  • In this video, firstly I am gapping piston rings from an SR20 Det. Next job is a Mercedes 190E Webber conversion. Finally some engine work on a S50 E36 M3.

    Like the tips on fitting the piston rings, never seen that deflection on the oil rings😉

    Found the video on the Total Seal ring grinder very interesting , the way it works you can achieve very accurate gaps letting it spark out to smooth finish on the ring !

    Super interesting, in your opinion are the typical Amazon vice mount style piston ring filers good enough 4the home mechanic if used carefully?

    Hi there, I just found your channel, I am rebuilding a flood damaged Mercedes SLC engine 2019 M274.290 it may need a rebore, do the cylinders have a special coating on them or can they be rebooted, I can’t find anything on the Internet about it. Really appreciate your help if you have any advice on this matter.

      Hi Steve.. sorry I'm not familiar with that engine so wouldn't know. Do you have any more info.. is it a V8? Aluminium block?

    I never knew the carbs had vibration top hat set up on the studs, i will need to fit these to my 40 Dellorto's. do you know best place to buy them from?. Keep up the good work👍

    A factory turbo engine should use factory ring gaps. The piston choice makes no difference to the ring gap.

      Yes I agree with you on factory engines, however this engine is modified
