This is the best bike camper van I have ever seen! Excellent design and beautiful interior.
Thank you! 🙏🙂
Think I just found my new favourite channel!
I glad you are enjoying my content! 😀🙏
What a nice build. I've been taking my Honda Shadow inside my Promaster van for 3 years now. By the time I retire I hope to have the build as nice as what you have already done. My 10 foot ramp is wider and permanently hinged. I ride the Shadow in and then setup the bed over the motorcycle on a track system on the side walls. I got some great ideas on how to put in my kitchen area. Thanks for the content. I just found your site so I'll have to check out where you ride. Be safe!
Thank you! I looked at the pro master as well, the square box style definitely has its advantages over the transit. The fixed Motorcycle ramp would definitely make things a little easier, but there is only so much space so one has to sacrifice somewheres lol. I’m glad you enjoyed the videos, ride safe! 🙏🙂
@@pavechaser I updated my RUclips. My Promaster is Patriot Blue and I have the Honda Shadow...thus Blue Shadow 923. 💙 The 10 foot ramp folds in half and creates a wall inside the back doors. The Gorilla lift cable allows me to put the ramp away with one hand. Ramp doubles as a deck when at a campsite. Thanks!.
Fantastic video and a big thank you for sharing it with us. You're among the rare individuals who've thought to construct a bed at the front in such a manner. Truly an innovative concept!
Thank you so much! When hauling a motorcycle, it makes a lot more sense to have the bed upfront. Actually, even if I didn’t have a motorcycle, I would still put the bed upfront as it allows for easier access to everything from the back doors! 🙂
This was so great to watch! You're a lot more personable than most. Glad that setup worked out so well for you. Looks awesome.
Thank you! 😊 🙏 I’m glad you enjoyed the video!
This is fantastic! So much of this is what I have started doing to my van. Excellent job!
Thank you! 🙏 🙂
Wow, this is so well designed, you could mass produce it!
Thank you! Its a lot of work but the end result was worth it! :)
This is the best van build I’ve seen to suites my needs. So happy I came across this.
I won’t be using for bikes but I will need to use for work, loading lots of things and some of them fairly large. So this is absolutely fantastic.
Great video and love your presentation style too. Thanks for posting. New subscriber here for sure. 👊🏼
Thank you - glad you enjoyed it! 🙏🙂
I love this build two 👍👍
Thank you! 🙏🙂
Beautiful job on the van! Love it!
Thanks so much! More features will be added as it’s a work in progress! 😁
Great Job!!! I love it. I'm picking up my van next month. I'll be modeling my own van build after yours. If you put a street glide in there, could you set up the bed still? 🙂
Thanks! I think the van is definitely the way to go for Moto hauling. I’d load the bike in first before building it out to get the measurements and go from there. It should fit - might be a bit tighter than the smaller bikes but should be doable! Good luck! 🙂
Amazing build I definitely have to build this when i get the funds. Thankyou for uploading the video. By far the best van build I've seen for bikes
Thanks so much - I’m glad you enjoyed the video! Good luck with your project!
Based on this video I feel I could leave a lot from you about organization, planning and storage. Everything has a place and is well thought out.
Van came a long way since the initial tour you gave me (at Starbucks). Looks fantastic.
Thanks man - Yep it’s been a transformation!
This is by far the best diy van build I have ever seen. This is insanely good. I am definitely going to steal some of your ideas mate. Very clever. Thanks
Thank you! 🙏 🙂
I l♡♡♡♡♡♡♡ve this build! I have not built out my van because I like using it as a van sometimes to haul big stuff. I'm 100% going to try to replicate this!
Nailed it!!! I’ve been looking for idea for a van build to store my bike inside and have an easy access bed too. I’m talking bicycles so that gives a bit more room to play with and still take my road and mountain bike. Great explanation and overview. I’m taking notes and will have a mini version of this in due time. Thank you for your van show and tell. Hands the best I’ve seen by far!! Good bless you.
Thanks so much! Good luck with your project! 🙂
pretty dope build..
Thanks! 🙏
Outstanding sir!
