So grateful for this man's faithfulness in the Lord. I started reading scripture in a different way when I noticed Romans 2:28,29 says a person is a Jew when his heart is circumcised, and not according to the flesh. Then as I got into Romans 9-11 I started seeing something entirely different and come to understand the mystery Paul was talking about. The Church is Israel. I was called an amillennialist. Suddenly the the idea of third, and fourth temple started sounding blasphemous as Christ is the final and fulfilling sacrifice once and for all. I was told to look into Steve teachings on these ideas and now I am home. I feel free.

      Millennial Puzzle:
My view of the Millennium agrees with what Paul said in 2 Thess. 1:7-10, when Paul said Christ returns in "flaming fire" taking vengeance on those who do not obey the Gospel. The fire comes at the end of Rev. chapter 20.
My view agrees with what Peter said in 2 Peter 3:10-13, when Peter said this earth is going to burn and "dissolve" when He comes as a thief on the day of the Lord. The fire comes at the end of Rev. chapter 20.
My view agrees with what Paul said in 2 Tim. 4:1, when Paul said both the living and the dead will be judged at His appearing. The time of the judgment of the dead, with reward for some and destruction for others is found in Rev. 11:18, right after the 7th trumpet, which is the last trumpet in the Bible. (This verse also proves the Book of Rev. is not in chronological order.) The judgment of the dead is also found at the end of Rev. chapter 20.
My view agrees with what Jesus said in Matt. 25:31-46, where He described the judgment of the sheep and goats, which leaves no mortals alive on the planet at the end of the passage.
My view agrees with Peter in 2 Pet. 2:4, and Jude in Jude 1:6, when they both said wicked angels are already in chains of darkness.
My view agrees with what John recorded in Rev. 9:1-2, when an angel comes down from heaven with a key to unlock the pit. Are there wicked angels already in the pit in Rev. 9:11? John recorded angels already "bound" in Rev. 9:14. The beast "ascends" out of the pit in Rev. chapter 11, which means the beast was in the pit before that time.
Take all of the above and compare it to the symbolic language found in Rev. chapter 20 and you will have the truth.

But before eternity, the camp of the saints is surrounded. Remember the beast declares war on the remaining ones of the seed. It conquers and kills them. We, who make up a symbolic temple and Jerusalem, will be surrounded and attacked. This is what is meant by Jesus saying, “When you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then flee to the mountains….don’t even return to get your belongings out of your house.” But as we know fire comes down from God and consumes our enemies. This is the judgment. Then comes the age of ages or eternity.

  • @markharris1342
    @markharris1342 6 лет назад +8

In Revelation 20, should we take one thousand years literal?, the answer is no. The other books in the Bible has it not being literal. We need to read scripture in the light of scripture.
Psalm 50:10 For every beast of the forest is mine, And the cattle upon a thousand hills.
Does God own the cows only on a 1000 hills only. Dose he not own the cows in the valley too?
Deuteronomy 5:10 -but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments. Dose this mean that the 1001st generation will not be loved by God? The answer is no. This would not be in GOD's manner.
Psalm 105:8- He remembers his covenant forever, the promise he made, for a thousand generations. Does this mean the 1001st generation are cut off? The answer is no.

Christ was enthroned upon David's THRONE after rising again in resurrection power.
    Daniel 7:13-14
That passage states His reign is everlasting & will not be given to another, ever.
    Read that along with:
    Isaiah 9:7
    Psalm 2
    Psalm 110
He already had "All Authority IN Heaven & ON 🌎 Earth"
    Matthew 28:18
Therefore He's been reigning for approximately 2023 years.
Therefore the 1000 year reign is symbolic of a MUCH longer interval.
1000 in OT speak means "a number, beyond numbering"
And He's ALREADY ON the highest Throne He could be.
    He's not leaving it.
    No need:
He's pouring out His Holy Spirit upon US - every Believer to "be His hands & feet"
In every land, and convert those nations to "serve Him".

