In today's video, I take part in a live tv discussion about my new book and veganism in general on GB News. I talk about the perception of vegans, defend against the accusation that we are authoritarian and make the case that animal farming is inherently cruel and immoral.

A lot of people are good and don't want to harm animals. They just get normalised by eating meat and come up with silly arguements like it is part of life. So they never question their choices. Our goal is to question them. But if we start fighting, they will get irritated that we are attacking their 'personal' choice. This will lead to them being against veganism and then our message will be ineffective.

The now-cancerous cell with broken mitochondria requires something like 400x more glucose to produce energy than the original oxygen method pathway, and it can no longer regulate its growth so it grows out of control. Unregulated cell control is essentially the definition of cancer.
From all this, you could guess that one way of slowing down or starving cancer cells growth would be to reduce your carb intake, because that will create excess glucose fuel for the cancer cells. This is known as metabolic cancer treatment, you change the foods you eat to starve the cancer cells - there are a growing number of clinics that specialise in this.

When the interviewer said "so, for you, an animal life is as valuable as a human life" my brain went "of course, neither deserves to die". and I know that most people would then assume I'm ridiculous for thinking we're of equal value to a chicken (for the record, I hate placing a "value" on life in the first place, there's no need to rank different species by order of importance, just don't eat any of them, why does it matter which life has more "value"?) whereas you replied so quickly and calmly with "not necessarily, but an animal's life is worthy enough to not be reduced to a meal". You can tell you've put a lot of time and effort into knowing the right thing to say to not provoke people but to also, more importantly, convey the reality of the pointlessness of carnism in a calm, reasonable manner.
