  • thenarrowpath.com | The Roman army utterly destroyed the nation of Israel in 70 AD. Gone were Jerusalem, the Temple, and the people. The nation and the Mosaic religion ceased to exist. 1,878 years later, a nation calling itself Israel came into existence (May, 1948). Some say it was the fulfillment of Prophecy. But is modern Israel the rebirth of ancient Israel? What does the Bible say about it?
In this fascinating lecture, Bible teacher Steve Gregg discusses the movement and the movers responsible for the Modern State of Israel. TRANSCRIPT: opentheo.org/i...

As a Palestinian, I truly appreciate your sermon. A close friend of our in Qatar, suggested I watch this video today. We, Palestinians, have been suffering from the "God is with Israel" people for 80 years. I am wondering if you have noticed any similarities between the way the Bible is being pickpocketed today to justify atrocities and death to so many in the Middle East (Palestinians, Iraqis, etc.) and the way it was used to oppress (and murder) the Native Americans and Africans (slavery).
Fredrick Douglass' quote from back in the 1840s feels as real today as it did back then:
"“I love the pure, peaceable, and impartial Christianity of Christ; I therefore hatethe corrupt, slaveholding, women-whipping, cradle-plundering, partial, and hypocritical Christianity of this land. Indeed, I can see no reason, but the most deceitful one, for calling the religion of this land Christianity. I look upon it as the climax of all misnomers, the boldest of all frauds, and the grossest of all libels.” - Frederick Douglass, Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass, an American Slave / Incidents in the Life of a Slave Girl
I, as a Palestinian from Jerusalem, whose people are Believers, sense the Bible is being use to justify our suffering. So, thank you for pointing out that the "God is with Israel" people are taking things significantly out of context.
Also, I'd like to point out genetics. The Palestinians are not Arabs. Sure we share the language and customs that come from being occupied (again), but we are from the Canaanites. Our unique genetic make up maps out all the way to back from the Canaanite genome to the now modern Palestinians. We didn't just show up 1300 years ago, as you've suggested.
    Thanks, again.

Good points, but please don't demonize the American Old South. Lincoln was the occupying aggressor using isolated cases of slave oppression to condemn the entire culture. His only goal was "to preserve the union" to protect his tax base. Delorenzo's 3-part series on The Real Lincoln explains this in great detail. Discrimination of the Black Codes in the Northern States prior to 1860 was far worse than in the South. "The Slave Narratives" compiled by journalists under Franklin Delano Roosevelt reveal that 90% of former slaves longed for life in the Old South prior to the Civil War. Some 15,000 books falsely glorify the martyred Lincoln
Between 3000 and 4000 blacks actually owned slaves themselves. The owners of all the slave ships in the triangular trade were all members of a certain small religious sect which shall not be named operating out of New England. They are never metioned let alone held accountable. All of the black slaves were captured and sold by other black slave traders. Only 3% of slaves ended up in America - most were sold in S. America and the Carribean under much harher conditions. Lincoln's "scorched earth" policy against women, children, and faithful slaves when the war was all but won prefigured the Union slaughter of the plains indians and the Total War of WW1 & WW2. The Old South was actually one of the last bastions of resistance against this global tyranny.

God bless you. In America, the John Nelson Darby idolatry introduced in the 1800's is very strong and even cult-like in that they pick teachers and aren't allowed to question their beliefs about what they are told "Israel" is.
Seldom will a Dispensationalist allow himself to look at the Bible for himself, which is what Protestants and the Reformers accused the Roman Catholic church of old about.
Now they are doing the same.
While I may not agree with the violence of some 'free Palestine' protestors in the US,
it did cause me to research for myself to see what folks were so upset about.
Then I came across Christian Palestinians telling the other side of the story that I never would have heard in an American church pew.
(there are many accounts of it on RUclips too)
Christians should be brokering peace, not war.
Christians should be against stealing land (thou shalt not steal?).
I've seen videos of Christians say that Christian Palestinians must leave their land because it belongs to the modern secular state of Israel.
There was a Protestant Reformation to remove idolatry from the Church in the past.
I believe we need another 99 thesis (a Martin Luther reference) in the Protestant churches of America today on this issue.

Rom 11:2 God has not rejected his people whom he foreknew. Excellent. Some churches and organizations are starting to recognize modern Israel as committing apartheid against Palestinians. My understanding is that Israeli "settlers" are still forcing Palestinians out of the land today, and that this is being funded in part by American Christians. The return comes first, then the cleansing. This is already in progress, as there are now estimated to be over 30 thousand Messianic Jews in Israel, and many more still in the diaspora. Romans 11:5 speaks of Paul's day, and he is speaking about BELIEVING Jews who have by faith come to Jesus Christ.
That's why he uses the example he does in Romans 11:2-4. There were still a BELIEVING and faithful remnant in Elijah's day; and Paul was a living example of that (during Paul's day). When God acknowledges a remnant, He often is pointing out the few that are faithful/in faith, not unbelief.
Also, there are often delays in God's working; His timetable is not ours, I agree. But the delay (in Ezekiel) was after God did bring back His people from exile, the fullness of His promise didn't come until Messiah came, and the Church dawned during Pentecost out of every nation under heaven. (Acts 2:5)
The mistake your making is thinking there is any Jew/Gentile distinction for those believers in Christ Jesus. Saying "Messianic Believers" in the modern State of Israel is a fulfillment of prophecy is just nonsense. It's not Scriptural.
We should rejoice when any lost comes to faith in Christ Jesus. What I can't rejoice in is a false understanding of who God's people are, and making the Scripture say something it doesn't.

