It was the most beautiful car in WRC. I know- group B, Delta S4-love her, it's The Queen- but Subie from 90s it's the best. So elegant and efficient at the same time.
The best and the most good looking subaru ever made !!!
That's so true. Nowadays they all look same.
SUBARU SF5 Forester way better !
When i grow up, i want to be a subaru.
Hakasauars 😂
When I grow up, I wanna be a Subaru
I'm so confused...
@@LeGoog2008 me too
@@KDD8 Sooo.. You aren't Subaru now?
Kind to the environment because sounds like baby birds. Nature loves that shit.
take up knitting = nancy boy !
Subaru Impreza WRC, the best rally car ever!
The Delta Integrale is probably the rightful owner of that title but if it were any other car, it'd have to be the Subaru.
@@@M2orNot ...that´s right, but don´t forget 9-times en suite, WRC-Champion (2004 - 2012) Citroen with Sebastien Loeb, and then too with Seb.Ogier two times.
Still I´m a "Subie-Fan" !!!
@@duophon17 Good point but Citroen used 3 different cars to get the championships. So 3 championships each.
@@M2orNot Lancia ECV. Group S successor of Group B and S4 ... 700bhp
@@mussunmussun3536 That never raced and thus doesn't have any victories to speak of.
Respect to those drivers, skills and professionalism at it's excellency!
The sound of the waste gate chattering on a scooby flat 4 is as iconic in rallying as the scream of a Ford BDA or the rasp of a Stratos, for me. Spent many a happy hour in stages waiting for that noise.
It's almost music, thank you.
Ainsi que le cri d'une Quattro au 1000 lacs ou dans une speciale du San Remo
The Impreza has never been the same since this beast the 22b without doubt the best Impreza ever.
never forgotten a true legend richard burns
Precious machines from a not so distant Rally Era. I grew watching their performances on the roads of the most different Rally sceneries all across European countries. ❤ Kind regards from Figueira da Foz, Portugal. ✨🏖️🏆
My all-time favourite car..
My god that damn turbo. I'm cargasming everywhere XD
that's what I'm saying
TheAngryCanuck sounds like rat
i know grip style driving is fast, like loeb's driving style.
but, i always love watching drift driving style, like Mcrae, like Burns, Like Mäkinen.
how can you grip on rally? lol
Not true. Just partially.
First of all, the car has to be set up for grip driving.
And on slippery tarmac, it is not faster to go full grip with these cars. There were testing done (full snow)
But ye, nasty great angle slides loose time and speed.
That's not true. Not even Loeb drives full grip. When the grip is low, only masterful weight shifting can help and that is done by sliding the car.
The Drift Style was the way of thinking back then and it certainly was spectacular and much better to watch but Loeb certainly changed the game. The only old schooler to really give him a challenge was Solberg but then the Subaru was just never good enough in that era. I've had one of these Subaru's for 14 years (road car version) as a daily, still love driving it every time!
Loeb drive cars full of stupid elettronic help.. against mediocre drivers like villagra Duval Wilson rautenback pasonen atkinson ecc not the same pressure like driver against Kankkunen makinen McRae Sainz burns auriol ecc.. they have an aggressive driving style not God for car with paddle shift and the elettronic help like Loeb have.. if Loeb drive with a gr B or a br A car without eletronic help and against Kankkunen makinen McRae Sainz burns auriol Vatanen Rohrl ecc for sure he dont win 9 titles..
The best Subaru with 2 of the best drivers ever! Iconic.
That rally blue,i could never forgot
Amazing, those were the days...bring back so many memories.
Another great find Amjayes! My fave shape of all the Impreza WRC and arguably one of the most iconic modern rally cars.
Good work, keep the vidoes coming!
back when subaru knew how to make a good looking car
Thank you for uploading. This is amazing!!!
What a fantastic car. Flying through the snow all day long 👍👍👍
The transition from feint to full throttle is insane :O
Rip Burns
the Impreza use to be my brother's favorite rally car when he was 10 years old
I actually got the privilege to ride one of these back in the early 2000's. Still the most impressive ride ever. Beauty and beast.
Superb driving and a round of applause to the camera man!
Great video. Nice sound. Good to see them both in action. Thanks mate :)
上手い、上手すぎる❗
もはや次元が違う・・・
Very much appreciated of the video. This is is my favourite rally car.
Thank you! I just learned something today. The more you know
Subaru Impreza is a legend! 😎
EPIC SOUND
dame that dolphin is FAST !!!!
My favourite rally car of all time.
It's the ALS, or the Anti Lag System. It stops the Turbo having a delay when the driver takes their foot off the accelerator and then flooring it again, which when you have a 2 liter engine producing this kind of power, is really important.
thanks for this!
I love dolphin sounds
great footage!!!!!
Great video man :)
enjoy the pure engine sound which is so charming
耳が昇天するほどにいい音!
the art of overtake, stamina and sense of speed haven't so much rally drivers as F1 PILOTS...
Like a BOSS!!!
crazy driving skills.
Cool, thanks!
one of the most good looking car even now
Combine this with Eurobeat and boom u got perfect video.
impressive
Love this car xd. I drive also a gt turbo a week now
It sounds like those turbos take a beating lol. Car sounds awesome
Nice!
