I had a different WL Toys car when I first got in to RC and I had a brushless motor upgrade for it. That...thing...FLEW! I couldn't believe how fast it was for the $ and the SIZE that it is. It was actually durable. They are def. worth it.
Beautiful video quality with the blue sky, clouds, and the foliage!..Awesome job on the modifications ,very impressive speeds for such a small car!..It made a big "tumble wumble" though!..lol..I agree with you,it still has a lot of potential left in it..
Hi Phil what a GREAT little buggy. Mental speed DEFINITELY will get it to that magic 100 mph mark. I'm sure of that and look forward to watching you do it SIR 🇬🇧👍🏼
Hahaha I did a similar build in 2021 but I’ve been afraid to drive it. It’s been sitting collecting dust. I think I’ll get a gyro and add a wheelie bar before taking it out this spring. Thanks for the motivation!
This is the first vid I've watched on your channel so I dunno if you've already done this, but this looks like it has enough beans to complete a Hard Drivin-style loop-the-loop. Beast!
Awesome job 😍🤜🏽🤛🏽 Awesome car and awesome brushless combo have it for years drove it also on 3S it's not normal for that size and the sensore cable the timing can be adjusted unbeatable for Sure .... Keep it up👌🏽😄
Its great and inspiring to see that you got those speeds on 2s. That means that we dont all have to go out and buy 8s vehicles to be able to get 80 mph
75 bucks worth of "stuff" off bang good and I was able to get my associated SC-10 hit 83. This hobby has come so far since the days of brushed motors, nicd packs and radios with 5 foot eye poker on top of it🤣 gotta love it
A lil front spoiler would do A lot to attempt too not flip over backwards, some downforce for the front. I’m ordering one of these bad boys now, thanks a lot tomley for forcing my hand too get one 😂
I have the 540 brushed out the box version. Installed all metal chassis and increased tires and driveshafts from 1/18 to 1/10 size with same configuration and size as yours
You got great taste in watches! The Ga2100 series is pretty cool, so many options. I've got the same grey one. And a couple more, lol. Great vid, thanks for the hard work! I haven't given up working and playing with my 124019. Crazy how small and fast that one comes out of the box.
@@TomleyRC I'm an old school sheet metal worker, the copper looking one is cool to me, but ya, the 500 is steep. Last month I turned 50, and my awesome wife, and her amazingly helpful coworker were able to get a moonswatch from the San Francisco store. They didn't want to sell her the watch, it was the last one they had. She gave them the story about it being a surprise for my birthday. And it had to be brought up to us in the PacNW. Long story is over now, lol, and I've got The Mission to Mercury on my wrist!
You should really build a fast car and try and get it to trigger a speed trap camera at night. I can just imagine the police officer who's job is to review the "unidentifiable" photos from those machines going WTF? 😂
Awesome video you might want to make the chassis a little bit wider and put a front splitter you might hit 100 miles an hour to keep it stable and on the ground
Awesome, I have a ECX Circuit that is running pretty close to that on 2s as well with a little help from Castle Creations lmao!!! I think Im going to have to purchase one of those little rigs, as always great vid man!!!
Looks Kool... almost like a cartoon looking ....like that funny little rc airplane thats out.. or those rc cartoon buggy kyosho makes.. Lol!!! Hahaha 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Thats stunning, would love to see what you can do with an appropriate 3s battery, maybe start with the battery you finished with, then go cnhl 2s, then 3s. 100mph ???? I think it could be doable.
This seems like a good platform to experiment with; see if there's an RC weight ballast mod on the market or make one yourself & strap some weight towards the underside of front axle, then put a 3s battery in her, (triple the throttle stick travel if it feels too difficult to get any power down) I bet you could easily get 105+mph out of this RC car on 3s.
Hello babies ripping I had to tame my rlaarlo back down after that baby 98 mph is nuts and that wasn't even all the way what it had and tamer down so I can drive it again lol awesome video man that thing going to stand in backflips is amazing
Hi I haven’t been into R/c cars since I had my original Tamiya Grasshopper back in the day! 🤦♂️ I’m enjoying watching your videos, just wondered if you could recommend a forum, where I can ask any questions I have, about getting back into it, cheers 😊👍
yo turn the vacuum on mount it somewhere where the hose doesnt move and slowly drill out the holes into the motor to match the layout as long as your careful and drill slowly you wont get any metal bits inside the motor ive done this on my 1/18 scale crawler from FMS where every motor seems to have the wrong holes for it lol. i have had no issues. only issues i have ever had are trying to press on a metal spur gear onto the motor seems i keep pusing it into the motor too hard and something inside pops ive tried the vise method and all i think the metal gear im getting isnt the right size so im sticking to plastic gears and just stocking up on them
I did something similar to the my a959B and that wing does a lot for stability mine I tried it without the wings for a while it was terrible but I added the wing back on and it was amazing
Diffgears metall or plastic? Have a old modified revell 1:16 buggy, run 2s and 3s lipo, brushless set up. Its fast as hell, but have to change alot wreckd diffgears (plastic). Put a set of driftwhells on it, drift quite well. Or ducktape on stock rubbertires drifts good as well
What's the punch on the ESC those 10bl120 have a factory setting of 7 out of 9 which is a bit crazy if you ask me. Drop it down to 2-3 and you'll get full throttle earlier for longer if you've never changed it.
