  • Everyone in the golf world likes to talk about "shallowing" when it comes to the golf swing.
Luckily with deWiz, we're providing you accurate and instant feedback to let you know if you're actually succeeding in shallowing the club through Transition.
But, we've also found some very interesting insights when looking at deWiz data of elite level players... and it relates to the IDDx value.
The Initial Downswing Direction (IDDx) indicates the direction the hands move through Transition along the Toe-Heel line. In looking at the data, there's a very CLEAR correlation between the IDDx and Steepening/Shallowing measurements.
Elite players with a POSITIVE IDDx will offset that with a SHALLOWING move and conversely, players with a NEGATIVE IDDx will have a slight STEEPENING move.
    Do your numbers match?

this movement for me has been a great changer of my ball flight.this is similar to the flexing/bowing of the wrist movement at the top of swing for me.i can feel the wrist movement better than I can the forearm pro/supination.

As an early deWiz adopter this is great info. We need more of this and ideally tips on how to achieve certain desirable numbers.

What a great analysis. Nothing vague here. Has this been done before?
