not only is the first run sold out, it's now currently unavailable, so I'm assuming however many they had currently in queue for production also sold out. I'm loving mine so far, I can't wait for an opportunity to attempt to carry it on a flight. if I could offer one bit of feedback: they name it something that implies air/international travel, like the Jetsetter, and label that *PROMINENTLY* on the scales. a dunce TSA agent seeing "Flight Companion" branded on the tool will go a long way towards alleviating their concerns before you try to prove that it is indeed compliant with the rules they allegedly know and enforce.

I just got my TSA Nextool. It's a pretty nice tool.
I added a SAK toothpick under one side of the pliers. On vacation, i know I'm going to need a toothpick.

File is a real thing. It's part what i always missing in multitool. So much what i think to buy some SAK file and make custom one layer foldable file.

These are cool, but what I am still waiting on is more development in something more like the size of the Leatherman juice. For me that was the perfect size that was useful but still pocketable.

Just checked and pliers are not allowed on flights out of the UK either. I have a modded SAK manager with the blade filed down blunt and a squared off end so in effect it is like another small scredriver. I also bought a mini sailor from Ailexpress and just removed half of the tool and only carry the screwdriver half in carry on. Never been questioned yet. I'm really looking forward to see what SAK do with the bladeless tools they are going to release. They could be a big earner for them.

It would be sick, if they added two flip out pieces of metal that went over the pliers that essentially turned them into tweezers.

You should check out the rack robotics EDM machine for attaching to a standard ender 3 style 3d printer. I plan on picking up one to make custom multi tool parts. For $500 you get a super precise EDM machine that is capable of doing very fine metal work on very strong materials including titanium. Id still much rather have a dedicated tweezer. I have chestnuts in my area and the burrs are so fine that a regular plier head doesn't do anything to get those out. You need a sharp edged tweezer.

I'm actually thinking about a modification on the E1 ... But i'm not sure i can do it without seeing it and i'm not sure it's possible
Now the E1 has a lot of blades (weird) and a reaaaally bad file ... So the idea is to remove both the blade and file ... To move the scalpel holder to the blade the other side and add some a pin next to it (like the one in the mini sailor)
If that's possible, i wonder if it would make it slimer ... That would be interesting to try

Got mine yesterday and was checking out the tools and the scissors spring popped out and won't work properly anymore. Even after putting the one end of the spring back into the hole, it just pops right back out when I try to use it. Anyone know a way to fix this? I want to see if it's something I can fix instead of returning the item. Thanks!

Tiny multi tools like this are IMO probably more important for the hive mind to get right than full size ones because of how much easier they are to carry.
I wear trade pants full time so im well equipped with pockets but the size and weight of a full size tool deters even me from EDC something like a center drive but my powerpint is always on me.
Im supprised that there hasnt yet been a "perfect" tool set presented yet and were always given these half arsed tools like bottle cap openers and can openers that nobody in the modern world actually uses these days.
Having a pliers is great but its pretty pointless if they are too weak to use for anything and none of them seems to incorporate a deliberately designed scraper.

@jasonbeecher509 i figured that's what you meant. I was just curious. No problem with it at all. I'm sure with your job is a must. I don't work rn so my leatherman gets "most" of my maintenance needs done around the house. Im able to grab what i need from my toolbox for anything else I do carry a dedicated micro driver in my pocket kit. I'm constantly working on my family's knives and gadgets. I don't want a cheap tool from a multitool to try and take locktight screws out. So i get carrying dedicated tools. A driver in my leatherman though is perfect for some things i do. But love my micro driver and it's on me everyday. I use knives as fidget and defense training so I'm always adjusting pivots and shit

constant videos being released causing more demand than supply is getting old as fuck from youtubers and influencers. an hour late and shits sold out. pretty dumb of yall to keep this trend up. more stock less demand is better than more demand and less stock.
