The name Steppenwolf comes from the 1927 novel of the same name by German-Swiss author Hermann Hesse: The term "Steppenwolf" is German for "wolf of the steppes". In the novel, the main character, Harry Haller, calls himself a Steppenwolf because he feels like a lonely wolf who is part man and part beast. The novel is about a man who feels alienated from modern civilization and is going through an existential crisis.
Darkseid is Steppenwolf's nephew not father. He gained more power & that's why he's more feared. The guy who stuck the ax in Darkseids shoulder is Ares, a Wonder Woman villain/Wonder Woman's brother. Ezra Miller's version of The Flash is a bit grating. Barry Allen isn't a socially awkward character. He's more straightforward. They seemed to have taken the Wally West version from the animated series & put it on this version. If you want a more accurate Barry Allen watch both TV shows (1990 & 2014). Cyborg in the comics has a very strained relationship with his Father because he was a workaholic and when he made him into a Cyborg he took away his human nature, like his ability to feel physically. He can still feel emotionally but since most of his body is a machine he can never be with anyone physically. Ryan Choi (the scientist working with Cyborgs father) is The Atom, a scientist who can grow to a smaller size (yea just like Ant Man, but like Darkseid to Thanos, DC came first)
The joke it's not that WW doesn't know how to make tea, but that Alfred is an English butler. He is the expert on how to make a good tea. So he is guiding her.
Of all the RUclips reactors I've watched, I dare say you are the only one who is ever been so kind to villains like Steppenwolf who he only chases for redemption. Anyone can do everything they can to belong to family once more, the funny, the evil, the mysterious, the honorable, all family. Who are we without family to go back to?
The 2017 version is directed by Joss Whedon, while using a few of the scenes you saw here in the Snyder Cut. Critics destroyed the theatrical cut of BvS while WB took no blame from cutting those 30 minutes. During this time, Snyder’s daughter committed su1c1de. Although he had already shot 95% of JL, with personal life issues and a lot of pressure from WB, Snyder was replaced by Whedon, who did what WB wanted, try to turn Snyder’s JL into the avengers. Almost everyone hates the JL2017 cut, marvel fans, dc fans, general audience didn’t care about it. After a fan movement was started and became large enough, during the pandemic WB listened for a brief moment and allowed Snyder to come back and finish his JL cut, thus ZSJL was finally released… PS. It’s a square because it was shot in that format for IMAX presentations.
@@chelotobar5258 Snyder actually shot all the footage he had to film, this is why Henry Cavill was allowed to go grow his facial hair for Mission Impossible. There wasn't going to be any reshoots as the only thing he had left to do was the transformation scene for Martian Manhunter (Harry Lennox already shot his scene). What was newly shot here was the last 10 minutes which were more wish fulfillment like having Batman & Joker talking. Honestly there could've been around 40 minutes cut if it was made theatrically. Mainly slo mo shots, the extended moments like the women singing for Arthur & minor tightening moments.
It was only shown in a limited theater once but in 2022. The film released in 2017 was a reshot mess with Joss Whedon taking a film with a 5 hour Assembly cut, cutting it down to maybe an hour of footage & shooting another hour of his own footage & it being 2 hours long because WB demanded a 2 hour mandate for more theater showings. This version is Snyder's original vision, with maybe 10 minutes of new footage shot in 2021. It would've likely had a half hour to hour taken out if it was the version put out but since it was going on HBO Max it allowed him to release it longer.
So happy you did this film I only seen it twice because how long it is, but it is really a great piece.Hope you doing better in your life a bit more stress-free and being more yourself.
When it comes to the different versions, a video you might love to watch ( not for reaction ) is the video Corridor Crew did about it, where they compare the versions and also explain a lot of the differences. ruclips.net/video/2sqOBaw5CQM/видео.html
The Flash doesn't stop time. Also having his powers isn't as cool as you think it would be. The mind has to be able to process at that crazy speed to maintain control, if a random person like you had his super speed, you would run right into a wall and flatten yourself into paste. When you dig into the Flash's character he explains that it's a real depressing power to have.
I think it's meant to be square, in fact I've heard it's even hip in some circles 😢 and he'll yeah about unrealistic standard's. I can't swim anywhere near that fast and I have long hair, beard and tattoo (obs 1isnt enough)
I don't even consider the Avengers as a separate thing. The MCU is a huge TV show but in movie theaters with 5 of the episodes having the Avengers, the last two being like a two-parter season finale. 😂😂
Zack Snyder intended the movie to be in Square Format because Superheroes that fly get contained easier in the frame. It also forces verticality because of the framing.
Yet another movie I've yet to watch but will be checking out now sooner because of you, Blue! 😊💙💎 I'll update this comment with my thoughts when I'm done watching it along with you! 💙💙💙
The original Director is back and it's Zack Snyder _ He's mad that they messed up his movie because he had to deal with family stuff _ This is the way the movie was supposed to be in the first place
The DC world is huge and the Amazons are dedicated to defending the island cause they were created to live their and protect it they don't care about the rest of the world except for WOnder woman cause she actually left and is curious about the world. You can find out more about Green lantern and some of the other heroes in the cartoons mainly Justice League animated series and Young Justice shows
