with 5 holes
Walt killing Krazy-8 and Emilio was my favourite scene
The moment he came up with using fumigating houses to cook meth in.
They could have gone on like that for years.
walt killing Mike was a petulent child throwing a fit the hell you mean badass
Spoggaphy! hahahahahaHahAhasasasHsshshshss.
Killing Mike was not a bad ass move. Damn.
9:04 I tried this one on my job interview and for some reason it didn't go well, not sure why
U can forgive walt for everything but not for mike
Bryan Cranston is so AWESOME!
I remember first seeing this. And before then, Walt was Hank. Malcolm's dad. And at like one episode in he wasn't Hank anymore.
He's a great actor, just amazing in my humble opinion.
these are clearly in no random order
I wouldn't count Mike's death as a badass move by Walter. It was a mistake that he made. It wasn't a cold and calculated move like all the others.
Its anger, his pride got hurt, his childish side taking over
Oh I miss those first episodes it's sad how the history went on
something about how quiet the stabs are makes it more disturbing
I thought that when Walt took down those kids Bullying Walt Jr. That was Breaking bad...🤬👏💪👀
18:36 - Howard Dean "Heeeawww!"
My hero
Walt all along had family who would pay the bills. He got offered help to sort out everything by Grey Matter (who Walt had left of his own accord all those years ago).
At first he done what he done, and refused help, because of his deep insecurities. Then at some point he was all ego and that's why he done what he done.
Remember how annoyed Walt was when his cancer went back into remission? He was annoyed that he no longer had the excuse to keep on making meth.
Walt had millions of dollars and could have retired. But no he kept on going.
People still want to defend Walt
Best series ever.
