    • @JaguerRhye
      @JaguerRhye 8 месяцев назад +1

Where does Paul ever clearly assert that the church is the Israel of God? Are you referring to Gal 6:16. In Gal 6:16 Paul is pronouncing a blessing on members of 2 different groups who follow the rule of salvation through faith alone. The first group is to those of the uncircumcision, the gentile christians who are those whom the epistle is largely directed to. But there is a second group who are the Israel of God. These are the circumcision, those who are *jewish* believers. This Israel of God is in contrast to those jewish teachers who were the Judaizers who were asserting one had to keep the law to be justified. There is nothing in this passage nor in any other NT passage that teaches that the church is the Israel of God or some kind of spiritual Israel.
Rom 9:6 is another “proof” text christians use but neither “Israel” in that passage refers to the church at all. Paul is speaking of ethnic Israel (those who were physical descendants of Jacob) and “spiritual” Israel who are simply believing jews, similar to the Israel of God mentioned in Gal 6:16. The context has nothing to do with the church at all.

The gentiles are grafted into Israel who has rejected God's promised Messiah Romans 9-11. The dividing wall of hostility has been destroyed and the two (Jews and gentiles) have been made one in Christ Ephesians 2:11-3:13. These scriptures make it clear that the Jews and gentiles are now one people in Christ. Those outside of Christ, whether Jew or gentile, are excluded from New Covenant which is the only Covenant in effect since Jesus death and resurrection.

I watched the first half of this. I largely agree with you. Although I have never been a dispensationalist, in the past I have been taught some misconceptions about Israel. Nineteen years ago I began reading the Scriptures from beginning to end over and over, and sharing what the Lord was teaching me through them, and I had some unlearning to do and some new learning that took place, and this is when the Lord really began to awaken me to the truth about Israel (biblical truth) and he had me begin writing about it. But as soon as I began to write about it I got ground up, got called a heretic, and had some people saying I should be put to death for what I was teaching. And I can't really say I have had much at all in the way of support at all from anyone since then, but mostly rebuke, until just recently, and the support I do have now is very minimal. Oh, and I have been teaching the Scriptures for about 50 years, too. And I am female. Sue Love, almost 74 years of age.

Then the attack on October 7th got me thinking and I found myself not falling for the giving Israel a blank check...everything they do is correct. Was also horrified with hearing Christians saying all Palestinians should die. Did some research and I found I had been pretty much a Christian Zionist. To change from that is not easy because you feel guilt. Its been a difficult month shedding dispensational beliefs. I did not even realize until watching this that I was also a dispensationalist. The initial assertion that Steve makes regarding the fact that the UN gave Israel the land in 1948, essentially stealing it from its rightful owners, the Palestinian Arabs, shows a fundamental willful ignorance of the history of the land of Israel, both secularly and biblically. Surely Steve knows that the land of Israel has been inhabited by the Jews for 4,000 years, long before Palestinians were a people. The very land called "Palestine" for much of the past 1900 years is named that very name because in AD 135, the Roman emperor Hadrian, renamed Israel, Palestine, as a direct slight to the Jews which he hated.
Steve says he's read the Bible through 50 times but here makes the case that the land of Israel rightfully belongs to the Arabs. This man has read Genesis 12 and 15, he's read the everlasting covenant that God made with Abraham and his descendants forever, he's read Paul's vehement denunciation of such false doctrine in Romans 11 but still willfully speaks against it, while proclaiming to be a devout teacher of God's Word. This is very troubling. It appears as if Steve has succumb to a spirit of deception that is rampant in the church today, but has been present in the world for thousands of years. This is a spirit of Satan that hates national Israel, that hates the Jews as God's chosen people. Satan still hates the Jews, do not be deceived, Satan isn't a supersessionalist, he knows God's still future plans for Israel as laid out in God's Word. The anti-Semitism in this world today being perpetrated by primarily Muslims and secularists, but in this case, to a lesser degree, by self-proclaimed Bible believers is simply tragic and is unconscionable for a professing follower of Christ. These people are deceived, my friends. Be on the lookout for these teachers of false doctrine.