Dancing blue beauty!
The tires are skinny to allow the cars to slice through the snow easier, the reduced resistance allows you to travel through corners quicker. You sacrifice straight line speed in order to achieve this but often snow and ice stages have very few straights, so generally the teams will go for the thinner tires. Obviously teams have both wider snow tires and skinny ones and the drivers and engineers make the call together after a few test runs of the event.
wow i never noticed that, thx for pointing it out
This Impreza 22b, Lancer Evo 5/6 and Celica St185. Oh boy the memories, and still the sexiest rally cars to me 😍 And always going to be! Rally is only going downward's, hybrid c..p coming, and cars look like a boxes with flips and flaps all around.. No eyecandy insight.
Thats a proper WRC car!
Love this car the sound from that turbo!!!! Straight up squirrel mincer!!!! Better with the manual 6 speed clutchless shift box tho 👍🏼
que coche...y que manos !!
my favourite car
4.37 awesome corner
JUHA THE KING !!!!!!.......
Ah, the good 'ol Scandinavian flick...
the big snail makes a choo choo
How can the go so fast ! Amazing skills !
May the cho cho cho be with you :)
@tbtstt It makes sence and I can see why parts are not as important as times for the Championship. I appreicate all the info you all have shown me. Thankyou and I will take what I have learned and try to expand my info on cars and try to use what I have learned and apply it to applications where it makes sence to do so.
cool!!!
Love the sound of that BOF
rotaxmax3 Correct! The tweeting is because it doesn't have BOVs. Called Turbo Bark.
rotaxmax3 i think you mean compressor stall..
dandantheminiman dear sir ~ kindly advice how to get this sound ~ i have been seeking way to made this sound but just can't do it right
Not a blow-off valve, it's the Prodrive Antilag
rotaxmax3 Nope, it is in fact anti-lag. Look at Higgins' and Pastrana's cars, they chirp. Top Gear even explained the chirping on the Prodrive P-2 was the ALS.
Loving that squirrel mincing sound
Dolphin Subaru :D
OK, I just remember McRae's many bitter comments about Burns but I believe you, they were still racing when that was on.
凄すぎ!めっちゃクールです
spettacolo auto mitica ... ;-)
I have a question. Why are the tires so skinny? I do know that snow tires are special but I didn't know they were little.
Who else other then me wants this as their DAILY DRIVER?! Ohhh... the fun we could have!
@nos97 Thats correct, its air flowing through the turbo the wrong way (i.e. back through the compressor section of the turbo).
Holy fuck these crazy inertia drifts...........
What compounds and treads do drivers use to drift in snow so securely???
The sexiest rally car ever🤘🥰 !
amazing driving skills.car looks like it handles the same be it on pavement, snow, dirt or ice.
4:25 - perfect..!
spettacolare.........
すごい安定感だ
Back when rallying was good to watch. Have no interest these days. Can't even recognize the cars. All the drivers from that era were spectacular. Burns, mcrae, ericson, sainz, gronholm, makkinen, kankuhnen, delecour, Vatinen, rovenpara, solberg, Bourne.
0:23 Holy fuck! Inertia drift on snow?!
@endlosschleife yep I checked it out, seems like they are allowed to have small boost, up to 0,33 bars
@97GSXsilver No worries, glad to help! :)
even to this day Richard Burns's death still saddens me...
Смотрю и радуюсь, в поворотах машина веером, пилот явно кайфует. И сравниваю с нынешним врц, траектории идеальные, скучные, пилот как робот, явно ходит на работу. Эх, время, золотая эра.
What is that stange whistling noise when the car approach a corner?
Flipper is coming!!!
No, those are different. To drive a F1 is about pushing the limits, concentrating and train a lot to do the best lap time.
Drive a Rally car is all about big concentration, reflex, and skills.
@QuertrGTRR Its not a blow off valve. These cars run without a BOV as it would negate the effect of the ALS. The "twittering" noise you hear is air flowing the wrong way through the turbo.
Efsane kasa wrc sti
Ever made a good looking subaru after this
Finland got the best drivers. You can't deny that
So to get into rally do you have to buy a car, build it to specs, and just enter local begginer races? How does that work.
Well I started in a 1969 Mini Cooper with nothing really done to it beyond taking excess weight out. You go to a local meet on a closed road, pay the fee and you get in. It varies from place to place, I've heard in America they have clubs that set up deals with the council to close a road off for the event and you have to be a part of the club to participate. But I only know how things worked in my town which was rather casual as far as I can tell. But to put it simply, Yes. That's how it works
@xtrmbeast No I have not been or driven a rally car but I know enough about turbos to say that the turbo in the car can last when taken care of. I own two turboed vehicals, I race one and daily drive the other. How many turbos have you killed? I haven't had one die on me. I have had compressor surge before and it does not help spool time nor does it add HP a new bov is very much needed. It could also be that one of the lines on the bov that has wiggled its way off the bov.
Free Willy!
4.25 nice flick ;)
@97GSXsilver ..second part of post: ..with internal wastegate. Thou we had it remaped, ralliart, 315hp (like u get with restrictor (group N regulations), it only boosted 1.7 bar, so it wasn't to stressful for it. must go now..l8er