This is an interesting subject that a lot of people overlook that the absolute limit to a physical mans lifespan in the bible is 1000 years, with Methuselah the closest one to it. Jesus said that the hour has come where the dead are hearing the Son of Man and are coming to life- John5;25. So the first resurrection is spiritual experienced by Christian believers only ie when you become one. And the second resurrection that everyone will experience with a different fate depending if you're a Christian or not.
So instead of thinking the Millennium as a singular event applying to a collective, but rather applying to each individual.
Christian's life being ruled by Christ while on the Earth in your physical body and during that time Satan is bound in the legal sense that you belong to Christ. When Satan is loosed to put it bluntly, you die, physically of course. So the 1000 years to me represents a Christian's life here on Earth. This to me makes sense of the chapter best, taking out the need to put the 1000 year reign in the future or past, I'm in it now, Christ is my king and He isn't going to rule me. He already does!

    • @andreastarks2780
      @andreastarks2780 Год назад +2

That is such a good perspective I hadn’t thought. With that, 1000 still doesn’t have to be literal for everyone. But it’s a lifetime generally. Something to meditate on with the scripture

    • @Startraxxion
      @Startraxxion Год назад +3

@@andreastarks2780 there are many things, obvious and yet less apparent, that the scriptures describe. Such as the resurrection of our dear Lord Jesus...
How come Mary Magdalene didn't recognise Him at His resurrection??
Why did the disciples say... the knew it was the Lord, but none of them dare ask??
      What is going on here?
When the crim on the cross said, "please remember me when you come into your kingdom." Jesus replied, "today you'll be with Me in paradise."
Jesus wasn't talking about this guy, dying and going to 'heaven' but literally I will be in you, as you will be in Me.
Mary Magdalene was at the cross you know, she saw this guy beside her Lord.
So she knew, when Jesus said "Mary" she knew he was the Lord, but what did she see??, the face of Jesus? Or the face of a crim, who surrendered himself to the living God?? I tell you the truth. When Jesus was resurrected He took the visual form of that said criminal.
Jesus also said He who is first shall be last & he who is last, shall be first.
This crim, was the last convert in Jesus ministry and therefore he became, in Christ, the first among risen from the dead.
We all must do this, if we are to inherit the blessing of eternal life that is only in Christ Jesus.
I kid you not, Jesus is alive in me, and who I was is just a memory.
I hope that this was enlightening, not confusing in that Jesus, literally wants to exist, in reality, through you and me and every repentant sinner, who can see this.
God bless you, in Jesus name, may we live under His awesome majesty and glory, forever and ever amen.

The new heaven and earth, was the new covenant. Also, the word "elements" was not referring to what we consider elements like chemistry but rather the genealogical records and Mosaic teachings that were kept in the temple but were burned up when the temple was destroyed.

I just have so much trouble with 1000 years being simply "a long period of time", perhaps if it was only mentioned once, but within those verses it is mentioned twice. First Satan is bound for 1000 years and then after that 1000 years he will be released. If the Lord meant 1000 metaphorically repeating that exact wording again is strange.
Another problem, a vague period of time IS used... he’ll be released for 'a little while' why wouldn't he then say he will be bound for “a long while”.

I outlined parts of it (King James Bible)
    Paul amillenial:
2 Thessalonians 1:7 And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,
8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
    9 Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;
10 When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day.
Acts 24:14 But this I confess unto thee, that after the way which they call heresy, so worship I the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the law and in the prophets:
15 And have hope toward God, which they themselves also allow, that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust.
Romans 8:18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.
20 For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,
21 Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
    Peter amillenial:
2 Peter 3:7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.
    John amillenial:
John 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
25 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live.
    26 For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself;
27 And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man.
28 Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,
29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.
John 6:39 And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.
40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.
44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.
54 Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.
John 12:48 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.
Revelation 22:3 And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:
    Jesus amillenial:
Matthew 25:27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
28 For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.
29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

Revelation 20:4, "They shall live and reign for a thousand years." Obviously, this is not referring to a reign of Christ, but instead a thousand year reign of martyred souls, as the text actually says. Christ is already reigning here, before, during, and after the thousand years. Also, the first resurrection is that of martyred souls and not a resurrection of bodies. The bodily resurrection comes later in 20:11-15.