I'm very happy I found this channel, cause most is just head and feet with this idolatry almost to this discussed State of Israel...so my issue is- I have no clue or these ppl in this state today has anything to do with the ones who were there in Jesus Christ times at least.... that in itself is controversial,- how exactly one determines to be of this Biblical tribe ( one of 12) ??? If it was through following specific religion - then anyone ( like Askenazi) could convert to it ( as in all different religions - white person can be become follower of Hinduism and Chinese person can be follower of Christ or Muhammad), and we have some historical records that ppl were converting from one religion to the other for political reasons etc...then if this is religious status and not purely ethnic, then only religious ppl should call themselves Jews and we know it's not the case, all this is very confusing in fact and I suspect it's suppose to be confusing... Another thing - it's mind-blowing how most American Christians support this religious group - which is in total opposition to their own !!! These people knew OT - all prophecies - and are still rejecting Christ, but that's not only rejection - it's often calling Christian pagans, gentiles, goyem, cattle etc ( from their own mouth) and this is totally ignored by christians...for them - we're abomination, we're deceived ones which should just acknowledge their supremacy and finish with heresy... but whole Christian world seems to just ignore it! Christians clapping hands when "Judeo-Christian" is in one sentence - as totally being put together with ones who actively hate their guts , their ( our) God Jesus Christ....
It's very much mind-blowing how under carpet this all big issue is...

Amo 9:15 I will plant them on their land, and they shall never again be uprooted out of the land that I have given them,” says the LORD your God.

Zec 14:3 Then the LORD will go out and fight against those nations as when he fights on a day of battle.
Zec 14:4 On that day his feet shall stand on the Mount of Olives that lies before Jerusalem on the east, and the Mount of Olives shall be split in two from east to west by a very wide valley, so that one half of the Mount shall move northward, and the other half southward.

The promises of God unto Israel in ancient times were always conditional, resting upon their faithfulness. Jerusalem is often used as a synonym for the people of God. The plundering of them is also spoken of in Revelation 13 when the beast persecutes those who are in Christ and he kills many. This will happen worldwide, just as the scripture states.

    • @CryoftheProphet
      @CryoftheProphet 9 месяцев назад

@@Daniel12.4Ministry the promises made to Abraham were not conditional. There is an entire age to come with Christ fulfilling the role of King over the earth, reigning from Jerusalem, a time when men will no longer train for war, when the Jews will be gathered to Israel from the 4 corners of the earth, to serve Christ. That must happen, or the prophets Isaiah, Zechariah, are all liars. Their prophecies contain events that have never occurred in history, and while the Jews would reject Christ, this was part of Gods plan for salvation, Christ would through Israel’s rejection be a light to the Gentiles, but that in no way eliminates or does away with the promises to Israel, which culminate in Israel’s redemption through Christ in the age to come, which has absolutely no bearing on the promises to the Church.
Paul literally addresses this in Romans 11 verbatim.
It’s bizarre to me that Christian’s of all people would believe that Christ is going to return, but make the same mistakes the Jews did and completely write off the the utter magnitude of yet to be fulfilled prophecies given by the prophets themselves.
Once Christians get over their exclusivity and understand how Grace works, meaning you can’t do anything to earn it, the faster they will understand why there is an entire messianic age to come after Christ returns.
Revelation 20 even literally gives the timeline.