No longer will any of them teach his fellow community member or his brother, ‘Know Adonai’; for all will know me, from the least of them to the greatest; because I will forgive their wickednesses and remember their sins no more.””
      ‭‭Yirmeyahu (Jer)‬ ‭31‬:‭32‬-‭33‬ ‭CJB‬‬
“In saying first, “You neither willed nor were pleased with animal sacrifices, meal offerings, burnt offerings and sin offerings,” things which are offered in accordance with the Torah; and then, “Look, I have come to do your will”; he takes away the first system in order to set up the second. It is in connection with this will that we have been separated for God and made holy, once and for all, through the offering of Yeshua the Messiah’s body.”
      ‭‭Messianic Jews (Heb)‬ ‭10‬:‭8‬-‭10‬ ‭CJB‬‬
Obviously, we are not, not, fully under the new covenant. Otherwise, you nor anybody else would be teaching “know the Lord for all would know him”.

Completely apart from this man. . I have been teaching this on RUclips to anyone who would listen for years. . My eye opening experience is realizing that there are also others. . For several years. . I thought i was all alone. .
Reading the word for yourself. . Without anyone to guide you. .it leads to this understanding. . This is what it means to walk with God. And why so many fall away to the errors of dispensation that is taught by many. . It's a doctrine for a tickling ear. . And it's what's everywhere out there amongst the false prophets. But one who actually reads the scriptures for themselves. . Believing God. . Will come to the same conclusion this man has. I know. Because i came to it myself completely separate from him or anyone else.

      @stever3119 9 месяцев назад

@user-bz7ok3yl7z Because that's what the word says. .
This is how Satan has infiltrated this generation of people. He has made something simple, turn into something complicated to them. Making them doubt the first thing and replacing it instead with the second thing.
An example i speak about all the time. When you tell a child something simple. Such as. "Jesus is God. God's people believe in Jesus" they would believe it. Thus if you tell them, "those people do not believe in Jesus, are they God's people?" What will their answer be? Emphatically no. .
But what we do. . Or. . Men who claim themselves to be wise made to be foolish. Is say. . "Jesus is God. God's people believe in Jesus" when we ask the "wise" they answer. . "Yes God's people believe in Jesus. So those people over there do not believe in Jesus, are they God's people too?" Yes say the wise. .
This generation tries to do algebra. . Without first learning how to add and subtract. It cannot see the forest because it fixated on one tree. It cannot see past the tip of their own nose. And it's been taught as a tradition. Passed down. For these 200 years. Making it very hard for those who are snared inside of the "wisdom" trap, to exit it.
This is why Jesus told the rich man to go and sell everything. . Then he would be able to follow. . This generation refuses to sell away the lie. . They become beholden to it. It's too hard to give up. So they just keep doubling down on it. It's the sin of pride. .
They treat the church as if it's a "side chick". God was married to the Jews. . He's going away for a little while to another woman. . But don't worry. . He'll be back. . They make God into an adulterer. Because they themselves are adulterers. God makes them show their hypocrisy so that all may see it. . All who love the truth.

