To anyone wondering about that grid for compositions: It is a pattern in which the lines cross at points like the golden ratio or exactly onle third, a third of that third and so on. These points are useful for composing because these distances of focus points (like the lips or eyes) look the most pleasing to the eye. Which is also why you encounter them in all kins of art like still life, sculptures, abstract art and so on.
OMG i love devin elle kurtz, shes (other than you ofc) one of my art idols and really sparked my creative interest, ive always loved her style and the stories she tells in her works, she inspired me to the point where i am today

Those are actually very helpful!! As a self taught artist, I’ve started focusing on the negative side around last year AND IT HAS HELPED ME SO MUCH figuring out the hand anatomy :D
when i was searching my artstyle i kind of didn't really searched it, i simply drew like i loved to draw and with time i just developped a style that i really love and really fit myself. don't stress you out about finding your style, you will find it one day don't worry :)
the hand tip is actually very helpful! It's easier for me to just block out the hands using that tip rather than confusing myself! I use it for a sketch and then I just outline it with my own line art.
Honestly one of the hardest things about trying to grow an audience for me is that when I post something (whether it's on RUclips, Facebook, or Instagram and tiktok) that I'm really proud of and it doesn't get much interaction, I get very discouraged and just lose motivation to post. I am trying, though. I just got my first drawing tablet, so I am hoping that helps me with my motivation to keep posting. You're one of the biggest reasons I keep motivation and have really wanted to get into digital art, so thank you so much ❤

I use a very similar grid to the one shown in that tip for compositions. It can take a bit to get your head around it (since it is a levelled up version of the rule of thirds). But once I did understand it, it massively helped me improve my artwork. I find the guides are so useful towards suggesting various possible composition ideas and also highlighting why my picture might not be working. It is the one art tip I wish I had learnt much earlier.
