The 7% of Christians in Gaze is a bit high. there are approx 0.004% with a population of 2.5million. In the West Bank, it is about 50,000 which is
approx 1.6 % with a population of 3.2 million. in Isreal there about
100,000 which is 1.9% with a population of 9.4 million. If you add the population of all three communities you have 15.1 million with 3.5/6% Christian. What is a Christian is another debate in the light of the apostle's teaching.

@@TheOverlapLifewithTimBarber “until” is what you are missing. Israel is still being trampled on by the Gentiles. Israel (who tried 6 times to trade land for peace) is indeed being trampled on by Gentiles. I’ve been there and it’s obvious. Out of the kindness of Israel, mosques are everywhere in the land. You will see them and hear them as you walk around.
Try building a synagogue in an Arab country. Good luck with that. Or in many Muslim countries, a brand new church for that matter.
Furthermore, Moshe Dayan, in hopes of having peace, gave away control of the Temple Mount to Jordan. Even though he didn’t have the authority to do that. That “until” has not happened either.
The tribulation is not like any of the wars or rumors of wars of the past. Those were birth pains. Birth pains come harder and faster. I’ve personally been there observing and hearing that also. What is happening right now - are more severe and faster birth pains.
V33 “so likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.”
‭‭- so “who is the fig tree”?…we have to ask from V32.
Israel (in unbelief today) is completely done offering land for peace. Why? Because the rockets and terror keep coming and will continue to come. They know that and we know that. Coming from all sides. For Israel, this is a time for war.
“For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together. Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:”
      ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭24‬:‭28‬-‭29‬ ‭KJV‬‬
So what is the carcass? The physical and spiritual destruction that Satan caused (and God allowed) during the time of the the tribulation (using the anti-Christ and the false prophet).
      So…
immediately after the tribulation (or “distress” - NIV). A great distress, unequaled “for then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.”
      ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭24‬:‭21‬ ‭KJV‬‬
I do not know the times or season, or the day or the hour - so please don’t ask.
I will tell you, that as you occasionally look up while you are making Him known, to look up. Because He is coming to meet us in the air. Our redemption (full, in heaven) is drawing close!
The dispensation that Israel is in, is obvious now. It is undeniable. They will not trade peace for land anymore. The tribulation spoken clearly about in the Bible above has not started ….yet! But land for peace? That ship has sailed.

These are two excellent videos from a man who's clearly done much deep study of scripture. I myself was really torn on this issue of Israel in the last days, so much so that I felt to pray for clarification as to which viewpoint really reflected God's purposes. Then these videos popped up on my feed (it had been a long time since I'd seen any from Steve Gregg). Maybe giving me the very answer to prayer I was seeking. @@SteveGreggVideos I read your transcript of Acts 15 and I wonder if you aren't so involved in the details of the characters that you fail to pick up on a truth that is being revealed. James is saying 14 Simon has declared how God at the "first" visited the Gentiles to take out of them a people for His name. 15 And with this the words of the prophets agree, just as it is written:
      16
‘After this ( after God takes from the gentiles a people for His name) I will return
And will rebuild the tabernacle of David, which has fallen down; It isn't a structure or tent that has fallen down. It is a people, The Jews.
Would this not qualify as dispensationism?