Yes, there are many, many interpretations out there. Most churches teach one view and don't even make their congregations aware that their are other views. Or if they do, they'll dismiss the others off-hand without engaging with them. If you put a lot of study into it, or at least look at all the views, you can come to your item conclusion. But you don't have to. God will work it out in his timing. In the meantime, we need to be following Jesus and loving like he did.

However Chilioi is found without sum, found only eight times in entire NT, 6-times in Rev-20, and 2-times in II Peter 3:8. Proper translation of 'Chilioi etee' would be (plural) thousands, (plural) years.

In the bible there are verses that speak of a "new heaven and a new earth" (Isa. 65:17-25, Zech. 14:4-11, Ezek. 36:33-38, et al.) and also "a New Heaven and a New Earth" (Rev.21:1-8). The lower case heaven and earth speaks of the 1000 years of peace, while the capitalized Heaven and Earth speaks of the one God moves onto.
The battle of armageddon precedes the 1000 years of peace, at which he destroys most of the wicked, but as the Bible says, there will be a remnant left (Isa.24:6). The remnant that will grow up during the millennium (Zech. 14:16, Jer. 31:2). They will be the ones that will be ruled by those sitting next to Christ on His Throne (Rev. 2:26, Rev. 3:21)
The OT prophets speak of the new earth having a sun that burns seven times brighter (Isa.30:25,26); which indicates that when the sun expands, the shock wave will cause the great earth shake that will alter the face of planet (Isa. 24:1-23, Nahum 1:2-10, et al.) and it will also change the earth's orbit - giving it a new starry sky/heavens. The intense heat from the brighter sun will be what melts and decimates the contents of the planet (Zeph. 1:2,3, Isa. 10:16-19, Isa. 66:14-16, Micah 5:10-15, et al.). Thereby giving a fertile new ground upon which a new earth can be built up from day 1 (Isa. 32:16-18, Isa. 65:21-24, Ezek. 34:25-31, Micah 3:3,4, et al.).
    ---
I'd find your speech far more compelling and interesting if it were more about supporting the Amillennialist view rather than tearing down other views. It seems your presentation is more about criticisms than construction.
Regardless, our differences should not divide - because in the end, God will set everything straight. One day we will all know the whole plan of God. Thanks for posting your views. :-) Blessings.

Jesus mentions the resurrection of the righteous in Luke 14:14. Also 1 Thessalonians 4:16 says the dead in Christ will rise first to join Jesus in the clouds. Now 1 Thessalonians doesn't mention the resurrection of the wicked. So there is mention of two resurrections besides what is mentioned in Rev 20. I do believe that there are righteous who are raised in the second resurrection. After Death and Hell are thrown in the lake of fire, the dead are judged according to their works. If their name is not in the book of life, they are thrown in the lake of fire. Although it is not mentioned here, one would assume that if your name is in the book you are not thrown in the lake of fire. So I believe there were righteous people being judged in the second resurrection. The first resurrection are those who died martyrs. Not all righteous died as martyrs. They were raised in the second resurrection. This still doesn't explain the timeline. That is still a mystery that I struggle with. And I'm sorry Steve, but your explanation didn't hit home for me.

5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.
6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
The 1st rapture will take place during the great tribulation when Christ (descended at Mt Zion
to defeat the anti-Christ) ... the dead will raise (glorified body as their spirit is alive and the day the body died) and those alive will be caught(glorified) up into the skies...
And reigns the 1000yr wt Christ(not mention where.. in heaven?) at yr 32.12. we hv ... then after this period Satan is released and goes about deceiving all the people who are still on earth... and for final battle.
these are the people subjected to the white throne judgement( no gospel msg) and those early O/T and N/T unbelieving dead will be REsurrected and judged together ....

Isn't it possible that the general resurrection of the just and the unjust is not for the saints? Since the saints are already ruling in heaven with Christ during the millennium (the current church age), where they go immediately after death (first, spiritual resurrection). It's being said about the general resurrection that people will be judged based on their deads, how they treat others, not based on their faith as in the case of the saints. In other words, the saints don't have to go through the second resurrection, they are not under the threat of the second death.

