Dude this was really helpful. The only problem I had was when i was color balancing for yellowish tent. For some reason it wouldn't do anything. But once I changed to a different cracks image it worked.
You can use just about any gravel/rock image and cracked ground. I suggest NOT using the exact pictures I used so you can come up with a unique look ;) But if you want the EXACT images, PM me and I can link you to them.
i usually want the exact picture as the "creater" in the tutorial and then i try myself after (thats just how i learn) sorry if i'm taking your time :S
Only thing you forgot to mention for this "quick" tutorial is the most important thing of all. Namely that you start with a professionally edited scorched earth texture, which in this quality is quite difficult to create from scratch. So without having a texture of that quality to get started, your viewers - including myself - will never be able to get anywhere near the final result you present in this video.