    • @sishrac
      @sishrac Год назад

@@jash7401 Maybe SteveGreggVideos might respond to your question but here's my take based on my own study and understanding of Scripture. Disclaimer: My views don't necessarily represent Steve Gregg's.
There are Old Testament passages that connect Gentiles with the 10 tribes of Israel that fell away. One such passage is in Hosea 1: 9 - 11. Israel fell and was scattered into the nations and thus was denounced as 'Not My People', which means their descendants became Gentiles through assimilation with the Gentile nations. But we read that God will gather those who are 'Not My People' and join them with Judah under one Head (we know from the NT that the head is Christ).
9 And the Lord said, “Call his name Not My People, for you are not my people, and I am not your God.”
10 Yet the number of the children of Israel shall be like the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured or numbered. And in the place where it was said to them, “You are not my people,” it shall be said to them, “Children of the living God.” 11 And the children of Judah and the children of Israel shall be gathered together, and they shall appoint for themselves one head. - Hosea 1: 9 - 11 (ESV)
Likewise, if you read the passage in Acts 15 plainly for what it says, you'll see that James understood the quote from Amos 9:11,12 about the Tabernacle of David, which had fallen down that God was rebuilding, as a direct reference to the Gentile people being restored, who are called by God.
13 After they finished speaking, James replied, “Brothers, listen to me. 14 Simeon has related how God first visited the Gentiles, to take from them a people for his name. 15 And with this the words of the prophets agree, just as it is written,
16 “‘After this I will return,
      and I will rebuild the tent of David that has fallen;
      I will rebuild its ruins,
      and I will restore it,
17 that the remnant of mankind may seek the Lord,
and all the Gentiles who are called by my name,
says the Lord, who makes these things 18 known from of old.’ - Acts 15: 13 - 17 (ESV)
In conclusion, it was always a faithful remnant of Israel, Judah, and even proselytes who were considered God's covenant people based on the law of Moses. The OT does reveal that the New Covenant would comprise a believing remnant among the Jews (until the destruction of Jerusalem and the temple) and those from the Gentile races from then on who were to be restored under Christ's blood. To believe in Christ means to place one's salvific confidence in Him alone and not in combination with one's status or racial pedigree.
The Jews that were scattered after 70 AD were also assimilated into the nations as a result so that even they count as Gentiles in God's eyes today. No more ethnic Jews! Hence the times of the Gentiles were foretold as imminent. This way their Gentile offsprings who believe in Christ may be restored as 'Children of the Living God'.

For example, Esau was just as much a child of Issac as Jacob, yet Jacob received the promise, and Esau didn't. Joseph is both a physical and spiritual Jew but Judas isn't. The church isn't spiritual Israel. The church has different promises. If you are spiritual Israel, why aren't you over in Israel getting the land that God promised you?

In Micah 4:6-7 we are told that when the Rapture happens (or the Gathering together of God's people at the end of the age --- from all over the earth) ... that He will "make the outcasts ... and the lame a remnant."
And in Isa. 49:3, Jesus Himself is referred to as "Israel."
Many Jews think that because Jesus didn't save the nation from Destruction, that THAT is why He is Not the Messiah (Jer. 23:5-6). What they Don't Realize is that we are Still Living in the Days of Messiah: simply because of Isa. 53:10 ... that His days will be Prolonged --- Forever --- because His body would "not see decay" because He would Rise from the Dead. Ps. 16:10 et al.
I also Agree with Everything you said, and want to Add that Acts 15:11 uses that same Greek Phrase (from Romans 11:26) that is Translated there as "in the same way" --- that Jews are saved, so are Gentiles: i.e. Through Faith in Jesus --- which is what You also said.

Ezekiel 38 and 39 was fulfilled in the days of Esther. Haman was an Agagite or also known as a Gogite in the Septuigent. He came and attacked the returning Jews in hopes of plunder of livestock and goods. He and all his armies were destroyed. And it's even interesting that in Ezekiel 39 it is stated that his burial would be known as Hamon Gog. Haman and Hamon would have read exactly the same way because Hebrew had no vowels at this time.

You mentioned the date 539 bc in reference to when Cyrus issued the decree to rebuild. That doesn't make sense since the 69 weeks from the decree to His baptism and anointing by the Holy Spirit would put the decree on or about 457 or 456 bc. I've heard other preachers also refer to 539 bc. But somebody must have the dates of Cyrus' reign messed up. I have also heard others say that Artaxerxes or some other ruler issued a decree but that would clearly contradict Isaiah 44. Can you help clear up this confusion?

    • @stevegregg2007
      @stevegregg2007 Год назад

The recognized date of Cyrus' decree was 539 B.C. There were additional decrees made by Artaxerxes in 457 and 445 B.C., respectively. Different scholars have chosen different decrees (among the three) as their starting points for the 70 weeks. The decree of Cyrus seems too early by about 80 years.
Because of their commitment to the Cyrus date, some scholars have suggested that our whole dating scheme for pre-Christian history after Daniel's time has been miscalculated, due to a mistake made by Ptolemy in the second century. All modern dating conventions follow Ptolemy's dating, but Anstey, Mauro, and others suggest that Ptolemy estimated the length of the Persian Empire as eighty years too long-which would require the recalibration of every established date for events prior to the time of Alexander the Great.