I usually enjoy Steve's teachings, but I feel he really missed some things here.
#1. Israel (talking about the historic people, not the modern nation) is not only Israel when obedient. Israel only receives the blessings of the covenant when obedient, but she does not cease to be Israel when wayward. The contingent aspect is about receiving the blessings of the covenant. In fact, the Torah and the prophets are clear that God will have mercy when Israel repents. How can Israel repent if she stopped being Israel as soon as she went astray? Moreover, receiving the curses of the covenant (which God also promised) shows that Israel is something more than just a faithful people. Israel is a physical people - not all are Jews (as Gregg points out), but Israel is a physical community that is part of the historic flow from Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. I don't know how he missed such an obvious point. God sent judges when Israel repented, He didn't say "sorry, you're not Israel anymore, just meld in with the Canaanites." God also sent prophets, and the message wasn't, "only the elect are Israel," but "Israel, you are an unfaithful bride, turn back to your husband."
#2. Steve contextualizes Arabic terrorism - he's against all terrorism, but seems to think Arab terrorism is a little more understandable because of the historical context. Meanwhile, he TOTALLY ignores the context of Jewish terrorism (which no longer exists - he should have made that clear). They were coming out of the death chambers of the Holocaust, living under the British rule who sent desperate Jews in ships back out to sea to die rather than allowing then to land in Palestine, and living amongst Arabs who were often hostile (and sided with the Nazis, by the way). When you contextualize Arab terror and don't contextualize the desperate plight of some Jews who did, unfortunately, commit acts of terror - one gets the impression that the Jews were simply bloodthirsty. Moreover, equivocating on whether Jewish or Arab terror has killed more people is just ridiculous. There is no comparison.
#3. He made it sound as if Jews took over an Arab state and indiscriminately forced Arabs out of their homes. This is not, at least for the most part, the case. There was no Arab state over Palestine. It went from Ottoman rule to British rule. The Arabs drained no swamps, irrigated no deserts, created little infrastructure, and had no central government or official nation. Israel was established as a democracy in which Jews and Arabs could (and still do) live, work, and vote equally. Unlike the many Arab states who expelled almost all of their Jews, Arabs were invited to stay and be a part of the society.
#4. Despite the fact that there are more Arab Christians than Messianic Jews (which makes sense, since Arabs vastly outnumber Jews), Christians would find themselves in a much more tolerant society in Israel than in perhaps any mideast Arab nation. Would you rather be a Christian in Gaza or Ramallah than Jerusalem? God forbid.
Israel is not a perfect society, and I agree with Gregg in regards to the dangers of dispensationalism and a love for Israel that seems, in some Christian circles, to equate it with the kingdom of God (which it most definitely is not). However, this unbalanced video can only add to the growing antisemitism that the world is now seeing as well as rekindle the antisemitic embers of Christianity's shameful past in regards to the Jew (which Gregg does not mention). Gregg normally seems so careful in his teachings, I don't know what happened here.
    From Israel's Declaration of Independence:
THE STATE OF ISRAEL will be open for Jewish immigration and for the Ingathering of the Exiles; it will foster the development of the country for the benefit of all its inhabitants; it will be based on freedom, justice and peace as envisaged by the prophets of Israel; it will ensure complete equality of social and political rights to all its inhabitants irrespective of religion, race or sex; it will guarantee freedom of religion, conscience, language, education and culture; it will safeguard the Holy Places of all religions; and it will be faithful to the principles of the Charter of the United Nations.
WE APPEAL - in the very midst of the onslaught launched against us now for months - to the Arab inhabitants of the State of Israel to preserve peace and participate in the upbuilding of the State on the basis of full and equal citizenship and due representation in all its provisional and permanent institutions.

    • @robertdavidson9674
      @robertdavidson9674 7 месяцев назад +1

That's a great question and something I've often wondered about too. An example is the recognition of some dispensationalists that the great tribulation of Matthew 24:21 and the flight of Christian Jews from Jerusalem in the preceding verses was partially fulfilled in 70 a.d., but what happened in 70 a.d. could not possibly have risen to the level of their imagined Great Tribulation yet to come.
They have manufactured the double-fillment even though Jesus stated quite clearly in Matthew 24:21 that there would never be another future Great Tribulation. They want to have their escatological cake and eat it also.
There are various "types" in the Old Testament that are perhaps confused or mislabeled "dual fulfillment."

Chiliasm was the teaching taught in the early church. None of the assemblies thought that they would be delivered in of their own right as " the church" and saw that salvation of the churches would be through the reestablishment of the covenant with Israel and its land (Revelation 7:4-10) and (Revelation 14:1-6). They saw no salvation within a normal life in the Roman empire especially as they were being persecuted. Its amazing that when Constantine legalized the faith of Christianity, anathemas toward anytype of Jewish reflection of the faith emerged.
I do not agree, there is an expressed covenant to Jews in general (and every Jewish generation is given the chance to see the Jesus (in His ministry in 27 AD to 30 AD) as The Messiah. They are still under a promise but if they reject the newer covenant in Christ, then yeah, they will be rejected. To be honest, the Native Americans were treated horribly btw and many missionaries didn't like Andrew Jackson's policies toward the Native Americans.

i have to say, i don't really see the relevance of this mostly geopolitical teaching, especially since he admits he's not knowledgeable enough on the topic. as for prophecy, i think the Bible does say that Israel must exist, Amo 9:14-15, Zech 14:2-4. Jesus said they won't see Him again until they say "blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord"; so who will say that if they don't exist as a nation again? i don't see that Israel is a big issue for american christians; plenty of evil exists in the US for the church to address. so i'm suspicious that this is a subtle way to seed replacement theology

