I love the side of the box "Remote Conteol"... Whatever that is... 🤣.. Don't think it's worth the extra money but love the lights and upgraded drive shafts and cups. Hoping they are released as spares and we can just upgrade the original 144001.

I used the wheels and tires from my 144001 on my Tamiya tt02 for a rally mustang build. They make for a really fun time ripping a touring car through the dirt like that

The first 144001 couldn't handle rollovers like this 08:14. Now as i see from the video seems that it can handle it better. Also i like the lights in the rc cars in any shape and colour.
According to the box, it’s Remote Conteol. That is the best kind of conteol ! 0:25

LOL, you got some more extras with your WLtoys, I only got an instruction manual, wheel wrench and a charger with my 124008 V.8. not even three extra body clips!
A wierd request... But when you do reviews if you could show us the speed with the throttle trim all the way down... That would help with those of us getting these cars for younger kids. I saw you did it briefly to demonstrate... but not on the actual test drive...Thanks and great videos!

Phil, we need another beach with a paddle tires video! The Rlaarlo 1/12 Desert buggy would be a great candidate for the small paddle tires you used in the last beach video! It was one of my favorite running videos! It's been a long time since that video!

45mph is what I get outta my brushless 124018 with bigger wheel tire combo on 3s. So this is dang impressive.

Diffs and shafts are out the 124008 so it's an easy upgrade for your old 001 010 019 .....

You're right, about the cost more, I paid like $70 CDN for my 144001 and that's like $50 USD. I got it when I got the coof cuz my hand eye co-ordination was fubar.

Lights are awesome for running at night..not only can you see it everyone else does also..
Phat Bodies makes some pretty solid replacement wings, run one on my 124017 and its a lot more durable than stock.

I too like the LEDs Phil, and the bigger cvd”s as well. I like pretty much everything about this except the price. Wish they would change the body shell mold a little bit, and get rid of that delicate rear spoiler in favor of a more durable plastic one. Other than that I do like this. What’s sad is the bigger new 1/12 buggy costs less than this and has pretty much the same stuff minus the lights. As always, Great review dude! Can’t wait to see you in “a Christmas Story” for the 100th time this year! Always looking forward to it!🎉🎄🎅🏼😝☕️

Yeah.. they could easily improve this, and also keep the cost low. The plastic spoiler from the Desert buggy fits with a bit of work.. so the could make one like that.

It looks really close to the LC racing EMB-1H. I think if you bought the wing from one of them and popped it on you'd love the results. It's a hard plastic wing.

Good review .I like the older controller better as well . I got some parts direct from WLtoys not long ago , very affordable and easy to deal with .

Ill check back when its brushless :) I pulled the receiver out of them and use my nicer gyro receivers. these get fast enough to break if you hit anything lol

7:05 I know right? even on the speed runs they are very stable even though they're stubby little things. When my neighbour's daughter's bf came around I'd let him take to the dirt down the street and he never flipped it. When they broke up I kinda missed him coming around to talk and play with my toys.
Maybe she broke up with him because he started playing with RC Toys to much 🤷🏼♂️🙃

Not for me, at this price I can get a MJX Hyper Go 16207 3S brushless "fully loaded', and presently a 124008 brushless also at the same price as this.
The 1/16 revo wing is perfect on the 14401.
Jeez, they misspell “control” on the box, you take the body off and find multiple broken wires right out of the box 😮 I think I’ll just stick with my plan to get the new Arrma Grom 😂 Still a great video Phil, I love your channel brother!
To be fair,he did say he pulled em off,rather than them being broken straight out the box
@@davidmellish3295 that’s fair. But still, he barely even touched them. If wires are gonna just pull off that easily when you touch them, how quality of a vehicle can it really be?

I was just pointing out that it was Phil who pulled them out rather than coming broken in the box. Also he must have used a bit of force as he never said how bad it was,how he hardly touched them yet they came off. I would have thought he'd of made a point of letting us know if they just came off. The fact he said ,he did it, makes me give wltoys the benefit of the doubt
The wires came out when I pulled the body off… easy to do. MJX HyperGo is a better deal than the Grom I think

Man, I just wish my introduction to Wltoys wasn't completely pooped on. I bought a A959-B and was thoroughly disappointed when I had run it for 2 minutes and the esc took an absolute dookie
Yeah same the esc is the same as the a959a so it's a 1/16 scale ESC powering a 1/10 scale motor so it gets too hot and burns up
What 3s battery do you use??? Would it work with the Eachine eat14 as they are similar??

Another channel had a comment how these type of RC’s in general being small with a lot of power are bouncy & flip over easy so they don’t recommend but I disagree I have a few & they are super fun evertime I take them out & if they are not that expensive not a big deal if they get broken.

hey tomley , alex kowaliuk here from america in the state of ga ,,anyway you know im a regular and i do love these cheap rc videos because some of them are pretty good but the average person cant afford to try them all so this is actually good info but your out of the box thinking is what keeps me comeing back ,, are we gonna get a hilux video or maybe even tesla yes i know theres a bunch of those what about an new rc technology like the sideways driving rc.... anyways cheers .....😀😜

does fitting lights,and 2 driveshafts equate to "new"? my 144001's cost about 60 tops, this is almost 100 ,at that price there are a lot of better alternatives around imo.

....so it gained extra 4mph from the original with 2200mah and heatsink on not bad but phill STOP ...START ...had me 😂😂
