The way I see it, the Lord spared chuck from seeing it all pan out. I've seen it happen a few times in my lifetime. Rob Skiba is another example of someone taken ahead of his time. It's a blessing that God spares us the turmoil we see coming through decernment.

You know he's watching this all play out... imagine his vantage point where he can see the whole of it from beginning to end, all at once. I think he's smiling because he knows how we are growing and changing, seeking God like never before and he's able to see the real fruit of his ministry in a way he never could while here. I have heard dozens of this man's teachings on youtube, and THOUSANDS of people attack and dismiss him as this or that....but not one time has anyone ever refuted one single dot of what he has said. They come on here and say he's spouting ignorance, but have no response to a single sentence! Classic.
Because they are frightened of the direction that man is moving towards and should be frightened but lack the balls to stand and be counted, like the prophet Daniel. Just as a Green Peace activist told me many years ago. It assumes that any conditions, or at least a wide variety of conditions, which includes a jar of peanut butter, given time and energy will create new life. Nobody, not creationists, not evolutionary scientists think this assumption is true. It's called a straw man argument because it attacks a position that the opponents don't even hold. First of all we have no idea how the first life could have come about. We can speculate on conditions but until we can recreate it in the lab it is only speculation. We can do experiments to form biological molecules from non biological molecules that were probably present on earth and that we see in other stars with conditions that could have been on early earth, but this still isn't life, just possible ingredients for life. Again, the origin of life is not known, but we can still say that life evolved on earth without knowing this. The first life could have arose naturally or maybe there was a god that seeded the first life. However the only way someone would make an argument that evolution is false because we don't find new life in peanut butter is if they are ignorant about what evolution is and what scientists that accept evolution actually think. It's like saying that the idea that water can freeze is disproved because the water in my glass doesn't ever freeze even though sometimes it gets cold enough in my house for me to see my breath. It ignores the fact that specific conditions are necessary for water to freeze, pressure, temperature, ect. Imagine you lived in a world where you couldn't or didn't know how to recreate the conditions to freeze water. Does this mean it doesn't freeze? It's an idiotic and ignorant statement.

Doctors give patients probabilities when they discuss treatments because human physiology is too complex for us to know with absolute certainty what will happen with a given treatment. We are getting better and our confidence in medications and treatments are improving but there still is uncertainty and some diseases are more vague than others. The origin of life is much, much, more vague than any medical treatment and scientists, at least good ones, recognize this. The theory is based on evidence of what early conditions on earth may have been like, and even that evidence is not crystal clear. There have been experiments where under certain conditions(that word certain is important, not in peanut butter) where simple organic compounds like amino acids(important for life) can arise from simpler molecules that could have been present. See all these "could have" and "might" words, this is not an established theory. The theory of evolution does not depend on this. The origin of life can be a complete mystery, which it is, but we still have lots and lots of evidence for evolution, which makes the theory that the biological diversity of life on this planet arose from descent with modification an established theory.

Kind of what he spoke of at the start of the video, I was a struggling Christian listening to KWAVE in Southern California maybe 15 years ago & it seemed all of the programming was about repentance & awareness of sin except for this one show - Chuck’s show - so different than the rest of the programming that the station put a disclaimer before the show started! But I applaud Chuck Smith for having the courage to put it on his own station in the face of the rest of the listeners, maybe even his own congregation. I can’t remember the exact name of the teaching at the time but I think it had to do with UFO’s / fallen angels. It was so exciting & interesting - and refreshing- Christians can learn about more & talk about more than sin & how bad we are.

Thanks for the post. Amasing to watch, Chuck handled the technical glitches with powerpoint well - Better than many ive seen (and quarter his physical age).. he kept flowing nicely. And as he got into his material, he seemed to turn into the man of decades ago... his passion for God's reasoning with us through the Word is infectious - he defies his age. So everything I said is still valid. If a textbook did say that it is wrong, as many HS textbooks are about all kinds of science. It's easy to see examples of this by doing a simple google search of "highschool textbook errors". So I don't think I missed the point at all. Chuck did and made a complete ass of himself to everyone that understands this. And he makes all the people that listen to him, like yourself, look like idiots when you try to defend him or repeat what he says.

Uncertainty is a part of science. Some theories have more evidence than others. An easy field to see this in is medicine. Whether or not a medication or treatment works is a scientific question. Some treatments are more certain than others. Doctors give patients probabilities when they discuss treatments because human physiology is too complex for us to know with absolute certainty what will happen with a given treatment. We are getting better and our confidence in medications and treatments are improving but there still is uncertainty and some diseases are more vague than others. The origin of life is much, much, more vague than any medical treatment and scientists, at least good ones, recognize this. The theory is based on evidence of what early conditions on earth may have been like, and even that evidence is not crystal clear. There have been experiments where under certain conditions(that word certain is important, not in peanut butter) where simple organic compounds like amino acids(important for life) can arise from simpler molecules that could have been present. See all these "could have" and "might" words, this is not an established theory. The theory of evolution does not depend on this. The origin of life can be a complete mystery, which it is, but we still have lots and lots of evidence for evolution, which makes the theory that the biological diversity of life on this planet arose from descent with modification an established theory.

Kind of what he spoke of at the start of the video, I was a struggling Christian listening to KWAVE in Southern California maybe 15 years ago & it seemed all of the programming was about repentance & awareness of sin except for this one show - Chuck’s show - so different than the rest of the programming that the station put a disclaimer before the show started! But I applaud Chuck Smith for having the courage to put it on his own station in the face of the rest of the listeners, maybe even his own congregation. I can’t remember the exact name of the teaching at the time but I think it had to do with UFO’s / fallen angels. It was so exciting & interesting - and refreshing- Christians can learn about more & talk about more than sin & how bad we are.
Please listen to this. This is critical. If your not aware we could be deceived. Chuck brings this up to our attention. Very Biblical. If you do not listen to anything else I send do listen to this one.

Thanks for the post. Amasing to watch, Chuck handled the technical glitches with powerpoint well - Better than many ive seen (and quarter his physical age).. he kept flowing nicely. And as he got into his material, he seemed to turn into the man of decades ago... his passion for God's reasoning with us through the Word is infectious - he defies his age. Sometimes when I'm flying my FPV (First Person View) drones, I'll see myself from up above. I'll look down at myself and think "who is that guy?"