Remember during the Resurrection of the Body of Christ, at the Rapture, that the dead in Christ rise first.
So as you said the Saints (souls) are already in Heaven, but now they are united with their perfected bodies.
The First Resurrection is for the Saints only.
The Lost are of the Second Resurrection to face The Great White Throne Judgement.
It's thought the First Resurrection is in 3 parts.
Reason being is the Jesus was the first to be resurrected, and then also many came out of the graves at that time. This is known as the First Fruits (plural) because of those that came out of the Graves after Jesus.
Remember the parable of the harvest?
      -First fruits
      -Main harvest
      -Gleanings
Next those dead in Christ arise first at the Rapture. That is those of the Church Age,
And finally, the Saints that die during the Tribulation are considered the Gleanings.

Regarding lived with Christ is according to the Bible for a born again, dies in Christ, buried with Christ by baptism, and ressurects and lives with Christ, even if he dies. Why? Because Christ will call the believer out from the sleep of the grave, and give them incorruptible bodies.

  • @theodorjoensen

The Bible is full of references about the remaining were killed by the brightness of his coming, but the resurrected and the translated are taken to meet the Lord in the air to forever be with him. Prophets describe the dead being like dung on the ground, and nobody to bury them. Also that the earth returned to her "abussos" state. Satan is already cast down to earth, and for a thousand years he will be here still, but unable to deceive anyone, because they are ALL dead.
He will be released for a short time, and this happens when "the remaining dead lived not again for a thousand years" and the New Jerusalem with the bride inside is placed by the Lord on earth. Then the deceived will plot to destroy the City. Then the rest of the dead resurected attack again and all are devoured by fire. Then the DEAD stand for judgement, and there it is the judgement against their works. Some will depend on their works, and by own rightiousness knowing the gospel will be judged as disobedient and idolators, while the others will be judged according to their works being ignorant to the gospel, and have no idea what they have done to deserve to live. These will have obeyed God without knowing that they accepted his commandments, but from their concience have obeyed without knowing they obeyed, and Christ has lived in them proven by their obedience. The rightious judge and advocate and high priest clothing them in his rightiousness, while the wicked and proud and selfish, that knew the gospel but thaught they could do better their way, will be cast out. Then the lord makes all things new. I believe these speculations are less speculations than ignoring the coming on the clouds, the two resurections and the final destruction and final judgement. Also the judgement begins with the church, and those parttaking in the first resurrection are immune to the second death, wich happens a thousand years after the first resurrection. Those caught up are those already clothed in the rope of rightiousness, who keep the commandments and have the testimony of Jesus and the faith of Jesus. These will be sealed before the second coming events will start, and probation closes (let him that is rightious be rightious still, let hin that is filthy be filthy still etc) and the earth is harvested where the tares will be burned off and be ashes under the feet of the rightious, that remain to witness the wicked being destroyed alongside them.
Also in the latter battle, people seek death but shall not find it. Because they have been resurrected but are decieved again and await final destruction. Their judgement will also have been determined in the 1000 years the rightious are in the clouds (new jerusalem of heaven) judging the ones remaining for the resurrection of damnation. Their books testify of their works, and the ones on the right will escape the second death and will go in to eternal life.
Old testament is NOT obsolete. It contains lots of details about those events, that revelation reveals. Revelation reveals what is already found in prophesy, but puts the puzzle with the missing pieces on the table, and for us to seek out from the whole bulk of prophesies - thise that speak of Jesus, and to read and understand revelation comes with a special blessing. I believe that blessing may well be an armor against the deceptions culminating with the no buy no sell and following death decree.
Babylon also is the mother of harlots. She has daughters. All churches and all teachings are corrupted because the true wine is mixed with babylonian wine. Many do not reject the babylonian wine, but trust cunningly devised fables by men and doctrines of devils, where off one is the theosoficaly formulated black magic spells of dispensationalism, but there are several more, like forever burning hell and eternal tornenting, infant baptism, immortality of the soul, pagan triune god countless forged bibles and the spells of margine comments from jesuits and other satanic forces.
To find truth, find Gods preserved word. Stay away from babylonian wine and honestly seek truth.
Please take my inputs as put in as goodwill sharing. I believe the same integrity you applied to the dispensationalism, you will be able to apply to my comments here too, and it may give you more light on this subject of revelation. Start by accepting that the old testament prophesies still hold keys to even revelation. You will find the events described in revelation referenced in prophesy as keys to the puzzle. The great and terrible day of the Lord, is not the same as the glorious hope of our resurrection, wich will be a day of joy for all resurrected and translated, while the other will be utter destruction with darknes and fierce anger, to the level of crying and gnashing of teeth vile internal anger on display, and then total destruction. After the earth will roll up like a scroll and be destroyed, and then the eternal kingdom comes with a new earth and a new heaven, and God will be the light of men, and Jesus Christ will be the king of kings forever. The same Jesus the deciples saw dissapear in the clouds. Our savior who gave his own blood to buy us free from sin and to give us his rightiousness undeserved but accepted as a gift by him to whoever believes on God the father and the Son he sent in the flesh Jesus Christ, and by faith accept his gift and him as King and Lord, living in us by his Holy Spirit. Christ in us, the hope of glory.

