the fact you weren't spoiled by the hulk reveal in the trailers makes this reaction even better :)
Or the movie poster, which also showed the Hulk.
Loki is an opportunist and the literal definition of the "he can be your angle or your devil" meme. If it benefits him to be a good guy, he'll do it. once hes no longer needed, he'll steal your stuff and peace out.
also, i love loki's superior attitude. when hes too busy making broad gestures and screaming his awesomeness into the sky, hes not actively blowing stuff up and causing trouble. safe loki is a happy loki.
"I have very conflicted feelings about Loki!" We all do, Blue. We all do.
I do believe he has the best arc in this movie, having come around slightly to enjoy being a hero, like he finally understands why Thor does what he does. And of course, he gets to help destroy Asgard.
Also, there is a lot going on with Loki's human appearance (remember he's a Jotun) and Hela's, as we see he can read memories and likely crafted his appearance after Odin's memory of Hela.
My favorite of the Thor movies. Same lady did not play The Ancient One, but she did play Galadriel in Lord of the Rings along with Karl Urban who was Skurge in this movie and Eomer in LOTR. It's kinda funny though. When you throw Hela into the mix, it makes you wonder if Thor was really the adopted one lol. Still can't get over the awesomeness that is the Duran Duran shirt Banner is wearing.
Which is almost certainly Tony's shirt, left in the Quinjet at some point. Tony loves his oddball t-shirts.
The actress is Cate Blanchett
There is no suspense or any consequence, but at least this on is funny!
@@svenpoletka5236 What consequence aside from Asgard is gone, Odin is dead, Thor lost an eye and Mjöllnir is destroyed would you have hoped for from this movies?
@@Azaghal1988You know they will retcon that crap, but at least Taika makes it funny!
A very underappreciated joke, when Loki shows up on Asgard with the mercs, Heimdall says "I saw you coming", and Loki replies "Of course you did". That's because Heimdall's "superpower", for lack of a better word, is his dramatically enhanced perception. He sees almost all that happens in the Nine Realms, can hear a butterfly flap its wings on Earth while standing on Asgard. That's how he was able to talk with Thor from a different planet.
There's another hint earlier in the movie when the refugee Asgardians run into him in the woods; he's not at all surprised to see them, because he saw them depart for the wilds, and set out specifically to meet them and guide them to the cave. Nor is he surprised that they're being chased, because he saw that too.
'how do Aagaard have guns?' remember he said he picked them up on Midgard (Earth) in a place called Tex Ass.
The Collector is actually the Grandmaster's brother
"I can't figure out Loki"
I don't think Loki can figure out Loki. I think he's almost always in conflict, and doesn't know his place or his path himself. He set himself down one path and still tries to stick to it. Experiences change him, but he tries not to change. I think his big scheme failing early on, and his huge ego, makes him not want to accept that defeat, so he still wants to achieve his grand domination plans, just to prove he can, disprove his defeat, even IF he should learn not to anymore. Refusing to change to prove he was right/can't accept being wrong or failing. I do think his reasons for the helping in the final battle were for the right reasons and not just for aggrandization, but as Loki the ego's still going along with it too.
He and Thor are essentially children for their age. Even the Eternals are 7 thousand years old, and the Thor is 1500 thousand years old.
Also, you're not the only one who has a thing for Loki, I remember when the 1st Avenger movie had come out every girl had the hots for Loki ;) And yes, he is the God of Mischief. Can't wait till you get to the Loki series, it explains really good about his personality and it has a really great character development =)
You gotta check out some of Taika Waititi's other movies, like "What we do in the Shadows" (2014) and "Jojo Rabbit" (2019). :)
Fun fact. The theatre play at the beginning was Matt Damon as Loki and Liam Hemsworth as Thor, Matt Damon is really close friends with Chris Hemsworth, another fun Fact Liam Hemsworth auditioned for Thor but didn’t get it and Chris Hemsworth auditioned for Captain America before getting the Thor role.
I think that was Liam and Chris's brother, Luke.
@@jeffthompson9622 not as Loki that was Matt Damon Thor was Liam Luke could've been the other guy.
@@starlord3496 That's correct. It was Luke Hemsworth who portrayed Thor in the stage play.
Another fun fact: Loki actor auditioned for Thor but cast as Loki.
