All of these cars are so iconic. I know group B, the Lancia Stratos and others are amazing. But this is the era of those of us in our 40s who discovered rally through Gran Turismo. Here in the States almost all of these cars were unavailable. Only the Subaru, and it wasn’t turbo until 2002 with the ‘bugeye’ version. Thanks for this. Rally was amazing in this era. Can’t believe the size and enthusiasm of the crowds!
The World Rally Championship needs a major shakeup urgently. Today we have 3 and one is not a proper full manufacturer in M-Sport
McRae (RiP), Burns (RiP), Makkinnen, Auriol, Schwarz, Gardemeister, Sainz, Panizzi, Grönholm, Loix, Liatti (and many more)... all there ! Best times after Gr. B ;)

The real Italian rally! The summer/automn italian’s Monte-Carlo. Legend rally. Sardaigne is a good stage for ERC. Never liked tho much, I prefer Portugal. 20 years of this shit, awful. Give SanRemo back to WRC! Edit: the quality is just incredible!👌 thank you.
NOTES: - We could BUY THE FOLLOWING RALLYE CARS to drive on the streets (same car, basically): - Subaru Impreza WRX STi 22B - Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VII (shame they never built it on the Lancer Coupé they did have) - Citroën Xsara Kit Car - Citroën Saxo VTS - Peugeot 306 S16 What similiar car could we have today?: the Toyota Yaris WRC. That's it. For me, the two-door Impreza WRC and the Xsara Coupé were they prettiest rally cars of all time.
Buffing up a brake rotor with sandpaper because you don't have access to a lathe? I guess I didn't invent that. There's a lot of overlap between what happens in-rally and the things people do to keep a car running tomorrow morning.