I realize you don't appreciate differing views, but it is to be a Berean scholarship among believers to go back and search the scriptures. Here is some facts you have missed.
You mention Revelation 12 and the woman travailing in birth before the birth. You say it is the birth of Christ and it puts the chronology of the book out of sink. I differ in this ideal and scripture agrees. Did you read the parent verse in Isiah 66:7, which is the birth of CHRIST. Notice the travailing in the verse is after the birth in 66:7 and the travailing is before the birth in Rev. 12:2. This makes a difference. The scriptures in Rev. 12:2 is the woman being Israel, and the child is the nation of Israel. The tense of the travailing is the identifying factor. It also is the fulfillment of Isiah 66:8 and Micah 5:3. The Travailing is the Holocaust before the birth in Rev. 12:4 and Micah 5:3.
The Rev. 12:1 sign happened on September 23, 2017. You might call it nonsense but HIS WORD says it is a wonder seen in the heavens. What will become of it only the FATHER knows.
Rev. 12 2 Is the pain of the Nation over 1900 years to be reborn with the travailing reaching its peek in 1944.
Now it gets interesting in Verse 3 and the other wonder in the heavens. The dragon is the constellation of the dragon. Its tail is seen both day and night being around the star Polaris (Rev. 12:10 accusing the brethren day and night). Ursa Minor is where the swastika originates from with the "L" shape and the four seasons being sun worship. The connection between Nazi Germany and the dragon beast is in a pact between the Islamic countries and Germany in WWII. The governor of Palestine said to Hitler not to allow Jews to migrate back to Israel but to instead BURN THEM. You might discount the literal view but it is HIS WORD and these are wonders in heaven.
Rev. 12:4 "And his tail (Containing Nazi powers) drew (into camps and ghettos) the third (6 million) of the stars of heaven (Gen. 22:17) and did cast them to earth (Murdered, Dan. 8:10) And the dragon (Islam) stood before the woman (Israel) which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child (new born nation of Israel) as soon as it was born ( war breaks out the day of Israel's birth). Prophecy fulfilled in our time.
You can reject or accept. It is a amazing tool to the unbelieving Jews, having the Holocaust and their birth as a nation, predicted in such detail 1900 years ago.
Rev. 12:5 is the rapture the child, HIS church, HIS body of "The Holy One of Israel"

***** It is not "the source of truth" anymore than any mythology or folk tales are the source of truth - wait a minute - in the myths - basic stories - there is hidden truths - often universal truths of human behavior and motivation ( Our Uncle told us this!) - but myths are in NO WAY the source of facts! Myths, folktales and fables as the Bible offers them are not facts - but more like dreams and passed down stories - they hold truths - but not often real facts - neither of science of history - but they do give a clue to a universal human nature - and they do teach, among other things - what a culture believes in. For example - Lot offers up his daughters to be gained raped by a basically homosexual mob to protect the handsome, angel visitors. That shows the values of hospitality and the low value of woman and daughters in the culture of the very jerks who wrote that part of the Bible - you dumb bunny! The Bible is bad - very bad -

Steve Gregg has done a commendable effort at wrestling with Premillennialism. I however remain convinced that there are two resurrections. One is described in 1 Thessalonians 4 and another in Revelation 20:11-15. Nothing in Scripture suggests that the two are to be construed as one eschatological event. I disagree with Steve Gregg on his articulation.

