Yes! Got mine! It came with a longer length 2s battery which I thought was cool. Charging as I type.
Rear wheel camber and front wheel toe in needed a tweak. Haven't checked the diffs yet but they feel loose so I'll give them a grease.

One of my favourite rc cars! The phat bodies mini shell and some 1/10th touring car wheels make this a great little mini stock and the longer chassis version makes an awesome budget friendly Rallycross car with the kamtec saxo body (only body I've found to fit perfectly so far with a bit of extra camber) but looks awesome and scale . Phat bodies also do a baja truck body to fit the 124018 chassis so the possibilities are endless with these great little cars 👍
It's very refreshing to see a cheaper RC get close to the manufacturers quoted top speed! 👍

The LC racing bumpers fit this perfectly and it really helps. I love it and will destroy my Reflex-14b around my tennis court track. I put on the anti roll bars and swapped the stock off road tires and it helps with flipping lol. For the money it’s awesome.

Yes. It's definitely faster with the brushless setup but the most important thing is no cogging issue now. I'm looking forward for the 104002 video bro. 👍

Fella got a ftx tracer on 3s but had too upgrade too all metal drive prop shaft and all metal bearings from a bezgar 6 oil shocks on standard electrics 390 motor its a point shoot car .
On 3S? Definitely would require a car gyro for me to keep it in anything like a straight line!

Still got the brushless one, it’s great fun and very lively, have thought about upgrading it to brushless but it’s been so reliable I’m still holding off. Good to see them developing the cars they make and still relatively budget friendly .

Trigger lag is something that annoys with this unit but replacing the tx rx with dumborc will make it manageable.
If you want to go away 100% then the esc's gotta go too.
Bought my son 1/14 scale wltoys truck. That thing would back flip as soon as you pulled the trigger. Way over sized motor. Had a ton of fun until i decided to run it on our large deck in the snow. Fried the esc.
Its a nice buggy but i already have one, its called the 124017. This is just smaller , less stable, and admittedly better looking. But its just a small 124017. To be fair though, im sure this is a blast to drive. It certainly is cheap. I would maybe get one for my kid.
Love mine I'm not even gonna modify it as I think it's pretty much perfect . Also seems stronger than the old one

I like the fact you deliberately drive it into the curb to show any weak spots... I deliberately can't drive my RC's for toffee to make others around me look like better drivers...

That tyre 🤣 Interestingly I have seen that motor do exactly the same for another reviewer who flipped and cart-wheeled. Hopefully not a new weakness although most things would break something

The tire rip was sick 🔥 This little booga is awesome for the size and price. You have to expect even a much more expensive RC to break hitting head on into a solid wall at 30 - 35mph. I like this one better for bashing but I prefer the longer wheel base fire racing.

Had real bad delay on my throttle, (fixed by changing to a different rx and radio). My servo isn't the best at centering either.
I think the motor problem at the end might be from that “metal” chassis flexing a bit too much. The metal chassis is right up there with their “metal” gears. Better than a sharp stick in the eye, but, ….
Possibly… although the chassis is still straight 👌
On 3s this thing runs 56mph.Awesome Car
I still say the mini erevo is the best bang for you buck rc with incredible replacement/aftermarket parts support
Depends on where u live. From where I’m coming from, LC Racing and WLToys parts availability are better than erevo anytime and most importantly, EMB line ups always smoke erevo on track 😬
Can you post a video with an esc programme card plugged into this car to see if you can tweak the throttle response?

After watching your reviews brought the XK 104009 as just a old beginner. Awesome machine, but want to get the most out of it don't really understand 2s and 3s etc so if you have time sometime can you send me any info on any good long lasting battery products as batteries with it not great 14mins. Weird. Mine is cogging... Not as much as the V1 did, but certainly noticeable.
I didn’t notice any at all? Not even in the grass… just a slight delay on the throttle
Another awesome video and car. Every time I say, "OK that's what I'm going to get to "get into the hobby" you bring something better". Bought my son a cheap 18th scale car for Christmas last year and now I want something a couple steps above what he has...Keep the great reviews coming, especially the budget but good and fast vehicles.
If you like this car, but you want better then get an LC racing.
They are better than WL toys at Everything... apart from being very cheap.
I bought 3 WL toys cars and now 2 LC racing cars. Wish I bought an LC racing truggy first as it's my favorite RC (2nd place is my other LC racing 3rd is my maverick quantum).
I've heard that the lcracing 14 scale axle shafts fit the wltoys(hardened steel), should be alot stronger.
They do. Not all parts fit, but most of them can or after some small adjustment.
Yes, some parts are interchangeable some not… as I found out with the EMB-T

I put the V2 motor mount an pinion in my "carbon" fibre chassis 144001 10bl120 hobbywing ESC 5000kv 2845 rocket motor, it's a ripper.

this has just made me want to get my 124019 back up and running, they are good cheap fun ain't they to be fair to them, and if i'm honest I was expecting there to be more damage than what there was too, how did the the drive shafts hold up? i swear they make them out of lead there that soft

One way to open a motor that's for sure 🤣 but what happened to the chassis parts nothing 👍 great car for the money and fun out the box.

Not going to get this as I have the EAT-14 but it looks pretty awesome. Did you find a fix for the cogging on the EAT-14 Phil. I have a V2 motor on the way I'm going to try and replaced the ESC but wondering if I changed to the 19t pinion would it also help?
The v2 motor is a higher KV. That means you need to swap the mount and the pinion if you want to stop cogging (the problem with v1 was high gearing).
I have set mine up with the original V1 motor and the 19t pinion (v2 pinion and motor mount) and it works great for my garden track. I lose a bit of top speed, but the lower kv motor and 19t pinion makes the car drive smoothly and gives better control.
Get the 19t pinion and motor mount and solve your cogging + have 2 motor options.... if you can get the v1 motor off the mount (blowtorch melt the superglue/locktite)
Only problem is I'm in the us, I brake this thing and it will take FOREVER to get the replacement parts... I like it though... id love to race this thing with my dynamite 2s brushless mini that would be fun....
Hi, I know I am late to the party, but I want to buy one of these. I have a charger and and I'd like to purchase the car and batteries separately. I would like to use all the space I can after moving that tray piece back. First of all I am a fan from the states (your channel rocks!) and I'd be buying on Amazon. I want it fast, reliable, lasts long, and has Dean's plug already on it (no soldering! ) and I don't want to smoke the esc anytime soon. That being said, what are your recommendations? 2s or 3s, brand, capacity ratings? I don't know enough about batteries yet! Thank you!
Did. you find out of the throttle Delay can be fixed? Thinking if this or the brushed Version

Will the 144001 body fit on it? There's something about that color scheme that I love. It's like the rc car from the movie toys that i always wanted as a kid except it's a real life grown up version that you imagined it to be. Or maybe im just crazy 🤪
Yes should do.. it’s the same underneath. Although the ESC sits on top of the brace so not sure if the 144001 body has the same clearance