I get a real kick out of people who are against dispensationalism when the word dispensation is found in the scriptures. Rightly dividing the wod of God is important to know who it is taking to and who it applies to. Here is just one example David in the psalms prayed for the Lord to not take his Holy Spirit from him. Nobody that has been born again should ever pray that prayer because we are sealed by the Holy Spirit until the day of redemption. Now I am not saying not to ask for the fullness of the Holy Spirit but simply that we are his and he will never leave us or forsake us because when he purchaces us with his own blood that is when the Holy spirit takes residence in the believer. No one in the old testament was born again . This also isnt to say that everyone who believes in dispensationalism is always rightly dividing the word of truth.
The Kingdom of heaven is not the same as the Kingdom of God. One is physical and one is spiritual. The bible says the kingdom of God dwelleth in you. Its not Christs Physical Kingdom that dwells in us but his spiritual kingdom through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. We are not baptized unto Johns baptism. Our baptism is not to make our way strait because the kingdom ofheaven is at hand. You read in the book of Mathew if thy right han offend thee cut it off or if thy right eye offend thee pluck it out it is better to have one hand than two to be cast into hell fire..Now if you think this applies to you then tell me where are all the one eyed christians or one handed ones? dont spiritualise this brother he is talking about swift judgment when he sets up his earthly kingdom. Need more proof? If thou say unto thy brother Raca thou shall be in danger of the council.WHAT COUNCIL? DONT YOU DARE SPIRITUALISE THIS TO FIT YOUR OWN NARATIVE ! But if thou say to thy brother tho fool thou shall be in danger of hell fire. Swift judgement carried out by the Lord Jesus when he set up rulers and coucils to carry out his judgments when he sit on his throne in Jeruselem. This may apply to us in princpal but when it is that specific it dosnt apply to us doctrinally at all. It is talking about a different time period a different dispensastion.

Hi Steve, I am a dispensationalist and I respect that you have different views, however you may want to refrain from charaterising dispensationalism by the worst elements i.e. the sensationalists, the date setters, the unstable "christians" that say - if Israel doesn't win this war then I'm done with Christianity.... because that is just setting up strawmen to easily knock down and make your position seem more rational/correct, but is not a very good Biblical argument. I have studied and listend to a great amount of other eschatological and theological views so im not in an echo chamber and yet I am still a dispensationalist, and yes I believe that the nation of Israel will endure forever as scripture says.
    Jerimiah 31:31-40
31 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:
32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the Lord:
33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the Lord, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.
34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the Lord: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.
35 Thus saith the Lord, which giveth the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divideth the sea when the waves thereof roar; The Lord of hosts is his name:
36 If those ordinances depart from before me, saith the Lord, then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before me for ever.
37 Thus saith the Lord; If heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, I will also cast off all the seed of Israel for all that they have done, saith the Lord.
38 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that the city shall be built to the Lord from the tower of Hananeel unto the gate of the corner.
39 And the measuring line shall yet go forth over against it upon the hill Gareb, and shall compass about to Goath.
40 And the whole valley of the dead bodies, and of the ashes, and all the fields unto the brook of Kidron, unto the corner of the horse gate toward the east, shall be holy unto the Lord; it shall not be plucked up, nor thrown down any more for ever.
This prophecy is only in part, fufilled - it is clear that there is yet a future, complete fulfillment
    Romans 11:25-33
25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.
26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:
27 For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.
28 As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the father's sakes.
29 For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.
30 For as ye in times past have not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief:
31 Even so have these also now not believed, that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy.
32 For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all.
33 O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!
God is not done with Israel. How do you deal with these verses? One would have to explain away the obvious.....
Peace and grace to you in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, amen 🙏

Steve Gregg, great story - RUclips algorithm fed me your video.
My experience is parallel to yours Steve but I was in San Diego, in a Calvary Chapel.
They were SO prevalent & influential in So Cal then !
But after about 7 predicted Rapture + / or 2nd coming FAILS (by 1995 or so) the wife & I agreed strongly that some mistaken base theological assumptions were embedded in the preaching.
We asked God to correct the false teachings & He did !
At that point we didn't even know to call it "Dispensationalism", similar to like a Democrat today can be clueless it's really Marxism they believe lol.
Anyhow, God brought another ex Calvary Chapel Pastor Rich Agozino to KBRT Christian Talk Radio LA in similar fashion - Rich was embarrassed at the repeated FAILS that our Calvary Chapel churches would engage in, then ignore.
Pastor Rich began interviewing many Preterist + Postmillennial Scholars, Pastors & Teachers on talk radio Weekday afternoons and we ALL got SCHOOLED.
Long story short, we returned to the "Puritain Hope" that the great Charles Spurgeon preached from & that the Reformational Scholars like Luther, Calvin and both English Pilgrims & Puritans taught, that the Kingdom is in it's early stages now, being Administered by God the Father, thru Jesus Christ the KING 👑 of kings LORD of lords, via the Holy Spirit, to both convert individuals to Him & entire Nations to obey the Gospel.
    Psalm 2, 22, 72, 110 & 149 lay it out poetically & beautifully.
Isaiah 9:7 & 1 Corinthians 15 give the overall timeline.
There are lots of great teachers along these lines.
Pastor Chuck Baldwin (now of Liberty Fellowship in Kila Montana) is also a great teacher & resource for study.
I'd reference the late & great Godly Dr RC Sproul as one fabulous teacher too
His 13 part series, free on RUclips, "The Last Days According to Jesus" is the penultimate exegesis that we NEVER heard at Calvary Chapel, but should have:

FIRST I am grateful to you for the truth Father Yahweh has granted unto you. My testimony is a replica of yours. Keep up the work of spreading THE truth. With this said I have a few convictions ie resolves, in which to share with you . ONE: “Israel” did NOT become a “nation” in 1948 but rather a state at and by the Zionists ie those who say they are Jews and are NOT. It is NOT man that brings YAHS people into the land promised by HIM but by Yah Himself (Jer. 16, 23, and 32:37) . I am resolved that these “Jews” that He will gather from the 4corners of this flat but circular earth of which I am and believe you are as well , WILL be those of the New Jerusalem ie the Kingdom of Yah. As you know, he/she is not a Jew who is one outwardly but IS one inwardly. TWO: Hamas , according to Ron Paul when speaking before congress, both informed and warned them that Hamas was a creation of the hidden inside puppet masters to aid them in eliminating Palestine for their takeover of that land. Not only did they create Hamas they strongly funded it until it has come back like a serpent to bite them in the back side. In fact, the weapons their using highly resemble those we sent to Ukraine , hum!!! Sounds to me like another “inside job” just as several Rabbi’s with inside info are claiming. What they mean is Israeli Governing bodies ALLOWED it to happen. Lotta “inside jobs” these days ,lol but not funny. THIRD: Yahweh has given all authority to His Son to execute judgment on the evil doers and He WILL do this by removing the TARES FIRST and leaving the wheat to remain. He WILL eradicate the “goats” FIRST and leave the sheep to rule and reign with Him (Yeshua) in His NEW JERUSALEM. There is ONLY one Israel and they are those bought by the blood of the Lamb, who’s sin debt is atoned for. HalleluYAH. Thanks for being an instrument in Yahs hands to fortify my convictions and resolves.
PS, two people with two differing beliefs as to what is truth , one can be right and the other wrong and both can be wrong BUT both can NOT be right. There is ONLY ONE absolute truth and it IS the quest of every believer to effectually fervently ask Father for it.

Another more recent work that goes into the early church roots of dispensational thought, which puts the final nail in the coffin of the argument that Darby invented dispensationalism is called "Discovering Dispensationalism" by Cory Marsh and James Fazio. These ideas are not recent. They are as old as the Church. Since they are not soteriological, the fact they re-emerged after centuries should not be a terrible shock to anyone. God has a purpose for delaying clarity on the subject until the times call for it. It is possible that dispensationalism had a hand in affecting support for Israel's nationhood over 100 years later because the idea of a revival of national Israel got a huge boost in the 19th century. It is not man that made that happen. It was GOD.

Israel didn't start any wars with the Arabs. It has repeatedly been the reverse. Saying that the land that the Arabs conquered from the Jews and Christians is rightfully theirs instead of belonging to the Israelites God promised it to, is just one step before saying that the Spanish have to give their country back to the Moores because the Moorish Muslims had held it for some time. He is actually giving an apologetic for constant unceasing Islamisation to fulfill the vision of Muhammad as written in Al Tabari volume 6 page 95. Muhammad was to be supreme over the quraysh tribe, and the quraysh were to be supreme over all the Arabs and the Arabs were to have supremacy over all the other peoples of the earth.

