@@AttawayAudio How do you record and post-edit the recordings in real-time? What software do you use?

Great info here but it all depends on your speaker system and how the room is eq’d ect. There’s many factors to deal with so use your ears and remember that nobody hears everything the same way so it makes it that much more difficult to please everyone. Happy mixing folks!

Agreed, but a great starting point to help volunteers who use an SQ5… which we have at our church. 😊

Thank you. We love our SQ5. But hoping to move up to the Avantis in the next few years.

Nice video! Please keep making videos of live plugins with the Liveprofessor, I have seen that many people have been interested in this. In my situation, I don't know how to play audio through my SQ-7 and have the signal reflected in the Liveprofessor.

Appreciate these videos. Did your church move to the SQ from your PreSonus? We recently bought both an SQ 5 and 6 for two different spaces in our church and I've found them to be really easy to adjust to so far.

My church didn't change consoles - the StudioLive is my personal one, and the SQ is at a friend's church. I'm planning on borrowing a bunch more consoles to demo and make more content like this.

I already watched some videos of yours related to Liveprofessor, and I still don't understand very well how to make it work, I would be very grateful to you if you could help me.

Point of clarity: Can you solo a vocal during a live band performance so only you can hear it in your cans without affecting the live sound going to the amps and speakers? 🙏♥️🇬🇧

Yes, PAFL/PFL/Solo button should send it to headphones and put its meters on display on the console

What’s your best advice for a male, high thin voice? (Steve Perry-like range, but not the warmth)

Use the proximity effect to your advantage. When they go high, roll that low shelf back up to flat.

@@AttawayAudio gotcha that's what we use at our church my wife is the praise and worship leader she sounds like she has too much treble and her voice is there a video that you have that shows how to fix it?

Hi! Is this for a live stream setup? I'm still an amateur when it comes to live mixing, but I find the low-shelf cut on the low mids a bit too aggressive for my taste. It seems to be cutting into the fundamental frequencies of the vocals. Is this your standard procedure for every system, or did you do this with the subwoofer in mind? Apologies as we dont have subs in our church😂.

The vocal EQ cuts on the low end are for combating the proximity effect that happens when you bring a directional microphone close to the sound source. It's beneficial for vocals especially because to make it sound natural, you turn down the low frequencies that are bleeding into the back of the microphone and especially difficult to filter out otherwise. It doesn't depend on whether or not you have subs.
