I picked up the Arkflex and have been carrying it everyday for a week now. First, the comfort is great and sometimes I forget that it's there. I have only had cylindrical lights in the past, but now I see the appeal of this form factor. I was never interested in the Arkfeld because I don't need a laser or UV. Second, the pivoting head makes it incredibly versatile. I wasn't sure why I needed that feature, but I find different ways to use it that I never imagined before. Third, I don't have a third, but thanks for the great comparison.
Unfortunately If you purchased the Pro during Black Friday, you received a version that is locked to double-click for strobe and triple-click for Turbo. It was initially changed to avoid accidental turbo activation in pocket. Enough people complained that they added the option to swap but still kept double-click strobe as default.
thats 100% false. they didnt change the arkfeld pro at all. mine triple clicks into strobe. zombie edition. prerelease editions are not first editions. prototype testers are just that, prototype testers. my zombie pro strobes on triple click. if you didnt even get a tester sample you dont have a clue what your talking about
@@nomercyinc6783It wasn't consistent at first. After the "change" but before Dec 6 IIRC they are locked "backwards. Starting with the December sale they have the changeable UI. But some BF lights were locked original UI and others the supposed improved UI but they are not changeable.
olight makes the best lights i ever had & i rely on lights at work. i used to go through so many lights doing HVAC . my warrior mini from almost 5 years ago is still awesome. other lights used to last about 7 months
I used to carry the UV which was also very good but its currently shelved because I aswell picked up the Zombie pro that has the original UI and it has been so much better for my job (which is building maintenance) and everyday use. The laser is perfect for point to a certain light fixture, roof HVAC unit, or a leak in the roof or pipes. the UV shows all the hidden disgusting bits in the bathrooms or boiler room, the pocket clip of on both of arkfeld models doubles as a hat clip so i dont need to carry a head lamp like the Perun 2 or P2 mini. Perfect fit for me
@@nomercyinc6783 I bought the first run of them as soon as they released, they later updated the UI from double click turbo to triple and also the fitment of the button sits lower then mine does. They did this due to an incident where someone accidentally turned on the turbo mode in their pocket and got burned pretty bad. 😬
I got the zombie Arkfeld Pro and then during the Christmas sale bundles I got the OD green and was frustrated with the change in functionality (because I didn't ready the directions) and contacted Olight. They explained, like you did, how to change back to what I consider normal UI. Great lights.
Going to wait until they release the Arkfeld pro in a desert brown or a limited edition that doesn't look goofy. I use the laser all the time on the gen 1, but I do want to upgrade because it's too dim over long distance.
- I have the Arkfeld Pro in orange and black, double click turbo, and I've never had it turn on in pocket. I tried carrying the seeker 4 pro in pocket and it comes on constantly.
300LM difference..its a little brighter but not by much. the most important thing is being able to use the laser and light at same time. Only the pro has that.
it was in the olight release video for the pro. or in the manual. people can learn to learn shit themselves by reading stuff themselves. lazy people dont deserve any assistance by anyone
the arkfeld pro has a more powerful uv emitter than the seeker 4 mini and arkfeld both. arkfeld uv 500nm seeker 4 mini 700 nm and the arkfeld pro at 900 nm. the pro is the brightest uv version from olight. if you need a small powerhouse uv light buy a lumintop tool 2.0 uv.
Man. Need the arkfeld pro features with the flex body style. :/ A man can hope and dream. Also if they would make a holster or case like the seeker 4 pro. With usb type c. :/
In this particular class of flat rechargeable lights, I’ll disagree. There are plenty of meh Olights but these Arkfelds are great. I got one a while back just to have a light around the house that also has a rechargeable laser to play with my cat, but ended up being super impressed with it. I carry a SureFire Stiletto Pro and have the Pro II on the way. I think it’s the best overall in the flat category. I also had and gave away a Nitecore EDC27 to a buddy of mine after a few weeks. The SureFire utilizes 1K lumens better the Nitecore utilizes 3K in my opinion. Brighter at the center on the SureFire than the Nitecore for throw, but similar spill that just isn’t as bright since the Nitecore is a floodlight. The Arkfeld in Neutral is, IMO, actually the best EDC flat light for most people. I ended up buying one for my wife and another for my dad. I stick to SureFire because it’s my lighting solution to pair with a firearm, but they don’t carry, so a nice neutral light plus an extra feature for the cats in the family works out great.

I'd be all over these if they had a red light mode. Especially the arkflex.
I command you to buy the arkfeld pro and i will not tolerate disobedience.
@@navyvet05 yes master
They are really good lights; but damn wouldn’t it be PERFECT if it had a red light option!
Actually, on the new Pro, you can use the UV light as a low light, kinda like you would use a red light.

Yeah but they made it where you can switch it to either way.
I just change my pro to double click for turbo. You saved me a bunch of time trying to figure it out. Thanks Dom. 👍
I just got this light yesterday for my birthday and love it. I had no clue we could change turbo to two clicks instead of 3 until this vid. Awesome!
I picked myself up an Arkfeld pro for my birthday a couple days ago. Iv been wanting a UV light and this combo should make a great edc light
I bought one of the Arkfeld UV for my wife and daughter. I got the Pro for myself. I love these flashlights.

Yep, and you can mod it back to the original if you want.

If I didn't have any Arkfeld I'd buy the Pro. Since I already have the UV I'll probably stick with it.
The arkfeld Pro and a UV marker are so versatile, I love the possibilities
It's definitely one of my favorites
The arkfeld pro is awesome. Its such an nice concept the designers should receive a raise. Thank you brining this to our notice.

I have the Uv but really thinking about getting the pro
Give me the arkflex “pro”. Preferably in purple
Thanks for explaining how to switch to turbo on double click
The 10x press and hold on lockout doesn't work on mine. I have EU version with Class 1 laser. Any advice how to swap key press for strobe turbo?

Neat. Just got one each for me and my dad and this was extremely useful information.
Is there a significant difference in brightness (to the eye) between the original arkfeld and the pro?
300LM difference..its a little brighter but not by much. the most important thing is being able to use the laser and light at same time. Only the pro has that.
Done with buying knifes for a bit lol just wondering whats the life span on a rechargeable do i need a new one every 3 years 🤔
Much longer...it will probably easily support 500 full drain cycles. That is probably 7 years of daily use.
@@maxlvledc Kool..I also saw that olight offer lifetime warranty on led.. lens and built in batteries 🔋

I didn’t know about the triple press turbo on my Arkfeld pro . Thanks man

The sale that started 12/11? I ordered 2 bundles 6 minutes after it started and it still hasn’t shipped yet 😢

Prices?
The pro is the way to go
A scuba dive can I actually dive with that
This is the main reason I don't go for olight anymore
?? What is?
I don't like lasers
if you live outside usa dont watch this video and don't get exited coz light don't ship overboard dammn
Liked these until I seen the prices
none of those are as cool as the eternal edition of the arkfeld
Truth
you do realize you spelled it wrong. its not the arc anything
Only “olight lithium batteries “can be used , batteries are expensive and poor quality.
Actually they source very good batteries..only those from Samsung or Panasonic are better
As soon as the Arkflex has a laser, I’ll upgrade from the original.
This guy has 1428 Arkfeld but can’t write it properly 😅
I didn't notice until just now 😂
Fixed lol