Proof out of the New Testament the Israel is unique in the God's plan
    Romans 11
11 I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy.
12 Now if the fall of them be the riches of the world, and the diminishing of them the riches of the Gentiles; how much more their fulness?
13 For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office:
14 If by any means I may provoke to emulation them which are my flesh, and might save some of them.
15 For if the casting away of them be the reconciling of the world, what shall the receiving of them be, but life from the dead?
16 For if the firstfruit be holy, the lump is also holy: and if the root be holy, so are the branches.
    17 And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert grafted in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree;
18 Boast not against the branches. But if thou boast, thou bearest not the root, but the root thee.
19 Thou wilt say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be grafted in.
20 Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear:
21 For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee.
22 Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.
23 And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be grafted in: for God is able to graft them in again.
24 For if thou wert cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and wert grafted contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these, which be the natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree?

It seemed like you were going to imply it's not a miracle Israel became a nation because people wanted that so they made that happen. Well Jesus riding a colt was the disciples getting a colt to fulfill the prophecy. So, they made that happen, it doesn't count.
    Luke 21:24
    English Standard Version
24 They will fall by the edge of the sword and be led captive among all nations, and Jerusalem will be trampled underfoot by the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.
    Romans 11:25
25 Lest you be wise in your own sight, I do not want you to be unaware of this mystery, brothers:[a] a partial hardening has come upon Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in.
    Zechariah 12:10-13:1
    English Standard Version
    Him Whom They Have Pierced
10 “And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and pleas for mercy, so that, when they look on me, on him whom they have pierced, they shall mourn for him, as one mourns for an only child, and weep bitterly over him, as one weeps over a firstborn.
13 “On that day there shall be a fountain opened for the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, to cleanse them from sin and uncleanness.
The fact the Jews were just in the holocaust and 6 million were killed and then they get Israel back. Clearly Satan was trying to stop God's plan. Lastly even Jews are waiting for all the people to gather back to the nation and have their messiah.

    Ezekiel 36:22
22 Therefore say unto the house of Israel, thus saith the Lord God; I do not this for your sakes, O house of Israel, but for mine holy name's sake, which ye have profaned among the heathen, whither ye went.
23 And I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am the Lord, saith the Lord God, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes.
24 For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land.
25 Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.
26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.
27 And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.
28 And ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.
29 I will also save you from all your uncleannesses: and I will call for the corn, and will increase it, and lay no famine upon you.
30 And I will multiply the fruit of the tree, and the increase of the field, that ye shall receive no more reproach of famine among the heathen.
31 Then shall ye remember your own evil ways, and your doings that were not good, and shall lothe yourselves in your own sight for your iniquities and for your abominations.
32 Not for your sakes do I this, saith the Lord God, be it known unto you: be ashamed and confounded for your own ways, O house of Israel.
33 Thus saith the Lord God; In the day that I shall have cleansed you from all your iniquities I will also cause you to dwell in the cities, and the wastes shall be builded.
34 And the desolate land shall be tilled, whereas it lay desolate in the sight of all that passed by.
35 And they shall say, This land that was desolate is become like the garden of Eden; and the waste and desolate and ruined cities are become fenced, and are inhabited.
36 Then the heathen that are left round about you shall know that I the Lord build the ruined places, and plant that that was desolate: I the Lord have spoken it, and I will do it.
37 Thus saith the Lord God; I will yet for this be enquired of by the house of Israel, to do it for them; I will increase them with men like a flock.

@@SteveGreggVideos Here is what I wrote (Shabbat with Josh is my other channel). I would love to know how Steve would respond. I am a Messianic Jewish rabbi and would be open to talking with Steve on his show if he likes. Thanks. Here (with a few corrections, is what I wrote).
Meanwhile, he TOTALLY ignores the context of Jewish terrorism (which no longer exists in any organized fashion - he should have made that clear). They were coming out of the death chambers of the Holocaust, living under the British rule who sent desperate Jews in ships back out to sea to die rather than allowing them to land in Palestine, and living amongst Arabs who were often hostile (and sided with the Nazis, by the way). Name one Jewish organization that is on the government's list of terrorist organizations.
Moreover, the expelling of Jewish from Arab lands brought many more Jews to Israel, bolstering Israel as a Jewish state demographically.
However, this unbalanced video can only add to the growing antisemitism that the world is now seeing, as well as rekindle the antisemitic embers of Christianity's shameful past in regards to the Jew (which Gregg does not mention).