Incredible run! Spat my coffee out on the 80mph speed run, Wow wast expecting that.
Haha…it was so crazy! And even more so when I realised I was running 2s still 😅
@@TomleyRC I amazed she was running with that speed using plastic Spur gear
TOMLEY !!!...tu sei matto!!!....ora è un missile !!!.... woww...bel video.. ciao dall'Italia
This makes me think back to my dads RC-18 with the brushless Mamba kit..
3:40 Motor is sitt'n in there nice and tight haha legendary 🤣😂👌

An FPV kit on this badboy would be an experience.
Those whooas in slow-mo for every bounce were epic 😅😅👏
Hit markers 👏
That thing is scary fast for it size! 🤯
Beautiful video quality with the blue sky, clouds, and the foliage!..Awesome job on the modifications ,very impressive speeds for such a small car!..It made a big "tumble wumble" though!..lol..I agree with you,it still has a lot of potential left in it..
Bravo that shaking the car thing was way better that tallbots boom thing 😅
That's incredible. I've never seen anything that fast on 2s. On 3s that thing would be the most wild rc in the world.
It took me by surprise 😁
@@TomleyRC it looked like one of your standing backflip attempts was almost a double lol.
Or undriveable
@@Nordlicht05 probably, but what a blast
Probably the only RC that can standing backflip, reach 70mph and do it all perfectly
WOW! 😯
Fantastic work and ride, Phil! What a little car!!!
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Looks much better! The staggered width tires are probably a big contributor to the stability. Good thinking.
Yes I think so
That is impressive! Mods are part of the RC fun that's for sure!
Yes, I love modding them. And now have the time to do it 😎
Great video as always Phil! Hopefully the prices come down on that little beast as they ramp up production. It looks like an absolute blast.
Hi there Phil, that’s amazing 80mph! Awesome modifications, take care and best wishes 😊😉😁
Insane Phil, need to see that on 3S!!
We do indeed!
Very nice job TomleyRc! Proper little ripper. Very entertaining. Thanks. ☺
Cheers dude
Superb little buggy nice one phil👍🏻
Hi Phil what a GREAT little buggy. Mental speed DEFINITELY will get it to that magic 100 mph mark. I'm sure of that and look forward to watching you do it SIR 🇬🇧👍🏼
100 would be really good 👌
Pretty amazing how you hit that little dirt pile on just about, if not, every run. That cartwheel was definitely a tumble wumble👍
This is the CUTEST BEAST ever.
I f@cking LOVE IT.
That's an awesome build, very cool little speed demon, great job! Cheers
Hahaha I did a similar build in 2021 but I’ve been afraid to drive it. It’s been sitting collecting dust. I think I’ll get a gyro and add a wheelie bar before taking it out this spring. Thanks for the motivation!
nicely done, great budget speedster
Great little speed demon! I'm really enjoying your videos and your view of the RC universe! Keep it up!
Epic video, great job Phil. Wow, wow wow. Ha... john
Well it’s time to add this to my next build, I love that they are making cheap rcs that can compete
The hit markers lol X X X X and that whoaaaa in slow motion 😆
That is insane! And it looks really really cool, great job 👏🏻
Cheers dude
Flippin' heck!!! That's a crazy little thing!! 😳👍🏻
Awesome little ripper‼️👍👍🦾🦾
Good video! 👍
You need to add a wheelie bar.
I think you’ve earned a Bad Obsession Motorsports shirt for this one. That was awesome!
Cheers Dude :)

Deffo WLToys just makes little smile 😁 we need get all wltoys fans out together be funny 😂
That is bloody awesome! How quick!
You keep giving me ideas to make new mad models, I need to get one of these or the BIGGER WLToys
Tom fantastic achiement with this car great job, posting on my FB page.
oh wow that was intense, mad how good it was driving 👍
The wide rear wheels help keep it straight. Similar to the shape of a arrow.
Yes, I guess it has something to do with its shape
That thing sure shifts :D Great video
Cheers Tony
Flip me!! Thats bad ass!! Gonna have to get one I think 🤔
0:01 Thats the sound I make when I wake up in the morning when my back hurts, lol.
...Has "KEV" seen this video. 2s 1/18 scale going 80 mph = EPIC. Seriously you should stretch it and show them this beast @ the next Rossa speed run!😆
Good idea well executed!
That tire flex is insane!
WLToys back on target, Seems to be a deserved 144001 type buzz surrounding this one.But I wish they would stop using superglue.
Yes, it’s certainly their best for a while. But they really really need to sort the loctite out!
Yea i hate working on wltoys because of that
I like the set up and speed it hits