Definitely the best Thor movie , easily in the top 5 of the MCU.
ye and it was a huge breakthrough in thor's character development, so he became much more likable from this point
In my top 10 for sure. My top 5 MCU film has to be:
1. Captain America Winter Soldier
2. EndGame
3. Infinity War
4. Civil War
5. Shang Chi
@@basicsimp8798 after watching newest spider man, it easily beats every other MCU movie, hands down, and after that it would be guardians 2 > ragnarock > guardians 1 > infinity war > endgame
Facts.... this movie changed the whole dynamic of Thor in the mcu universe.... this was a wtf wow moment
11:50 No. This is Cate Blanchett (Galadriel from Lord Of The Rings). The Ancient One is Tilda Swinton.
She plays the White Witch in Chronicles of Narnia
Loki is on whatever side is best for him at the moment. He's neither a good guy or bad guy, he's just Loki.
You edited out my favorite part! "Your officially pardoned... from life." Hahahahaha 😂 😂
Taika Waititi is a genius, so glad he directed this and is doing the next one. Also can't wait for his own Star Wars movie.
Taika also plays Korg, you'll love him
But ruined thor 4
@@rahulbhowmick9225no he didn't
Probably my favorite MCU movie, together with Infinity War. This one was so much fun! xD
Did you watched NWh
He got those guns on Midgard in a place called Tex-Ass. 👍
thor sister is the girl who played lady galadriel from lord of the rings
Helas executioner (Skurge is his name) got his two guns from Texas, he mentions in the movie that he used the bifrost sword to get them, they were in his collection of stuff with everything else he's presumably stole using the bifrost
Blue is gonna love the Loki series.
The Guy who played Korg is the director of this movie (We saw for a trailer of Free Guy with deadpool) : Taika Waititi
Loki: "I can't see into the future; I'm not a witch." 😉
11:55 That's Cate Blanchett, who played Galadriel in Lord of the Rings. You knew she looked familiar...
this is the best thor movie and one of the best MCU. Thor's character improved so much.
And Yeah I have love-hate realtionship with Loki too
I love your reactions. By the way, the actress who plays Hela is the same who plays Galadriel in the lord of the rings and the hobbit.
By the way, merry Christmas Trixy blue! 😊🎄
11:55 no, this is Cate Blanchett. Shebwas Galadriel in LOTR. Also in LOTR was the Des-Troy guy, Karl Irban, as Eomer, nephew to king Theoden and brother to Eowyn from 2nd part "The 2 Towers",
Odin in a nursing home. I often wonder if this is a reference to the book The Long Dark Tea-time of the Soul, which also had Odin in a nursing home on Earth.
Loki: I've been falling for 30 minutes
Emperor Palpatine: am I a joke to you
My favorite line in all of the MCU. I literally crack up every single time I hear it. :)
@@BruGaleen For me it's "are you Thor, the god of hammers?" Never doesn't get me.
This is the third time that a powerful elf from Middle Earth became an MCU villian. Galadriel is Hela, Elrond is Red Skull, and Thranduil is Ronan the Accuser.
Somehow, I didn't realize Thranduil was Ronan ..... :O
So the big question is: Who will Liv Tyler be?
Enchantress? Emma Frost?
We also had / will have multiple Doctors being MCU villains (The 9th Doctor Christopher Eccleston as Malekith in Thor: The Dark World, and the 10th Doctor David Tennant as Killgrave in Jessica Jones (kinda MCU). The 11th Doctor Matt Smith is actually scheduled to be a villain in Sony's "Morbius", which is connected to the MCU via Spider-Man (he's one of the Marvel characters they have rights to).
So that makes me wonder ... who will the 12th Doctor Peter Capaldi play?
I think he would make a great Dr. Doom!
I heard the audio, but didn't see the scene I teased my sister with about "Thor Ragnarok literally opens with a 'jaw dropping moment' in the first minute or so" She finally watched it, and I knew where she was in the movie because they paused it and she called me. Mostly because she didn't realize until that moment that I literally mean "literally opens with a 'jaw dropping moment" (sibling teasing troll victory, very appropriate for this film)
Blue: "How do Asgard got um, guns?"