Isaiah 11:11 It shall come to pass in that day
That the Lord shall set His hand again the second time
To recover the remnant of His people who are left,
    From Assyria and Egypt,
    From Pathros and Cush,
    From Elam and Shinar,
From Hamath and the islands of the sea. God promised to return the people of Israel a second time from the nations. The first time was after the 70 year captivity. The second time happened in 1948 in fulfillment of God's promise. Jesus said in Matt 21:43 Therefore I say to you the kingdom of God will be taken from you (Israel) and given to a nation bearing the fruit of it (the Gentiles) because of their (Israel's) rejection of Him. Yet Romans 11 the whole chapter explains that because of Israel's fall the gentiles of the church have been grafted into the olive tree. He also explains that the natural branches of the Jewish people can be grafted back in if they believe in Christ. Rom 11:25 says blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles have come in. So there is a promise of an unblinding of Israel at the end of the time of the Gentiles. Daniel 9:24 Seventy weeks (sevens) are determined
For your people (Israel) and for your holy city,
    To finish the transgression,
To make an end of sins,
    To make reconciliation for iniquity,
    To bring in everlasting righteousness,
To seal up vision and prophecy,
And to anoint the Most Holy.
    25“Know therefore and understand,
That from the going forth of the command
    To restore and build Jerusalem
    Until Messiah the Prince,
    There shall be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks;
The street shall be built again, and the wall,
    Even in troublesome times.
    26“And after the sixty-two weeks
Messiah shall be cut off, but not for Himself; (Messiah will be killed for their sins, not His own)
And the people of the prince who is to come (Rome)
Shall destroy the city and the sanctuary.
The end of it shall be with a flood,
And till the end of the war desolations are determined.
27 Then he (antichrist) shall confirm a covenant with many for one week; (one seven year period)
But in the middle of the week
He (antichrist) shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering.
And on the wing of abominations shall be one who makes desolate,
Even until the consummation, which is determined,
Is poured out on the desolate.” The Bible also teaches us that before that unblinding, Israel receives the false messiah or antichrist by making a covenant with him for a seven year period but halfway through he turns on them. The abomination that makes desolate is set up and he turns to slaughter the Jews. This last three and a half year period begins the great tribulation, or the time of Jacobs trouble. All of this is necessary to purify Israel from their sin and rejection of Jesus as their Messiah. Those who remain after a second Holocaust (Zech 13:8 says 1/3 survive), these call upon Jesus and He comes and fights for them. All this to say that yes God has laid out a clear and distinct plan for Israel that is separate and distinct from the church. It is He who returned them to their land according to His promise. Anyone who tries to take it from them does not fight against mere men, but against God. For the Christian, Romans 11:28 says Concerning the gospel they (Israel) are enemies for your sake, but concerning the election they are beloved for the sake of the fathers.
29 For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable. Though they are yet in unbelief, we are called to love them because of the fathers sake (Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob). And it says that the promises made to fathers by God are irrevocable. In Romans 11:18 we are told not to boast ourselves against the natural branches. God was not pleased with Israel because of their scorn for the Gentiles, now Gentiles, do not turn and be guilty of the same thing by scorning Israel for being temporarily cut off, but seek that they may come to belief and be grafted back in. That should be our heart and prayer for Israel.

    • @paulhovan5466
      @paulhovan5466 8 месяцев назад

@@SteveGreggVideos Well, to start with, it is not the Messiah in verse 26. The Messiah keeps his covenants, he does not break them. Who is a covenant breaker except the lawless one, the man of sin. What clues us in to his identity? How long is the covenant that (he) makes? For one seven. That is one seven year period. When does (he) break the covenant? In the middle of the week or after 3 1/2 years. It says (he) brings an end to sacrifice and offering and on the wing of abominations shall (he) be one who makes desolate. That is, (he) sets up the abomination of desolation. Even until the consummation, which is determined. Is poured out on the desolate. This (he) is the beast or antichrist. It says that the desolate gets consumed. I believe that is also speaking of the same person, which I will get to. Matt 24 verse 1-14 Jesus warns- see that no one deceives you, he warns them about false christs. Antichrist is really a false Christ. Verse 15 Jesus says, therefore when you see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet standing in the holy place (let the reader understand) then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. So where is the abomination of desolation in Daniel that Jesus speaks of ? Jesus is speaking of Daniel 9:27. Jesus goes on to say in Matt 24:21 after that there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. This is the second half of that seven year period called the great tribulation. Listen to the scope of that tribulation. He says nothing like it has ever happened before, not will anything like it ever happen again. How bad is it? Jesus goes on to say, in Matt 24:22 unless those days had been shortened, no flesh would be saved. He's saying that almost everyone dies in that tribulation, few are left. Ask yourself has anything in history like that happened before? I say no. For those who say that happened in 70AD, yes in Israel many died but it was just a foreshadowing of what happens in revelation. The scope is bigger than than Judea, it is the whole world that is in view. Jesus says it will never happen again. I would make the argument that more people died in WW1 and WW2 than in Judea in 70AD. Jesus said, nothing like it would ever happen again. Again, I would argue that Jesus is talking yet future, a greater conflict than happened in WW1 and WW2. Lets go to Revelation 13 it speaks of the beast rising out of the sea, first, as an empire, speaking of seven heads and ten horns. Horns in scripture speak of rulers ( in the visions in Daniel it clearly speaks of horns representing rulers). It then says that the dragon gave (him) his power and throne and great authority. 13:5 (he) was given a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies, and (he) was given authority to continue for forty two months. How long is forty two months, it's 3 1/2 years. Oh interesting the beast reigns for 3 1/2 years just like the (he) in Dan 9:27. After (he) sets up the abomination of desolation. What is described in Revelation 13-15 is the great tribulation that leads to Armageddon 15:16. You see the wrath of God being poured out in Rev 14. Then in Rev 19:20 you see the beast and the false prophet being thrown alive into the lake of fire to be consumed. Lets look at 2 Thess 2. It describes the man of sin or son of perdition. Verse 4 says (he) exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshipped, so that (he) sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that (he) is God. That is the abomination of desolation. 2Thess 2:8 goes on to say that the lawless one who is to be revealed, the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness His coming. The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders and with unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. Again this is the lawless one the son of perdition indwelt by Satan. The only other person in scripture that called the son of perdition was Judas who a false representative of Christ whom Satan entered. Antichrist is a false Christ whom Satan enters and is later consumed by the appearance of the true Christ. The antichrist is the (he) of Daniel 9:27.

