Loki probably is way more attached to his mother than thor or even oden ! Not seeing her was his punishment for murdering all those people so he must have really loved her ! While thor was the heir busy being taught to be a warrior loki was probably in her chambers learning magic and illusions despite him not being her son she taught him all she knew ! It's sad we didn't see more of her, she was a witch so she must have been much more than just the mother of thor
After this movie the MCU really hits its stride. I mean they take a major jump in style, story telling, character development, and emotionally investing you into their characters. The best is yet to come.
The Collector is not evil, per se, though he is often encountered as an antagonist. He literally collects extremely rare things, (though sometimes he might take part in making them extremely rare). A lot of the things you see in the background are either unique things/beings, or the last of their kind. Maybe the best way to think of him as a primordial god devoted to one single thing (his collection), who is sort of above (or below) good or evil, much like his "brother" who you meet in Thor 3. Both are simply so old, that they exist beyond any concept of right or wrong, sort of. The reason they gave him one (and only one) of the "infinity stones" is because they knew he would defend it perhaps better than any other being in existence, but had no intention of ever giving him another, much less five more. They will be explained very shortly.
Movie Fact: The actress playing Jane in the end credits kissing season was NOT Natalie Portman but Chris Hemsworth's wife, Elsa Pataky, in a Jane wig. Natalie's schedule prevented her from filming that scene so Chris told the director that his wife is about the same size and is available, so they put a Jane Foster wig on her and husband and wife filmed the scene.
In Norse Mythology, Frigga has the gift of clairvoyance. Meaning she can see the future. If the same can be said about this version, that means she knew what would happen to her. She went to see Loki at the dungeon one last time, gave Thor one final advice and told Odin one last to take care of himself because she knew her fate.
you kind of see her showing that ability when thor goes back in time in endgame- she stops thor before he tells her because she already knows, she says some other things about the future too during that convo
Well done! Really nice to see someone appreciate this film. I’m so excited for you moving forward because things are about to get REALLY good in the MCU!. Can’t wait to watch..
I am so hyped for your reaction for thor 3 when the time comes, but the most thing i can't wait for is avengers 2,3 and 4 Edit: and captain America Civil war
The Collector is not really a bad guy - but he's not a good guy either. He is trustworthy - you can trust that he really is only interested in his collection. He's not trying to rule the universe or destroy anything or hurt anyone. Of course, he's not above lying, cheating, stealing, and maybe even murdering for the sake of his collection.
Christopher Eccleston who played malekith in this movie has actually played The Ninth Doctor in Doctor Who when the series was revived in 2005. You should check the show out.
Continuing Night#2 of binging your MCU reactions, this is honestly my favorite Thor film. Having lost my mom at 15 this movie and Thor's and Loki's characters really resonated with me, the way each of them reacted to their mother's death was all too familiar. Even Odin's reaction to Frigga's death was similar to how my dad reactor, and he didn't know what to do or how to deal with me. Loki in his cell keeping a facade that everything is well only for him to finally show Thor that he's destroyed all the furniture, yuppp, felt that. "Trust my rage"... I wished I could be angry, I mean I was, but I couldn't blame anyone since it was cancer.
"Playa. But then he asks who Richard is." I don't know, I feel that standing still on the train and doing nothing while a woman quite literally throws herself at you is not as bad as actively pursuing another relationship and choosing to go on a date with someone else. Just me?
@@LincolnDWard ikr? I actually got friend zoned by a guy after just one date. He couldn't understand why everyone in my life kept seeing that as such a bad thing. He's like, "but making new friends is a good thing!" LOL
Hey there! Love your reactions and perspective. This is one of my favourite Loki movies 🎬 ;) If you're at all interested in Fantasy shows I'd strongly recommend reacting to The Wheel of Time show on Prime. It's on Ep5 and releasing weekly - could be worth a try.
Fun fact: the scene where Selvig (the scientist guy) is running around naked and being apprehended by British police wasn't actually in the script - it was just the actor, Stellan Skarsgård, having a bit of an episode after a wild night of drinking. Those Swedes man, you can't take them anywhere! Luckily (?) some bystanders filmed it with their phones, and the footage was worked into the movie.

I felt the same way as you about Iron Man 3. It's the only Marvel movie where I found myself often looking at the play timer. I felt that way about Iron Man 2 to a lesser extent but 3 was rough. I know others like it or love it so it's just personal opinion.
''You know, it'd be nice if for once Thor and his people sent down the God of cleaning up after yourself. They probably have a magic broom for this kind of thing.''
Hey Trixie looking beautiful, cool ears..i also loved Iron Man 1 and Iron Man 2 really grew on me but i wasnt a big fan of the third one either, especially the villians, wasnt a fan...Thor 3 is definitely the best Thor movie!
Once you get through Iron Man 3 and this one, the MCU gets really really good. I remember I was kind of like "ehh" about the first Captain America but the next two are two of the very best of all the Marvel movies, even better than some of the Avengers movies IMO
I love this movie. It gets so much shade, but it's awesome. You do realize you just said a norse god needs Jesus... :p They want someone who will want to collect infinity stones to have one, for two reasons. First, because they're sure they can take it from him if they want - what's the Bifrost for - and second because if he's trying to get a full set he's competing with Thanos.
funnily enough this is everyone's least favorite marvel movie. What I like about Iron man 3 is that they should the mental health aspect to the whole hero cliche. But the Mandarin reveal was a bit of a let down.
He was never suppose to be the real Mandarin lol he was an actor hired to play someone believed to be just a myth but we will find out later that he is not a myth. It points to current plots
This was during a time in which the MCU was struggling. Iron Man 3, and Thor: The Dark World were rather weak. Avengers Age of Ultron, and Guardians of the Galaxy carried this phase in my opinion.
Iron Man 3 was supposed to be a different movie. Marvel changed it up and the director quit. That was the director of Iron Man 1 and 2, so Iron Man 3 had a different director and a different way in which the story was developed. I did not enjoy the new style of Iron Man 3 either.

Who do you think taught him that? 😉
I liked how we see Frigga using magic like Loki. Now we know where he learned it.
The musical cue for the funeral scene is incredible.

"kill him I'll kill you"-everyone
"evidently there will be a line"-Loki😂😂 great reaction Blue
My view of Loki is basically that as the trickster god all of this plans involve betrayal. He just doesn't always betray the good guys.
Phase 1: Iron Man - Avengers
Phase 2: Iron Man 3 - AntMan
Phase 3: Civil War - Far From Home
Phase 4: WandaVision - Present

One thing Marvel movies have taught me is: Aliens aren`t very concerned with parking their ships neatly.
3:58 lol, Blue litterally predicting the plot of the movie here "let the grandchildren deal with it!"
That's not Natalie Portman kissing Chris Hemsworth in the end credit scene. That's his real life wife in a wig.
Jane going around slapping people at the start of conversations was pretty eye roll inducing, IMO.
Yes! Overall, this movie had a lot of great moments and aspects, but then it had some that were just cringe, Jane slapping Thor being one of them.
Eh, Thor maybe didn't deserve it. Maybe. Loki definitely did. Also helps that, you know, he's Asgardian. She can't really hurt him.
@@ianburns1167 Why it’s eye roll inducing has nothing to do with her being unable to “really hurt him.”
