Tip when adjustning your sends to fx engine you can press and hold the reset button the left side of the console while giving the channel fader a little nudge upwards and the fader will automaticly set to 0.0db :)
Hi, thank you so much for all the videos. Could you please make a video about the possible use and setting of other effects for SQ: Tube Stage Preamp, Opto Compressor, MultiBD Multiband Compressor, DynEQ4 Dynamic EQ ... ?
Great content! Really appreciate you going through this. I’m the FOH engineer for a mobile church and this is particularly helpful to see when I only get access to my SQ5 for 8 hours on a Sunday. Was wondering for future be videos.. is there a way you can zoom in on your overhead shots so the specifics of your adjustments can be seen better?
Thank you Patrick! Not being able to access your board all the time can make it challenging to get practice in on it, so I hear ya! I definitely can try doing that for future videos! 😎
I could, but it might not work the same with a different song at a different tempo, a room with different acoustics, or drums that have a different amount of sustain or reverberation captured in the mics
If I have a multitrack SQ Drive USB recording (on a USB SSD), can I practice FX mixing from those channels, too? That might make it easier for me to get a better broadcast mix configured before we go live, since "tech rehearsal" doesn't seem to be a thing in our world.
Brother! I have a request for a video. James I know you must have other things in your plate and plans to execute but one huge thing I could really use right now is how to take a microphone that’s in any input and then duplicate that Chanel into another line so I can send one to an in ear monitor and the other to the house and livestream mix.
Hi, if we are speaking about the same mixer. Go to gain settings, and choose the same input that you needed. If it’s other mixer, usually there is routing settings when you can assign same signal to multiple channels

The ADT doubler is also a lot of fun on Vocals. Run them through a group and insert fx 5,6,7 or 8 on it
Please teach on how to set up plug ins on a SQ5 console from a laptop
Thanks for the explanation.
Any chance you could break it down a bit further?
Thanks
Also any videos with the QSC Touchmix 30 would be superb
That's a great idea!

And dont forget to eq the effects accordingly aswell.