This video teaches that the return of the Jews back to their land is talking about thier return from Babylon. Yes, there was a return from Babylon, but what about the return from the all the nations where they were scattered after 70 AD. Scripture mentions TWO returns:
Isa 11:11 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set his hand AGAIN the second time to recover the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea.
Isa 11:12 And he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.
So the modern nation of Israel, with more Jews living there than at the time of Jesus or any time in the past is the second regathering with over 7 million Jews living there now and growing.

The second return is actually the institution of the new covenant and bringing in of the Gentiles, not to the physical land, but to God:
      John 10: 16
And I have other sheep that are not of this fold. I must bring them also, and they will listen to my voice. So there will be one flock, one shepherd.
      John 11: 49-52
But one of them, Caiaphas, who was high priest that year, said to them, “You know nothing at all. Nor do you understand that it is better for you that one man should die for the people, not that the whole nation should perish.” He did not say this of his own accord, but being high priest that year he prophesied that Jesus would die for the nation, and not for the nation only, but also to gather into one the children of God who are scattered abroad.

Eze 11:19 And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them an heart of flesh: At this point the New Covenant is given only to the Jews.

Gentiles, the wild branch, are now grafted into the natural branch, Israel: Rom 11:17 And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert graffed in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree; So you are correct, Gentiles are brought into the New Covenant, and as Paul says we share in the blessings of the Messiah,
Rom 15:27 It hath pleased them verily; and their debtors they are. For if the Gentiles have been made partakers of their spiritual things,....we share in the spiritual aspects, ie, Christ, salvation, redemption of the body, but in addition, Jews get the Land. So the first return was about the Jews returning to the land from Babylon, and there is no reason to think that the second return is not about the Jews returning to the land from the nations where they have been scattered after 70 AD, which is still an ongoing process as almost half the Jews in the world now live in Israel.

@@ricoyochanan your entire framework is built on this notion that the people of God are divided... that's false. The Church is made up of BELIEVING Jew and Gentile.
The other wrong notion is that God (even in times of exile and judgement) operates with people that have NO faith. That's also false. God often will work through a remnant (small amount), but yet with faith...the modern nation of Israel has no prophetic significance, no covenant to claim (they deny Christ Jesus), they reject how to find the New Covenant. What about Abraham you say? Read Galatians 3, it's clear to be pleasing to the LORD one must embrace the fulfillment of that promise, which had EVERYTHING to do with Christ Jesus (The Seed).

@@TheCableStrain I never said the people of God are divided, that's your statement. We are all, Jew and Gentile believer, one in Christ. But we have different purposes in God's plan. Gal 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are ALL ONE in Christ Jesus. Being one in Christ doesn't mean the male stops being a male, and the female stops being a female. Their roles continue, so the same is for Israel, the Jews don't stop being Jews just because they believe in Christ. 75 years ago, it is estimated there were less that 100 Messianic believers in Israel. Now it is estimated there are over 30,000 believers, so it is not for you to say God doesn't work in an unbelieving nation. Rom 11:1 I say then, Hath God cast away his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin.
Rom 11:2 God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew. Continuing.....Rom 11:15 For if the casting away of them be the reconciling of the world, what shall the receiving of them be, but life from the dead? Rom 11:23 And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be graffed in: for God is able to graff them in again. So you may have given up on the Jews, but not God; Rom 11:25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. I agree Steve, Israel possession of the land might not be prophetic… But as a gentile nation thru history the one stronger is the one that posses the land, Israel had powerful friends, they fought a war they kill and where killed. But they triumphed over the Arab coalition, that is the way civilization behaved thru history. God himself expelled gentile nations by force and battles to give possession to his people in those lands. I do not see any diff here, at least Israel is a solid nation determined to survive and they will. Not like the western world that is determined to destroy themselves. After all the enemies of God are already under His wrath.

