      I would NEBER subscribe to any channel that has to resort to such petty sales tactics such as blipping the subscribe notification incessantly across the scree... throughout any videos shown... count me out..
      I believe that is crass and uncalled for!!..

      Literally uses other people's content to make a compilation in which you beg and plead over a dozen times for likes and subscriptions (again, on content that isn't yours). Then you mess up the audio and just make it a less enjoyable experience. Your channel should be shut down (not for stealing content, but for the begging and pleading for money). You are a cancer.

      @@pizzaman9859 So how did this plot work exactly? I watched this on TV at the time and never understood it then either. So Tony tells him this cock and bull story just to get him to kill him? But why would he need to do that when they're mafia and executing people is what they do anyway? So why bother with a story? He tells him the cop is crooked and outlived his use, I presumed that part was true which is why they're there so why the additional part about Chris' dad? Chris even acknowledges he knows it's bullshit when he's with the guy before he kills him so what's the point of the story in the first place if it isn't even true? Cos the end of this episode is Chris around at his mother's place like some sort of resolution to his dad's death. I don't understand any of it.

    • @ThisIdiotsOpinion
      @ThisIdiotsOpinion  10 месяцев назад +305

      Big time! That was arguably the most important episode / death in tv history. Hbo pushed back on Tony doing that as it was unprescedented (in TV) to have your protagonist murder someone in cold blood (and not in self defence). If that scene didn't happen you probably wouldn't have gotten walter white, GOT and to a lesser degree Donald drapper (mad men).
      It pushed the boundaries of what popular TV could be and all because David Chase 1. couldn't get funding for his mob movie and 2. was a stuborn f**k who wouldn't let HBO tell him what to do.

      @DebNKY If it was a kill or be killed situation he would have killed Tony first. Poor Bobby man, Karen's funeral where he's weeping over her casket, all the scenes with Janice pulling the Ziti out, and then dying in that damn model train store, he was really screwed by the world. He still killed that one guy in the laundromat in cold blood and was an Underboss and Capo obviously, but Bobby is one of the more morally good characters in the show. The Sopranos is so good at making you really care for the worst people, like when Tony and Melfi are talking about Gloria and basically both grieving still

    • @ThisIdiotsOpinion
      @ThisIdiotsOpinion  Год назад +67

      Bobby was too pure for mafia life. He's a good example of someone who would've become someone completely different if he had a different father. Without taking any responsiblity away from him, the pressures of having a well respected and feared hitman for a father practically forced him to get involved in the life. Yet he still managed to remain an overall good(ish) man.
      Also, i don't think that Gloria is a bad person either, she was just person in pain who was fighting her demons who unfortunately lost. I think we can all relate to that.
      But you are right the fact that we actually care about Tony given how big a piece of caca he proves himself to be time and time again is a testament to how good the writing was (also James Gandolfini's charisma).

    • @JosephBrown-mw2es
      @JosephBrown-mw2es 10 месяцев назад +4

      100% agree , an example of how with him something died with too ,
      A couple of times, like the old life that perhaps had some moral qualities died in this generation.
      The episodes appear to get that message across,
      “The bodies not even cold “
      “ no respect for anything anymore “
      Sopranos delivers the fading away of respectable aspects of the families,
      The shrinking of little Italy itself, the acceptance of substance misuse another example, the old guns disapproved, of substance dealing,at least in public.
      We see how substance misuse messed things up as it does in all society, and lives.