Finally! Someone who read the Bible and can interpret Rev 20. Yes Satan is loosed now! Why would Christ judge the world, and then bound satan for another 1000 years (there is no literal 1,000 year reign of Christ on earth) only to loose him again? You cannot reasonably justify this position. It makes no sense. It is rapture-tribulation and bowl judgements-followed by Christ return-Final Judgement-New heaven & new earth. Sorry folks but there is no 1,000 year reign.

  • @theodorjoensen
    @theodorjoensen Год назад

I believe you err in your analyse of the souls of those who were beheaded. Here you mix Plato and immortal souls in a predefined filter. The Bible teaches, that man was formed from the dust of the earth, and God blew spirit of life into him, and man became a living soul. Also when the Lord comes on clouds, the first resurrection happens, and those who live are translated, and together with the raised will be gathered to meet the Lord in the air, and thereafter forever be with him - as living souls with immortal bodies and the spirit of life in us = souls.
Also after the 1000 years the New Jerusalem comes down from heaven with the bride inside, and the resurrection of the wicked happens.

    • @theodorjoensen
      @theodorjoensen Год назад

Also, I believe you can not interpret later revelation with proofing the interpretation by what was known before the revelation. Remember, revelation is the revelation God gave the Son, to give his servants, and the angel was assigned to communicate this by visions to John the apostle. It may indicate that the Son got new information here too, because he also told he did not know about the day or hour, but only the Father.

Why try to see a twisted analogy in this scripture when it and its chronology is one of the most clear and easily understood in all of the Bible, let alone Revelation.
There is an obvious purpose to the thousand year reign. It will probably take at that long for Christ to straighten out all the tortured reasoning of religious theologians who have pulled seekers of God in so many wrong directions. And what’s really a shocker is that even after 1000 years living with Christ many of them will still not be able to fully accept the plain truth of what he taught.

    • @OtterFlys
      @OtterFlys Месяц назад

@ I can’t lay out all of them because the way he addressed it he invokes total uncertainty as to what it will mean rather than the plain text of the Bible. The chronology and events are laid out in revelation in exquisitely clear text, compared to many other things in the Bible. For example, he asked the question: is the thousand years a literal thousand years? He points out that in other places it’s just referred to as the reign of Christ. So there is no contradiction with revelation saying that Christ's rain will be 1000 years.. and if it is his reign, of course it happens after he returns. Why would anyone assume otherwise, given the text in the book.
He is creating confusion where there needs to be none unless you want to get into those absurd arguments about pre-post middle and that nonsense. The only 'rapture' is at Christ's return.
Always glad to share my opinion, thanks for asking. I’m always interested in what others think, What is your take on the subject?

    *
Revelation 20:4-6 KJV - (4) And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and [I saw] the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received [his] mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they LIVED AND REIGNED WITH CHRIST A THOUSAND YEARS. (5) But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This [is] the first resurrection. (6) Blessed and holy [is] he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and SHALL REIGN WITH HIM A THOUSAND YEARS.
Isaiah 65:22-24 KJV - (22) They shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat: for AS THE DAYS OF A TREE [ARE] THE DAYS OF MY PEOPLE, and mine elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands. (23) They shall not labour in vain, nor bring forth for trouble; for they [are] the seed of the blessed of the LORD, and their offspring with them. (24) And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.

(3) And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. And it shall come to pass that everyone who is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall go up from year to year to worship the king, the Lord of hosts, and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles. And it shall be that whichever of the families of the earth do not come up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, on them there will be no rain. If the family of Egypt will not come up and enter in, they shall have no rain; they shall receive the plague with which the Lord strikes the nations who do not come up to keep the Feast of Tabernacles. This shall be the punishment of Egypt and the punishment of all the nations that do not come up to keep the Feast of Tabernacles.
In that day "HOLINESS TO THE LORD" shall be engraved on the bells of the horses. The pots in the Lord's house shall be like the bowls before the altar. Yes, every put in Jerusalem and Judah shall be holiness to the Lord of hosts. Everyone who sacrifices shall come and take them and cook in them.
