Really stupid question, I had a panic during a set last night and struggled to work out how to bring the Compressor UI onto the screen - how do I do this? Never felt more like an idiot in my life because it's so simple on other digital desks, and I'm sure it is on this one too.
I hate the metering on the Allen & Heath consoles. We have the QU console, but it's the same compression metering. Why not put some numbers arount it. We use the mixing station app to connect wirelessly to the mixer. That app does have a correct reading of the amount of compression.
I have an SQ7 at my church and don't know what compression is or does or when I would want to use it so this is over my head. Is any of that covered in your course? I'm pretty much a rookie even though I'm "the sound guy" (small church)