Me: "When he was impressing women earlier, he told them he got this from a place in Midgard called 'Texass' [which of course he means the state of Texas, a state in the USA which some people feel have the most freedom to own and carry guns. I haven't looked at every state's laws, but you will find a lot of guns in Texas]
"What was that? I demand answers!" Ahem...be careful what you wish for. ;)
That was Tilda Swinton, this is Cate Blanchett. No worries, they kinda look and sound the same, even I mistook Swinton for Blanchett in Narnia. It's like with Nick Nolte and Gary Busey, actors who look alike and are often mistaken in different movies ;) I remember when they announced Hela for this movie and I was hoping for either Blanchett or Swinton in the role (this was before it was announced that Swinton was cast as The Ancient One in Dr. Strange). Was very happy that it was Blanchett and this was the second time I was right about a casting of an actor in a upcoming movie =)
Hela has a healing factor granted to her by her war outfit.
Merry Christmas to you Blue. Love all your reactions and your energy. Hoping school goes well for you and the new year brings happiness and growth
The actress that plays Hela is Cate Blanchett, the same that played Galadriel from Lord of the Rings.
Don't feel bad for loving Loki, we all love Loki. He is growing as a person. He changed a lot since New York.
My favourite MCU flick. Thanks for the Christmas gift Trixy...
8:02 theatre's actors are:
* Thor is played by Luke Hemsworth, broyher to "our" "real" Thor's actor Chris
* Loki is Matt Damon
* Odin is Sam Neil, mostly knows as dino-scientist from Jurassic Park
Hulk (like a defiant kid): "Big monsters!"
Hell yes, you've hit my fav MCU movie so far.
Korg is the best character in the MCU. Any time he’s on screen is a joy.
Scourge got the guns on Earth from Texas. He explained that to the girls at the beginning of the film.
Hela became my favorite Villain the moment she went full Madara against the Asgardian army
Odin still has at least two other children that haven't been introduced into the MCU. Balder and Vidar.
“Are they gonna destroy the bridge again?”
*asgard gets obliterated*
7:59 - Loki is Matt Damon, Thor is Chris's brother, Luke Hemsworth and Odin is Sam Niel (from Jurassic Park)
Can't wait for you to watch the Loki series.😁
Love your reactions. Keep doing what you love! Nothing and no one can ever take that from you
Thundercats 🥰
This movie is for sure top 5 of all MCU films.
blue the actress that played hela is austrailian and american , her mom is from austrailia and her dad is from texas . she's done movie with american southern accents you'd think she's from the south
"I can't figure out loki".... and so loki's work is done 😅
Well this was a Merry Christmas! I am glad you are enjoying these. We are rapidly approaching the endgame...
Ha, my daughter has a huge crush on Loki. He has quite the fanbase.
22/1 Baker street / bleecker street .. is the address of sherlock holmes which was played by Benedict.. on BBC .. and it was great show ..
In addition to the humor, what I love about this movie is the sort of 70`s/80`s arcade style look and music. (I`m 42 so I can see it :) )
And when you said are they going to destroy the bridge again "Not..... Just the bridge." :-P
Props to this actor ! Anthony Hopkins the greatness actor ever lol !
My favorite quote from this movie, is "I know him from work!"
Loki wants to feel like he's important. And wanted imo. Those 2 things most.
You'll have to wait another movie (Black Panther) to see what's up with that space ship at the end :)
I still don't get how the God of Thunder is being tased _ confusing
This film is why I'm looking forward to Thor: Love & Thunder.
All Loki ever wanted was to be Thor’s equal. And the ship at the end belongs to Thanos.
Absolutely my favourite solo-ish Marvel movie, and the funniest flick in the entire MCU.
This is the type of tone I like to keep in my life, this movie had fratricide, the slave trade, revolution, and an apocalypse, yet you were having fun and laughing the entire time. Just because it's the end of the world doesn't mean you can't smile. Also absolutely not a spoiler but I like to mess with people saying "no way home, I didn't expect MJ to be Loki in disguise, when she jumped out and stabbed him, I didn't think marvel had the balls to kill off Peter Parker permanently in a fixed point. Oh, Spoiler sorry." Love your reactions blue and there are so many more loops for you to be thrown on, I'm looking forward to you finding out what really happens.
Yea the song is pretty cool. It is Led Zepplin's 1972 "The Immigrant Song" about Viking warriors and the "Hammer of the Gods"!
8:30 after all it's one of thr greatest and most famous actors alive, Sir Anthony Hopkins. Hismost famous role is cannibalistic shrink Hannibal Lector
"That"'s the Sanctuary II, which is Thanos's ship
Have you ever heard the term "all roads lead to Rome"? Well, it's the same way with Asgard and anus'.
