I had this done to my 9-5 B235R head. My head was warped due to an idiot letting the engine overheat. My head had to be leveled a little, cost me $350 for the rebuild service. Really cool video, although I would want to see my rebuilt head cleaner overall on the inside. Don't know what the sealant is that's being used, but it doesn't look like the Anaerobic sealant that should be used.
Hi! Our mechanic uses our own sealant. Its name is AJUSIL and its part number is 75000200. You can fin more information about this sealant in our online catalog. web.tecalliance.net/ajusa/en/parts/139/75000200/detail?query=75000200&numberType=0#@brc/search:B%25C3%25BAsqueda%2520por%2520n%25C3%25BAmero%2520aleatorio%252075000200;mandator:ajusa;query:75000200;brands:139;pf:2;page:0/detail:75000200;brandId:139;articleNo:75000200;mandator:ajusa;query:75000200;numberType:0 Best regards
@@AjusaAutomotive I did read the specs here: www.amazon.com/Liquid-Silicone-Sealing-Gasket-75000200/dp/B00IJ9ZZWC The product does not appear to remain in a liquid state when in contact with engine oil as with Anerobic sealant, Loctite 518. I would not use Ajusil 75000200 anywhere near my cylinder head for fear of this product clogging tiny oil passages in my cylinder head.
@@brettkramer Yes, of course. You are right, but as you can see, in this video, we only use AJUSIL 75000200 in some specifical places to seal the rocker cover. Other times, when it is necessary to seal two metal parts, we use our anaerobic sealant AJUSTICK 75000400. +MEOW MEOW It is advisable that you check the repair manual of the vehicle. Anyway, the process of adjusting the timing chain is as shown in the video, only taking into account that before tighten the pinon bolts, the pin of the tensioner should be taken out to give tension on the timing chain. Thank you for your comment and follow our videos on the Ajusa channel.
+MEOW MEOW It is necessary that the threads of the block are in good conditions to avoid problems during the tightening process. For that reason we always recommend threading with the same metric the bolt housings in the block and blow them to eliminate any dirty or oil accumulated.
This gasket set contains 2 kinds of intake manifold gasket because exist 2 kinds of intake manifold for this engine code. Therefore, depending on the intake manifold of your vehicle you have to fit one of them and remove the other. Best regards
La cadena cuenta con un tensor automático. En la imagen estática se observa algo destensada dado que por motivos de edición se utilizó una imagen tomada antes de girar el motor, que es cuando realmente se tensa la cadena. Un saludo