16:31; 'This is what they mean what they mean when they say unrealistic standards.' You are not wrong Blue, Hollywood and TV, casts so many hot people they've almost convinced us convinced this is what normal people look like. You have characters who are supposed to be your average everyday joe but they look like super models, or just your average high schooler, except they're played by an adult with no acne or braces who is also a super model! You will never find a guy in real life who looks like Aquaman, or Wonder Woman because people like this are extremely rare. Far more rare than Hollywood would have us believe
Great reaction. I like this movie. I noticed you are less than 18,000 away from reaching 100,000 subscribers. It will be awesome to see you get to that.
Even though I’m not the biggest fan of Snyder’s take on these characters, I actually enjoyed this film. It might not be my ideal version of someone like Superman, but it’s definitely unique if you see it as Snyder's interpretation of the characters and the whole DC universe. Man of Steel wasn’t originally meant to kick off a whole universe; Snyder had plans for it as a trilogy, with some ideas linking it to the Dark Knight Trilogy, which makes sense since Nolan was connected to Man of Steel. So, every film that came out after Man of Steel was shaped by this darker, grittier take on the DC universe, better or for worse depending on who you ask. That’s where I think the problems lie. Applying the same tone and style across all these characters. In the comics, the Justice League members really contrast with each other, but in the films, they don’t stand out as much when put together, stand out both visually and personality wise in scenes when there the main focus. It can be tough to work with so many primary colors on screen at once. Marvel handled this well in Endgame, where the final battle took place at sunrise, showcasing the rich colors of each superhero with a warm tone to them under the sun. Snyder went for a direction where the characters blend together more on screen, black suit for Superman really adds to that effect. So there's not alot of visual contrast when it comes to their colors, though I love how each in this film has it's own look, highlight amazingly with differant colors. I’m really glad we got to see Snyder’s take on these characters even if there not my thing, but I’m super excited for James Gunn’s Superman! It sounds like he’s going for a more fantastical take in the DC universe, and I hope he embraces a timeless comic book art style. I’d love to see Metropolis as an art deco, retro-futuristic city instead of the generic look we’ve had before. Plus, a Gotham with blimps flying overhead and that awesome 1940s Gothic feel would be amazing! And let’s bring back characters like Robin instead of killing him off. Such a shame we never got Robin in these movies, even a flashback would've been great. At the same time, I hope Snyder gets the chance to work with Gunn on a DC project. Just because DC is rebooting with Superman (2025) doesn’t mean we won’t see these versions of the characters again. An animated series would be cool, especially since Gunn’s first DCU project is the animated Creature Commandos which is technology the reboot moving forward but Superman (2025) is the BIG first project. Iron Man (2008) of the new DCU.
Also it's funny how the deliberately bland MCU that has every movie repeating the same formula over and over again is somehow different and unique to you 😂😂 MCU is like a TV show in movie theaters, it hardly has any cinematic quality. Most of the characters are butchered watered down versions of their comic book counterparts. But nobody bats an eye 'cause they gotta target DC.
The Snyder Cut is a great movie. I found it to be a lot better than the reshot edition of Justice League that Joss Whedon did. Also, since finding out how Joss acted on the set towards Gal Gadot and Ray Fisher it angered me since I liked Joss's take on the Avengers and Age of Ultron, and Joss is no longer one of my favorite directors. Zack Snyder is a great director, though I think he shouldn't be the writer for his productions. He has a strange writing style that I saw in Army of the Dead and Rebel Moon which I found marred the productions.
You are right except Snyder is a great writer. He also co-wrote this movie and Wonder Woman. Army of the Dead and the Rebel Moon movies may not have been the absolute best and have lackings, but that in no way means Snyder isn't a good writer. It's just that he needs to collab with others when writing. He makes storyboards for all his movies.
It was meant to be seen in IMAX. This is the best decision since a lot of movies cut off the top and bottom of their movies to fill the 16:9 screens but here in a 4:3 you are getting pretty much the full frame!
The Snyder cut is a much better film than the Whedon original film but I believe this was what Snyder wanted to make but have to leave the project because of the death of his daughter so Whedon stepped in and messed it up royally so Snyder went back to WB/DC and asked to make his version of the film. To me the other version doesn’t exist anymore
It's not a long movie. It's common to binge watch shows for 6 to 8 hours

The way I internally screamed when Bruce and Diana reacted to accidentally touching hands 😭💕
Definite JL animated series vibes.
I got flashbacks to the JL cartoon again ugh that show was so good
The 2021 Justice League is a lot better than the 2017 version🔥💯

19:03 🤩I wish a symbol like this that reflects my personality. The transformation kind of symbol.
Trixy: (To Aquaman) Take your trousers off!
Aquaman: You're the one who has OF, you take your pants off!
What is OF?
She is very hot though.
Don't worry the 4hrs will go by in a flash and you will want more in the end and join the campaign of restore the Zack Sydner justice league.

How the f you commented this 5 months ago??

I havent heard anyone saying that the underwater scenes "needed work" before. I can't hink of any other film that is better.
Her glasses went blur
10:58 lol he technically does and Darkseid is basically him.
Your audio is really bad for this movie

I'm a Snyder fan since Watchmen & 300, but this f***g 4:3 formation was the worst decision, Zack had ever made :(
So you prefer seeing half of the picture and not the whole?
