- 1/16 4WD Car from ZD Racing with aluminium chassis.
I have come to like this scale a lot because it's easy to carry in a backpack alongside the toolkit to go to a race track.
It's been a long time since I got the request to review this car. Anyway, here it is.

If you rub the rim from inside i mean rub some material from the smaller black rim in the point that rub to the caster maybe it will fit. If you destroy the rim is ok because they cost cheap to buy two new rims as a pair.
please try get your hands on the TQ01 it looks like a good option for 1/16 enjoyers but theres no good reviews on it
Hey Beaver, nice review. I was wondering about making a rwd k969, I have 0 experience on this. Do you recomend It to me or to buy a HGD1 or a XRX DPA. Keep Up your amazing work!
Getting a chassis that is designed to be RWD is better. Modding the K969 has pretty low success rate if you don't have special tools, parts or 3D printer.
XRX DPA is kinda old now. Take a look at DRZ V3, it should be in the same price range. Even DriftArt CC or DriftArt 3S should be around the price as an XRX with upgrades to make it durable.
As for a setup that would cost less than 250-280EUR. If that's for everything included it's gonna be tough. A lot of the budget will go into the transmitter+receiver, gyro and charger. A decent kit will cost about 100EUR (DumboRC X6 + V4 gyro + SkyRC S65 charger).
If it's just the chassis and motor + ESC + servo then it's quite doable with
TG Racing Chassis www.gt55racing.com/products/tg-racing-1-24-1-28-rwd-drift-car-kit-formal-edition-without-electronics-sky-blue
Motor & ESC can be brushed www.aliexpress.com/item/1005001845808566.html www.aliexpress.com/item/1005003137320243.html
Servo AFRC D1802MG www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004499877338.html
Gyro (one of the best you can get) www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005149610320.html
These come in at about 250EUR with shipping.
@@BeaversHobby damn Bro you just helped me a lot. God blessed you
@@ivanparga3825 My pleasure. Best of luck with the project!
@@ivanparga3825this is beavers.
The best youtube content and the best helping center 💙💚💯
on some of your videos i see you drifting on puzzle piece matts where do you get them?
They are EVA mats 50x50cm size that I got from a local home improvement centre.
I think you can find the same if you search for EVA floor mat or gym may. Here's an example. www.amazon.co.uk/ProSource-Interlocking-Protective-Cushioned-Equipment/dp/B07YN1TBVP/ref=sr_1_9?keywords=eva%2Bmat&qid=1694715894&sr=8-9&th=1
Is can be upgrade to rwd drift ?? 🤔🤔🤔
Not worth doing. The shocks are very restricted so it will need a redesign for the whole front to make that happen.
Dang came to ask the same thing lol
@@BeaversHobbywhat do you think would be a cheap 1/16 scale car worth moding to be a budget rwd drift on a small scale but bigger than k989 (1/28)
@@thegaminggemini317 Take a look at WPL D12. It's a small RWD truck with plenty of steering lock and easy to modify. www.banggood.com/custlink/vKm5o94n4V
There's even drift wheels upgrade being sold. www.banggood.com/custlink/KmDPjSeNe9
I think all you need to do is adding a gyro.
It's been my plan to investigate what is the cheapest RWD drift car possible and this might be it.
@@BeaversHobby sweet I'll be waiting for a video