      The Irgun:
The King David Hotel was the site of the British military command and the British Criminal Investigation Division (CID). The Irgun chose it as a target after British troops invaded the Jewish Agency on June 29, 1946 (Black Sabbath), and confiscated large quantities of documents. At about the same time, more than 2,500 Jews from all over Palestine were placed under arrest. The information about Jewish Agency operations, including intelligence activities in Arab countries, was taken to the King David Hotel.
A week later, news of a massacre of 40 Jews in a pogrom in Kielce, Poland, reminded the Jews of Palestine how Britain's restrictive immigration policy had condemned thousands to death.
Irgun leader Menachem Begin stressed his desire to avoid civilian casualties and said three telephone calls were placed, one to the hotel, another to the French Consulate, and a third to the Palestine Post, warning that explosives in the King David Hotel would soon be detonated.
On July 22, 1946, the calls were made. Adina Hai-Nisan said she called the hotel switchboard 30 minutes before the explosion. That call was apparently received and ignored. Begin quotes one British official who supposedly refused to evacuate the building, saying: We don't take orders from the Jews.1 The Irgun also detonated a bomb nearby, which broke windows, but did not cause any injuries and may have been intended to cause panic and encourage evacuation of the building. As a result, when the bombs exploded, the casualty toll was high: a total of 91 killed and 45 injured. Among the casualties were 15 Jews. Few people in the hotel proper were injured by the blast.
The Irgun carried out a diversion bombing to encourage evacuation of the hotel before the main blast.

I don't care about dispensationalism or other -isms and am not very interested in them. I never go to any theological school. I just read the Bible and listen to good preachers. I found Derek Prince's teachings about Israel to be very good. He had first-hand experience about Israel.. he was in Israel when it was about to have its independence, he was a British who adopted Jewish children as well. He also pointed out a passage in the Scripture that shows that Israel will be regathered to their land IN UNBELIEF and only after that God would make them believe, which I am certain is correct, and therefore makes you incorrect here, Sir. Read Ezekiel 36:16-28, with the specific steps of restoration from 24-28:
24 *I will take you from the nations and gather you from all the countries and bring you into your own land.*
25 *I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean from all your uncleannesses, and from all your idols I will cleanse you.*
26 And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.
27 And I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes and be careful to obey my rules.
28 You shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers, and you shall be my people, and I will be your God.
So there, this is like a blueprint from God from around 2400 years ago of what happened in 1948. One day, eventually Israel would accept the New Covenant brought by their Messiah, Lord Jesus Christ.
Also, I think you need to learn the correct history of Israel's return. They, the Jews, BOUGHT quite a lot of the land, and so they returned 'legally'. It was not like they were given land that was 'snatched' from the local Arab population! Initially the state was established on this 'legitimately Jewish land' but then the Arabs rejected their presence there, and invaded them, while asking local Arabs to leave (btw, there were also already Jewish local population, and so Palestinians at that time actually refers to both Jews and Arabs. Golda Meier hold a 'Palestinian passport' from 1921-1948), because they wanted to drive the Jews out to the sea. They failed, and so the displaced local Arabs could not return to their property. HOWEVER, at around the same time, and even before, even more Jews in the surrounding Arab states were DRIVEN OUT by the Arab governments/peoples (around 900,000 of them), and most of them (650K) went to Israel. So, practically, if we talk about JUSTICE, there was already justice in POPULATION EXCHANGE. Palestinian Arabs went out of Israel and became refugees in Arab states (about 700K), but Jews from the Arab states also left their property and became refugees in Israel. The only difference being that while the Jewish refugees were absorbed into Israel community as citizens, the Palestinian Arab refugees' status was preserved!! Those Arab states would not absorb those Arabs who actually are not different from their own population, into their own community!! Therefore, the existence of a Jewish state there is actually LEGITIMATE even without Biblical support.
Then, you also need to learn about Islam. What is Islam and if it is mentioned in the Bible, which it is. The book of Revelation told of a beast who get its power and throne and authority from Satan.. worshipped by all the eretz.. also a second beast arising out of the eretz.. do you know that khalif Abd al Malik was proclaimed caliph in Jerusalem? There is a spiritual battle between the God of Israel and Satan who wants to continue its occupation of the land of God.. but God already foretold that its time will be only 42 months or 1260 days (years), which are the same thing 42 months = 1260 days (1 day = 1 year, means 1260 years):
Re 11:2 but do not measure the court outside the temple; leave that out, for it is given over to the nations, and they will trample the holy city for *forty-two months.*
Re 13:5 And the beast was given a mouth uttering haughty and blasphemous words, and it was allowed to exercise authority for *forty-two months.*
Re 12:6 and the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by God, in which she is to be nourished for *1,260 days.*
If we go back 1260 years from 1948, we get to 688 AD, the middle year of the construction of the Dome of the Rock, the symbol of Islamic occupation of the Temple Mount, by who? Abd' al Malik! The caliph representing the beast arising out of the earth (eretz). Therefore, the return of Israel and its independence in 1948 is definitely a fulfillment of these prophecies.
You cannot take the reading of the Scripture out of the context of the world history, including today, including Islam.. when you read Gog war in Ezekiel 38, you will also see that those nations attacking Israel that is already regathered from many nations are also Islamic nations today! The only thing that unite those nations is Islam.. not nationality. Not all of them are Arabic, but all of them are Muslim countries.

