I love when an older seasoned actor gets their time to shine. He did so good in this role it’s insane. Complete suspension of disbelief in every scene he’s in. This clinches it, he’s my favorite character in this universe.

For me personally, my life had its biggest ups and biggest down along a 3 year timeline all because a man, who has never heard of me to this day, in a country halfway across the world one day decided to contact someone for a tarot reading. It's crazy. You could walk out the door tomorrow and your split decision to take a left turn instead of a right could potentially set off a chain reaction that leads to several deaths 10 years down the line.
Mike being a Vietnam vet holds his character together so well in both breaking bad and better call saul, the man has serious skills in deception and weapon handling which feeds his ability to perform crime and punishment in equal measure while under pressure, truly one of the best written characters in a TV show for a very long time.
This is an uncomfortable poop. It is mostly diarrhea. It's uncomfortable, but at the same time it is one of the most satisfying poops. It feels like a load is being taken off of my stomach area. Also, I didn't have a good poop for 2 or 3 days, so this feels relieving

I think it was more important to warm up his gun for the difficult shot, and the conditioning effect was a happy side effect of that. not like they would have done anything differently if there was a random shot as they turned the corner.
The shoes one is violently simple in a way I really enjoy, but I wonder how calm the wind would have to be for that stunt to work. That's my one concern with an otherwise really stupid plan on its face. Good plan, overall.

Everything about the 'red shoe scene' was perfect, the build up (getting the bag of drugs) the false 'hunter' shots, the camera work from above as it spilled out, and the long tracking shot at the border......sublime!!
Criminal, this guy put on a more convincing performance than any A-List actor out there. I’m glad he got a shot with a hit show and that so many people appreciate his dedication. At the end of the day any movie award show is really just a combination of good sales and insider connections. Emmy or no, people know and appreciate how great he is in BCS and Breaking Bad, absolutely love the old guy.
The only tough scene to act was breaking down over Matty. Apart from that, Mike has a poker face 95% of the time, so he probably has the easiest character in the cast. A great character, but I wouldn't know about Banks. He may or may not be great, but we wouldn't know from this.

You're missing one of the most clever scenes. The way Mike swapped the tracking device to make the hunter become the hunted was absolutely magnificent.
2 seasons later he burns out gus's GPS tracker by attaching its battery to that same radio player and listening to an oldies tunes station. love the little details like that.
The first scene alone demonstrates just how patient and careful he is in the execution of his plans. He had no interest in shooting Hector’s men, but also didn’t want them to be too alerted when he fired off his rifle at the shoe with cocaine inside. He had to fire off enough shots to have them let their guard down by the time he got the cocaine to sprinkle onto the truck. Quite the expert at reconnaissance and planning.
In Hollywood, they often train the dogs who portray sniffer dogs to do the classic "bark and act hyper when you smell drugs" routine. So I like that the sniffer dog in this show is more realistic and just noses around the offending truck without making a bunch of noise.
Bark training is for rescue, especially snow. Sniffer dogs are trained for this exact reaction. There are two main types of responses: object and person. For objects they sit in front of it, for person they might make a gesture, including placing their paws on the target.

Above all he's in one of the movies I have religiously watched over and over. It's Beverly Hills Cop(The first one). If you talk about Banks, that's really where I first remember him as being notable. He didn't have many lines but the one lone "Wellllllll Cuzz" is pretty fucking great.

If you talk about Banks, that's really where I first remember him as being notable. He didn't have many lines but the one lone "Wellllllll Cuzz" is pretty fucking great.

The BEST decision made by Gilligan's brain trust was to include Mike Ehrmantraut in "BCS." That character was the BEST thing about both shows. The two best television shows ever produced, despite their unfortunate subject matter.
