*UPDATE* So I realized after I did all this work that I have a conventional open diff and not a limited slip diff. Adding the 75w-140 w/ additive in an open diff won't cause harm to the diff but if you don't add it to a limited slip diff is when you run into problems. Here's the video that will let you know what diff you are running.

Lucas 80-90 gear oil every 10-15 k . Idk if I would wonder off of factory spec . I’m just particular😁
Shit did I mess up? I looked at the manual and it showed 75w-140 for the Dana m60. I checked again just now and noticed the type you mentioned but the only difference was that one is limited slip and the other isn’t. Will adding this mess my gears up? I took it out for a test but all seemed fine.
@@CHICOandtheVAN I’m under the impression the 75-100 synthetic is or has roughly the same effect. I checked too and Dana , the maker of the axle, list several types. 75 to 110. It’s hard to say what is “ correct “ . IMO as long as it’s with in range and Gear Oil , then it should be fine . The products for limited slip have detergents an friction multipliers , so the clutches in the diff work when there covered in the oil .

I have a question. I have an old 1993 E350 conversion van. Also, a 2002E 250 parts van. Am I able to slide one rear end out and put the other one in? Are they compatible?