Actually, it was the common view of the church throughout history until the last 100-200 years, beginning with John Nelson Darby creating the dispensational, followed by the Scofield Reference Bible and Dallas theological popularizing the idea. This view is actually still held the majority of Presbyterian, Reformed, Lutheran churches, and many others outside the west. I (Jason, the channel owner; not Steve Gregg) never heard anything other than premillennial ideas until I was. But there were so many gaps, zigzagging around the Bible for a verse here, and a verse there. There were contradictions, such as "we take prophecy literally, yet soldiers on horses locusts were tanks and fighter jets and Jesus didn't actually come soon. So I knew it wasn't right. So I was intrigued when I heard about the partial preterist/ amillennial view, which just fit with everything in the bible and with history, with no complicated charts and magical 2000 year gaps.

Dispensational patterns in human history were noticed in the Bible by early church fathers. It's a visible pattern, not an interpretation. The spiritually blind need explicit road signs. When storm clouds come, do you need a sign flashing in the sky that tells you it's going to rain or can you figure that out? The Bible is a bit like that. There is no announcement that will satisfy you that tells you one dispensation/age/period ends, and another begins. Wisdom reveals dispensationalism is true, hence why early church fathers noticed it. It's a total lie to say it was 'invented' by Darby. Darby simply coalesced what was already recognized many centuries ago. It's there if you're willing to remove the blinders. This is not a salvation issue, either, but it's an issue that prevents you from fully appreciating God's plan if you refuse to see it. The Bible contains patterns that must be noticed. There are no explicit notifications like you want to see.

I have only recently been awakened to the fact that dispensational doctrine is not what I see the Bible saying. I think I wanted it to be true and was only hearing that preached in every church, podcast or online verse teachings. I hate all the labels given (amil, postmil, premil, all the variations of rapture, Calvinist, blah blah blah), but what I now see plain as day is AD 70 was fulfilled prophecy ending the Old Covenant with Israel. Jesus CLEARLY stated what was about to happen in the Olivet Discourse. Why is this glossed over in every single church I’ve researched ??

No one believes pre trib because they are afraid of the tribulation. There are as much scriptural evidence as there is for what you are interpreting.

Steve enjoys citing fringe examples of professing dispensationalists who state unbelief but is in no way aligning with the whole of those who believe in dispensationalism.

Would it be fair to say the US funds to Israeli expansionism in the West Bank are coming from the despensationlist camp? Is CUFI made up of mostly (and possibly unwittingly) desposationlists?