Thank you Steve and Scott for your replies. Steve, your comment made me dig into Ptolemy - who is this guy? From what I can see on Wikipedia and Britannica, he developed a model of the universe with the earth at its center. Hmmm. Not intending to sound sarcastic, but really? We are basing our dating of Biblical events on the work of a second century astronomer who is referenced in Wikipedia as having work full of errors, miscalculations, and who is labelled as "the most successful fraud in scientific history"? It may require the "recalibration of every established date for events prior to the time of Alexander the Great" as you say Steve, and I'm no scientist with the ability to accomplish that daunting task, but maybe some smart guy who is a Christian should help us out here.
And Scott, I looked at the 445 BC date - adding 483 years to that gets me to 38 AD which is not a date which lines up with anything which was prophesied in Daniel 9:24.
I guess I may be completely looney toons, but I think I'll stick with what the Bible says. I believe Jesus was baptized and anointed in 26 AD. Subtracting 483 from that date takes me to 457 BC. That may be 80 years away from the generally accepted date of the Cyrus decree, but the infallibility of scripture forces me to ignore any other conclusion. In the end, it makes not a bit of difference to salvation and walking with Christ and His desire that none should perish but all come to repentance.
Thanks again to both of you guys. Blessings.

@@ruthmayforth5933 Historic premillennialism maintains a simpler and more ancient perspective on the sequence of Christ's return and the millennium. Church fathers like Irenaeus, and Justin Martyr would've held to this view.
There are a few things that often fit the Historic Premillenianist view. (A) That Rev20:1-6 is a literal interpretation for a millenium kingdom. The millenium kingdom happens after the second coming. (B) There is a post-tribulation rapture. (C) People will look at revelation and make certain passages fit the history of the world. (D) Most parts of revelation are treated as apocalyptic literature and therefore are symbolic.
Seventh Day Adventist are also historic premillenianist but they're infamous for predicting when the return of Christ was to be. This was due to how they fit certain history onto revelation.
I'm sympathetic to this position and we have early church fathers that held similar views to this. I'm currently stuck between an Amillenial futurist, and this one.
I've been listening to Steve Gregg, and reading G.K. Beale, and George Ladd lately. G.K. Beale helps contextualised Idealism and symbolic Christian views on Revelation. George Ladd is also quite good from what I have read so far.

Great teaching from a man with a deep understanding of scripture, an excellent expository. I study the Bible myself and no longer follow the dispensational model.
Personally, I now subscribe to the historic teachings of Christianity & all the early protestant reformers concerning their assertions about the Biblical Antichrist - the Roman Catholic Church and office of the papacy. Modern Christianity has completely divorced itself from the historic record and the teachings of the historic church on this very important principle.
Despite the modern churches dastardly failing on this point, one can thankfully read works by modern journalists that verify the Bible's teaching about Antichrist, that ‘great whore’ responsible for 'all those slain on the earth' Revelations 18.
Paul Williams, in his book Operation Gladio, describes how the CIA is an organisation intimately linked to and controlled by the Vatican. The CIA created a billion-dollar heroin trade in southeast Asia to finance its operations and when that area could no longer produce the poppies due to drought they chose Afghanistan as the next location to produce the drug. To protect their interests in Afghanistan, the CIA recruited, financed, and trained several groups. One of those groups was called ISIS, another group was Hezbollah, and another group they funded and armed was Hamas.
Paul Williams, a former Roman Catholic, lays out the information very clearly in his book - that Hamas was created and funded by the CIA and still are. The CIA (Catholic Intelligence Agency) is under the control of the Vatican. Ultimately, Hamas is a Roman Catholic entity doing the bidding of the CIA.
You have to get this folks - All Roads Lead Back To Rome, the early Christian church agreed that the following biblical characters: The Man of Sin written about by Paul, the Little Horn by Daniel, and John's Woman That Rides The Beast. All these characters are the one and same entity and their prophecies are fulfilled to the letter in the historical record by the Roman Catholic church - to the letter folks.
Avro Manhattan, a great journalist, describes in his books how the Roman Catholic Church was responsible for bringing Hitler to power and how it was also responsible for the atrocities and genocide in Bosnia, and the Vietnam War. David Yallop, Avro Manhattan, Paul Williams, and many more independent journalists have written extensively on this topic and their accounts are uniform with Bible prophecy. You won't hear this information in modern evangelical churches, they’re too busy espousing dispensational nonsense. All roads lead back to Rome that is the truth.
Though I am not a 7th-day Adventist, which the presenter obviously is - the presentation he gives about Rome's links to Hamas is excellent, see the link below:

One of the features overlooked by the adherents of dispensationalism is its claim that certain prophetic events are yet to be fulfilled in the future which implies that Jesus cannot return at this very moment because these so-called events have not yet taken place. A second claim is that God saved man in different ways at different times. This claim by Darby contradicts the statement in Hebrews that says that nothing ever pleased God except faith (Hebrews 11:6). Some dispensational teachers have recognized this problem and are trying to distance themselves from this heretical view by contradicting Darby. And many dispensational teachers contradict each other to the point of violent accusations.

