Had some fun making one ice hand and one in fire! Got some issue with the rock texture as the cloud filter seems not to be available on CS6. Nice job! Thanks

I wonder how people find out how to make stuff like this in photoshop: we need a rock texture so let's create clouds...
Practice, experiment and know the tools.

@@jeremyzimmerli6933 you can use Pexels. That's a plugin in PS. It provide free photos. and the collection is quite good. There you can find things like this & more.

Whenever I try it is always like zoomed in way too much, I followed this tutorial step by step
It's because of your canvas size, which is too small. make a new project with around 5000 pixels of width and height, do the filter again, then paste it into this project, and reduce the size.
This is the first tutorial I watched of yours and won't be the last. THANK YOU for making a tutorial that isn't endless "um" "uh" - you are clear, quick, and to the point. All following can be done with pausing the video and replicating. At last! :D

3:46 i can't create the lighting effect layer, the " Infinite" one :( on my MacBook pro
Thanks for the tutorial! I have a question: when i click "OK" in the part when i make the rock texture in the lighting effect, it crashes Photoshop every time. I have a pretty good PC, so I don't know why it's doing that. Any help is appreciated, thanks!

When, I try to transform the lightinng effects layer after masking it, It turns the rock texture to a black rectangle, can anyone help?

You have to change the height as well, put it to 11. Probably too late but still

Finally, I see someone else using the CameraRAW Filter to do stuff that some peeps are using 50 layers. This guy knows his art.

9:34 you said you clip a layer to only effect the ones below? What does that mean
same, wasn't sure what he did
@@CaptainWulf You do that so it only affects the layer it is clipped to and not the rest that are below it.
this is super late but I've found that you do this by pressing alt/option and clicking between the layer you want to clip and the one below it.

The lighting effect doesn't work because It works on the 3D base which is not supported in the newest versions of Photoshop

Copy the values he has listed for Color Intensity, Colorize Exposure, Gloss, Metallic, Ambience, and most importantly Height to get the proper effect.

I get stuck in the Lighting effect part
Go to the image tab, hover on "mode" and select 8 bits/channel

@@TombolON after you choose lighting effect , spot light will appear, choose infinity light in menu, then texture = Alpha1, you might not see change until u change height that is below that menu.

Awesome step by step! I might be doing something. When I try to paint the cracks red, only the outer portion of the arm selection will paint in the cracks. Almost as if the arm is inverted. Any suggestions?