Actually sir, the Jews being in possession of their ancient homeland is quite prophetic and a miracle. Eze 36:28 You shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers, and you shall be my people, and I will be your God. Paul tells us that the Jews are in part blinded, so we shouldn't expect them to be believers yet, especially in light of their being persecuted by the churches for the last 2000 years.
Rom 11:25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. The next phase of this return will produce many Messianic believers: Eze 36:25 Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you. God makes it clear that He is not putting the Jews back into possession of their land because of their piety, but rather because of his great Name to fulfill the promise to Abraham: Gen 17:8 Eze 36:22 Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; I do not this for your sakes, O house of Israel, but for mine holy name's sake, which ye have profaned among the heathen, whither ye went. Muslims do not hate the Jews or Children of Israel. The fact that Jews or Children of Israel are addressed directly so often in the Qur'an should tell us something. Allah wants to address Jews, to give them dawah [the message], to give them the Qur'an, instead of having stereotypes about them. Islam doesn’t allow stereotypes. Everyone is equal in the eyes of Allah, and the only thing that makes some people better than others is Taqwa [faith/belief].
In the Bible, Joshua 21:43-44 states:
“So the Lord gave to Israel all the land of which He had sworn to give to their fathers, and they took possession of it and dwelt in it. The Lord gave them rest all around, according to all that He had sworn to their fathers. And not a man of all their enemies stood against them; the Lord delivered all their enemies into their hand. Not a word failed of any good thing which the Lord had spoken to the house of Israel. All came to pass”.
This passage suggests that the Israelites had already taken possession of all the land that God had promised to their forefathers even before the creation of modern State of Israel.
The promise of land belonging to the Children of Israel is never permanent. It comes with conditions:
“Surely, following the ˹heavenly˺ Record, We decreed in the Scriptures: “My righteous servants shall inherit the land.” (Qur'an 21:105)
Psalm 37:29 states that “The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein for ever”. This passage is often interpreted as a promise of God’s blessing for those who live righteously. It is believed that the righteous will be rewarded with a place in the land of Israel, which is often referred to as the “promised land”.
Similarly, G-d is sovereign over the nations and history. He raises up and brings down kings and empires according to His will. He uses human agents, even pagan ones, to accomplish His purposes. He is the Lord of hosts, who controls the armies of heaven and earth (Jeremiah 1:15; 25:9; 27:5-7; 32:17)
If Zionists claim that G-d had given the land of Palestine to the Jews is true, then why Abraham had to negotiate with the Hittites to purchase a burial plot for his wife, Sarah [Genesis 23]? Why didn't Abraham just take the land like the Zionists did? The so-called "promised land" was given to descendant of Abraham - Isaac only. Likewise, descendants of Ishmael never lay claim to land of Arabia! In addition, Moses and his followers did not enter the "promised" land due to their disobedience.
    Qur'an 7:128 states:
Said Moses to his people, “Seek help through Allah and be patient. Indeed, the earth belongs to Allah. He causes to inherit it whom He wills of His servants. And the [best] outcome is for the righteous.”
Jews are no longer G-d chosen people. The Israelites did not keep their part of the covenant. Here is the evidence:
    Jeremiah 31:31-34:
“Behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah, not like the covenant that I made with their fathers on the day when I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, my covenant that they broke, though I was their husband, declares the Lord. For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the Lord: I will put my law within them, and I will write it on their hearts. And I will be their God, and they shall be my people. And no longer shall each one teach his neighbor and each his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest, declares the Lord. For I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.”
It had already been prophesized in the Bible that the descendants of Ishmael/Arabs shall administer the Temple Mount/Jerusalem.
    Isaiah 60:7
"All the flocks of Kedar shall be gathered together unto thee, the rams of Nebaioth shall minister unto thee: they shall come up with acceptance on mine altar, and I will glorify the house of my glory."
All the flocks of Kedar - On the word 'Kedar,' see the notes at Isaiah 21:16. The Kedarenians were a wandering tribe that frequently changed their residence, though it is probable they usually dwelt in the south part of Arabia Desert, or the north of Arabia Petraea. They are mentioned as dwelling in beautiful tents Sol 1:5 : 'I am black, but comely as the tents of Kedar,' see Psalm 120:5; compare Isaiah 21:16-17; Isaiah 42:11. The language here also means that that which constituted their principal wealth would come and enrich Jerusalem.
The rams of Nebaioth - Nebaioth was also a son of Ishmael Genesis 25:13; 1 Chronicles 1:29, and was the father of the Nabatheans. They were a people of Arabia Petraea, and lived principally by plunder, trade, and the keeping of flocks. The country of Nabathea extended, it is supposed, from the Euphrates to the Red Sea, and embraced Petra, the capital of Arabia Deserts, and also Medaba. It is not possible, however, to fix the exact boundaries of the various tribes of Arabians. The general idea is, that their most valuable possessions would be devoted to God.
The second Temple had been completely destroyed as predicted by Jesus in Luke 21:5-38. For 500 years or more, it had been left in ruins by the Jews. When Umar Ibn al-Khattab, the second caliph of Islam, captured Jerusalem in 638 CE, there was not a single Jew in Jerusalem. Now, as prophesized by Isaiah, Jerusalem is administered by descendants of Ishmael/Arabs.
Dome of the Rock is the Third Temple. There are some interpretations of the Bible that suggest that the construction of the Dome of the Rock is prophesied in the Book of Daniel. Specifically, some people believe that Daniel 12:11 is a prophecy about the building of the Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem. "And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days." [Daniel 12:11]
Rabbi Isser Weisberg of Machon Mishne Torah in Lakewood, explained that the “appalling abomination” spoken about in the Book of Daniel is the Dome of the Rock on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, which was completed in the year 692. Counting 1290 (a thousand two hundred and ninety) years from the completion of the Dome of the Rock “you get 1982 and the 1335 (one thousand three hundred and thirty-five) ends in 2027. So that’s the window (1982-2027) when the Moshiach has to come.”
This may confirmed the Qur'anic message. In Qur'an 17:104 says "And We said to the Children of Israel after Pharaoh, “Reside in the land, but when the promise of the Hereafter comes to pass, We will bring you all together.” The modern state of Israel was promised by British and its allies and not by G-d. In ancient Israel, G-d had prepared Moses for 80 years to lead His people Israel. 1948+80= 2028 may be the complete systematic dismantling of the modern state of Israel by God All-mighty.
It is a heresy/unholy to think that Jews shall administer Temple Mount/Jerusalem as it had been clear in the Holy scripture that descendants of Ishmael/Arabs had been ordained by G-d to administer Jerusalem/Temple Mount.
In Hebrew Bible, Devarim 32:17 reads as follows:
"They sacrificed to demons, not God, to gods they had not known, new gods that had come recently, whom your ancestors had not feared".
The medieval commentator Ibn Ezra suggested that the “new gods” mentioned in this verse were actually the gods of foreign nations that the Israelites had come into contact with.