I have found that when we get twisted up in these thoughts, they always originate when we jump from theology into philosophy (man's thinking). You can pick out this problem that causes all the contention in the church when you can declare something and then say (or think), "It Only Stands to Reason." I call them IOSTRS.
When we pit one sin-cursed man's thoughts against another sin-cursed man's thoughts, we get a mess. Once you are tuned into this, you will find this contention disappears.
Never depend on Google, Wiki, etc., or any other mainstream stats to base your theology on.
Never go to "church fathers" for your theology... these writings are fabricated and filled with catholic heresies.

They believe that only God can re4store them to the land. It is sacrilegious for man to do it. That makes sense. I'd heard that opinion before and when you read it, it sounded exactly like what I'd heard referenced. Regarding the war of Magog.
You choose to take the years and the fire and brimstone fivuratively saying that is the more reasonable approach. Is it really? Would years have been different lengths in the intertestamental period from now? No significant difference. Therefore no reason for God to use figurative language, He could have said seven days or weeks if that is what He meant. Is fire and brimstone so different today if it were to fall from heaven that we need to speak figuratively in order for people to understand? Again, no! My premise is this, God is a good communicator and so He always uses literal terms familiar to His original target audience if possible! If there are details that are not comprehendable to His audience He chooses to use the closest term in order to communicate as clearly as possible. Weaponry is something that changes a lot over time! So in any portion of prophesy speaking of battles in the distant future, God is forced to use the terms of weapons they are familiar with in order for them to understand that we are talking about a war here with lots of heavily armed enemies that God will defeat to save Israel. If He were to say tank or Ak 47or helicopter people would be left wondering if they understood anything at all that He was talking about. So not wanting to launch into a prophetic explanation of what future weapons will be like God goes figurative. So, I assert that fivurative weapons maintains God's goal of good communication, allowing us to better understand when this war has or hasnt been fulfilled! There is no ancient battle that fits this description leading us to conclude it hasnt happened yet! If we take as figurative the fire and brimstone we are left trying to force this description into some ancient battle and when nothing fits we have to punt to mystery . This calls into question the value of revealing anything about it at all. Why would God waste pages writing about things so vaguely that even after they happen it is impossible to really confirm that that was it? I wouldnt consider God a good communicator in that instance!

The Jews in Israel today cannot trace any of their ancestors to any of the 12 tribes of Israel. There were 12 of them. They claim the term Jew came from Judah, but there are 11 more tribes. Leslie, how could somebody trace their ancestry to specifically Judah. I think this whole state of Israel is based on shotty ancestry claims. This is something that most people have been thinking all along, but don’t want to admit. I know with the 23 me ancestry testing the Ashkenazi Jews are always under European that right there alone should tell you who these people are. The condition is that we come to Jesus Christ Humbly, ask Him to come into our lives, and turn from sin, and be changed. That is a condition, we don’t just get that automatically. It is a free gift, but the gift is not just given to us if we don’t ask for it, and obey the word of Jesus Christ, and turn from sin. I know that Father calls us , And if we respond to him by turn to Jesus Christ, would you get that gift. So I am just stating that is not unconditional. The unconditional part comes in as you could be the worst sinner, Paul was a pretty bad sinner, and he came to Jesus Christ. Saying that anyone can be saved, if they turn to Jesus Christ, and turn away from sin, and except Jesus Christ as their lord and savior. Proclaim that Jesus Christ is God. I hope that helps you.

The entire chapter is a quick overview of Israel' post exilic history. They willbe without a king for many days! They never had another king after the death of Zedekiah! The partial return under Cyrus did not fulfill this chapter. In the last days they will seek David their king and come trembling back to the Lord! Hosea 3 directly says plainly what you say the Bible never says!

The house of Israel was scattered by Assyria in 721 BC (10 northern lost tribes). The house of Judah (tribes Judah, Benjamin and Levi) was exiled into Babylon in 605 BC and returned to Jerusalem to rebuild the temple and the city after 70 years captivity. The restoration of the Nation of Israel is the re-union of the two separated houses under One Shepherd, Jesus Christ. Ezek 34:23 and 37:15-28, John 10:16.