This movie has a Guardians of the Galaxy feel.
Merry Christmas Trixy 🎄🎄🎄🎄. Best Christmas Present Ever.
Some people really “get off” on spoiling movies for other people. They’re called “children.”
This is one of my favorites
The only thing I don't like the way they got rid of Thor's friends so quick.
Agreed. The Warrior Three deserved a much more epic sendoff.
Definitely the best Thor movie so far
Cheers _ happy holidays _ stay amazing
“I can’t figure out Loki” is the same question you will ask again not just in the next movie he’s in, also in the movie after that, also in his own show after that. Lol.
So far it's the best Thor movie
34:20 how do they have guns? Scourge said he acquired those from Texass(Texas USA lol) he named them Des and Troy.
I imagine Dr. Strange has the best magical weed on earth, 😆.
"He has Hulk trauma"
🤣🤣🤣
Hands down the best Thor movie, and also one of the best in the MCU...this was magic
Blue, you're the *cutest* Homie! I love love love your sense of humor. Don't ever stop sharing your cinematic adventures with us please!
Kate Blanchet i think her name is ,,, she has done alot of movies ,,, she is in da lord of da rings
Loki is the God of mischief ~ The eternal prankster; however, Loki is operating on a cosmic scale and every action has a result to accommodate his agenda. His behavior can be perceived as erratic, capricious, and even flighty.
Again, he's a God and he is not meant to align to the human capacity of thought.
I love you more since you recognized Led Zeppelin, in that moment... You totally got me!!!!
Well... We here Blue...
Are you ready for what is coming????
#MerryChristmas
My favorite part was Matt Damon actually being an Asgardian in this movie
and now after Shang Chi, they need to find a reason to put Matt Damons Asgardian Character alongside Trevor for a cameo in the future they are both Act tors after all
He was rescued by thor when he was trapped in mars
Why are 2/3 of Odin's children obsessed with power? Maybe Odin was such a great father figure.
No judgment here. We all have a thing for Loki.
Chris’s brother plays him in the play and Matt Damon was loki
Hela weapon is Origin Necrosword shape
I like Hela. I hope MCU brings her back.
great reaction to a great film also as its Christmas have you considerd watching how to train your dragon homecoming your videos on the other three films were great and I think you would like it just a idea but keep up the great work all your vids are great.
No judgment here about how you feel about Loki Trixy Blue. You shouldn’t have to justify why. People shouldn’t judge but know I will not. On another note it was an absolute joy and gift to watch with you Thor Ragnarok on Christmas Day. Your expressions commentary and laughter make me so happy and keep bringing me back time and time again. I hope you have a wonderful day. Peace and love to you. 💙💙😊
blue the grandmaster and the collector from guardians of the galaxy vol.1 are brothers
Great movie and good commentary. I love your glasses.
Yay, thank you! ☺️☺️☺️
BTW, the actors of Loki's play were: Sam Neil (from Jurassic park like Jeff Goldblum) as play Odin, Matt Damon as play Loki, and Luke Hemsworth as play Thor (Chris Hemsworth's brother). They are also gonna appear on Thor 4 with Melissa McCarthy playing as Hela.
korg and drax need their own comic together.
For the fake play you had Matt Damon playing Loki. INSIDE STORY: Matt Damon played Loki the angel, in Kevin Smith's movie Dogma, so I think this was an inside joke to salute Kevin. Also, this may also be Matt poking fun at his bestie, Ben Affleck because he played DC movie, Batman vs Superman by then, and it bombed.
Sam Neil playing Odin was in the OG Jurassic Park, while Jeff Goldblum was too. Chris Pratt is from the modern series.
The man playing Thor is his brother Luke Hemsworth. He is in a show, along with Anthony Hopkins (Odin), and Tessa Thompson (The Valkyrie) in a great show you should watch, called WESTWORLD.
Skurge = Karl Urban, and Hela= Cate Blanchett as Galadriel from LOTR/ TH Saga.
Disney is collecting actors from blockbuster franchises, like their Infinity stones.
I just cracked the code. Disney is Thanos.🤣
Trixy, this is first time in these movies that Thor wears his metal helmet from the comic books with the wings on the side of it
He actually wore it during the coronation service in Thor 1. I always thought the helmet was cool. But they ditched it.
She love Loki, wait see Infinity War haha, oh man
Props to this, uhh, actor...
*checks notes*
Anthony Hopkins