"new gods" is today's Zionism. Zionism is a nationalist movement that emerged in the 19th century to enable the establishment of a homeland for the Jewish people in Palestine. The movement initially emerged in Central and Eastern Europe as a national revival movement in the late 19th century, both in reaction to newer waves of antisemitism and as a consequence of Haskalah, or Jewish Enlightenment. Since the establishment of Israel, Zionism became an ideology that supports “the development and protection of the State of Israel”.
One cannot deny that the conflicts in the middle-east is caused by the Zionism movement and the violations of the 3 Oaths made by the Jews found in the Talmud (Song of Songs 2:7, 3:5, 8:4):
    The Oaths:
First Oath: Israel should not ascend to the land in a wall (i.e., en masse or forcefully).
Second Oath: The Holy One adjured Israel not to rebel against the nations of the world.
Third Oath: The Holy One adjured the nations not to oppress Israel excessively.
Jews worldwide are now paying the price for the violations of the 3 Oaths
Zionism ("new gods") is only around 100 years old. It is the transformation from religion to nationalism, to materialism created by non-religious Jews who hated their religion. The reason why they use the name Israel, the Star of David, hijacking, stealing the identity of Judaism and the Jewish people is in order to gain a legitimacy for their existence that should lead people to say, 'oh, it is God given to them' and that they should use fear and intimidate people from speaking out against their actions because they will call those that do anti Semitic; it couldn't be anything further from the Truth.
    Leviticus 26:18
“And if ye will not yet for all this hearken unto me, then I will punish you seven times more for your sins.”
    Qur'an 62:5
"The example of those who were entrusted with the Torah and then did not take it on is like that of a donkey who carries volumes [of books]. Wretched is the example of the people who deny the signs of Allah. And Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people."

@@susanbrooks4997 The strength of the New Covenant is not in that it was purged in blood (Hebrews 9:22), but in that God made the covenant with Himself, by two immutable things in which it was impossible for God to lie. Heb 6:13-18. Abraham was ASLEEP! Gen 15.
The Old Mosaic Covenant was conditional on the nation of Israel's promise to "WE WILL DO", Ex 19:8. So, It was conditional to their obedience and thus could be broken through disobedience. If blood had the power, there would not have been a need for another covenant. Heb 10:4: "For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins". The blood of Jesus covers our sins because HE was sinless. Jesus Christ was the HEIR of the Abrahamic Covenant promises, his SEED. Gal 3:16. All the promises of God are Yea and Amen in Christ Jesus. Believers are Co-Heirs with Christ because the church is His Body. Gal 3:29.

First of all, there has never been an ethnicity called Palestinians. These people in Israel were Egyptian, and other Arab and middle Eastern ethnicities, who were nomads with no central government or unified politic. The geographic area of Israel was an undeveloped desert.