We have problems with the use of the word “Jew”, it’s become convoluted, in our modern world, where Hebrews, Israelites, Judaites, And Jews, all mean the same thing but that depends on the context.
But as to the word “Jew”, it was translated from the Greek word “loudaios” And seems to have been loosely used, according to Strongs Concordance, Greek Lexicon, to describe both Jews and early Christians, and not only folks from Judah.
I think what we have now, is our modern use of the word creeping into discussions of scripture, where a better job of distinguishing between the different ancient cultures, needs to be done.
Going back and looking how the words were used in the Greek would go a long way in doing this.

Jesus fulfilled the law. His grace and salvation for me is not dependent on my ability to keep my end of the covenant but on His ability to keep His. Grace alone to the Jew and the Gentile in the face of our rebellion is the good news. The great tribulation is called Jacob's trouble. Not the Church's trouble. The church is not Jacob. The Church's persecution and the persecution of the Jews during the time of Jacob's trouble are unrelated.

Then the 70th week the Messiah was cut off during his 1 week or 7 years. He got people to destroy the temple and cease the sacrifices, which was seen by the generation that knew the Messiah. 2nd Timothy 2:15. It says, "Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth."
The key to evaluating what this means is to look at the original language of 2nd Timothy 2:15. And this is what we find. The word that is translated "rightly dividing" in the Old and New King James versions, and in several others, is a single word in the Greek. It is a form of the Greek verb orthotomeo.
In New Testament times, orthotomeo was primarily a civil engineering term. It was used, for example, as a road building term. The idea of the word was to cut straight, or to guide on a straight path. The idea is to cut a roadway in a straight manner, so that people who will travel over that road can arrive at their destination directly, without deviation. Orthotomeo was also used as a mining term. It meant to drill a straight mine shaft.
It literally means the opposite of "divide."

Who are the people who say they are Jews and are not and who are the

Rev 3:9 Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they
are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I
will make them to come and
worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.

    keep
thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.
Are The people whom Jesus loves written in Rev. 3:9 the same group of people Jesus is addressing in Rev. 3:10 (The church of
    Philidelphia/Christians)?
he is not a Jew which is one outwardly in the flesh, but inwardly. Born of the Holy spirit of God.

That’s a rather mysterious verse that, in my personal opinion, could apply to Jesus’ time just as it could apply today.
Have you looked to John 8 for a clue?
They answered him, “We be Abraham’s seed and have never been in bondage to anyone” “how can you say, we will be made free”
      John 8: 33
“I know the you ARE Abraham’s seed, but you seek to kill me, because my word has no place in you” John 8:37
“If you were Abraham’s children, then you would do the works of Abraham” John 8:39
“You are of your Father the devil and the desires of your father, you will do” John 8:44
Here, The Pharisees (Jews) claim to be the seed of Abraham and Jesus acknowledges that indeed they are descendants of Abraham. But because they do not do the works of Abraham and, do not love Jesus, who was sent by God, he calls them the children of the devil.
The works of Abraham is faith, and the greatest commandment of Jesus was to love God and love one another, which Jesus calls them out on both counts.
Since that passage in Revelation applies to Jews, maybe the passages I recited in John will help you to better understand what and who, he was talking about.

@@williamcarr3976 In Rev 2:9 and Rev 3:9 Jesus talks about "Jews" not about Abraham's seed. The difference is mentioned by Paul in Galatians 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise."
On the other hand, there are certain promises made to the "Jews" ie Davidic Covenant, God did not make a covenant with the church regarding an everlasting Kingdom. This covenant was given to a Jew. Mosaic law was given to Jews. The Jews are still under the law because they did not receive the Gospel. Paul says that accursed is the man who, being under the law, does not follow it. Clearly the Jewish people have suffered in a manner consistent with being cursed, particularly in the 20th century. It seems to me that in Revelation 2:9 and 3:9 Jesus is talking about the replacement theology of some who say they are Jews, but are not. They conflate the covenants. The Church that says it has replaced Israel was responsible for the holocaust on Jews. It was called "the third reich" and was supposed to last 1000 years, and had the blessing of the Papacy and some protestant churches in Germany. The Papacy and most protestant churches are responsible for keeping people ignorant of dispensations. The modern nation of Israel was born after world war II, the Jewish nation had paid for it's iniquity from Ezekiel 4 and Leviticus 26. They only paid 70 years after Babylonian captivity. 360 years were left. Multiplied by 7 from the time the captivity ended in approx. 537 BC leads to the end of word war II (when you convert to gregorian years)