Wow, agreed! I just got a transit for my KTM 1290 SAR. I love your ideas and very impressed. Best van build I've seen for a motovan. Looking forward to implementing your ideas to my van build.
Thanks! Good luck with your build!
Outstanding engineering. You should sell the plans or the mechanism for the bed system
Thank you! 🙂🙏
I'd buy!
I went with a sprinter can fit two sport bikes and put the bed over the bikes in the back
Nice! 👍
Nice work !
Wow how cool camper !!! Super idea !
Fantastic 👍🏆
This is awesome
This is amazing, great build
Thank you! 🙂🙏
Nicely done, I like your style!
Thank You! 🙏🙂
Awesome!!
So friggin awesome!
Thanks! 🙏☺️
Cool van! Great job bud!👌
Thanks! 🙏🙂
Awesome! I love it!
Thank you! More neat features will be added as it’s a work in progress!
Absolutely awesome I am wanting to take my bike with me in a van and was thinking the only real way was an enclosed trailer making the total unit big and cumbersome you idea is quit frankly exellent and gives you security in spades. N1 ❤
Thank you! 🙏 🙂
What an amazing built.
Thank you!
Great job!!👍👍👍
Thanks! 😄🙏
Holy heck man I WANT that table/Bed!!!!
What are the chances you can tell us more about that!?
Unfortunately, I didn’t document much more than what you see in the video as I was kind of flying by the seat of my pants! 😂
So cool!
Thank you! 🙏🙂
Dude this is the best van layout I’ve seen yet great job
Thanks so much! 🙏🙂
Great job cuz! I expected nothing leas than excellence and you delivered!!
Thanks man! A lot of work goes into a project like this!
finaly new video :D How can i get a pavechaser shirt ?! :D
I had a lot going on/big projects this spring (this van build being one of them) but no excuses - I gotta up my game! 😅 more frequent content coming! (Hoping to maybe get the shirt/merch side of things going this winter! 🤞🙂
Perfect, amazing job
Thank you! 🙏
Impressive, love it
Thank you!
Great video 👍
Thank you! 🙏🙂
Impressive!
Thank you!🙏 🙂
Ok 👏
Sweeet van build!
Thanks!
I like your bed setup, but what if you extend that over that driver and passenger seat.
Just fold them forward (chair) to have the horizontal space needed for the foldable bed frame.
Thanks! Ive thought about doing that, but for now it has been working ok. I like the ability to leave the bed set up while driving on the road. When travelling solo, I rarely use the table setup as the counters on either side in the back tend to work OK (unless it’s raining, and I have to have everything inside). I’m about to take the van/bike to Daytona Beach for bike week and will hopefully make a few videos on how that goes showing it in action. 🤞
Love how you used every bit of space in the back.. Quick question.. what name of fold up seat is that?? Do they do a twin?.. thx
Thank you! I got the seats from a local
company that does police and ambulance vehicle setups, so I don’t know the exact brand - but they look identical to what the company “freedman” has on their website in terms of mechanical look/operation. I’d say that’s where they came from! (And yes, they make a twin version - I have one of those as well that I can swap in where the desk/bed is if I want a three passenger setup)
@@pavechaser Can you give us anymore information on the seat? I'm looking for a single seat for mine just like that.
Great Job Karl,
Hope you don’t mind if I try to emulate your great ideas in my Moto Van build.
I’m curious if there’s anything major you would change/ improve about your build now that you’ve had it done for a bit.
Thanks a bunch! Rory
Thanks so much. Take as many ideas as you like! :) I just got back from living in it for over two weeks at Daytona bike week in Florida. Everything was perfect for my needs. Because I was “rough camping” without access to power, I swapped out the fridge for a cooler, so I could just put ice in it when necessary and not worry about the fridge draining my power bank while I was out “partaking in the festivities” most of the day. Having it modular is great so you can gear it up depending on where and what you’re going to be doing with it. I’m racking my brain trying to figure out if there was anything I would do differently, and at this point, I can honestly say I wouldn’t. If I was starting all over, I’d do the exact same thing! 🙂 (one change, and this is extremely situational now that my kids are older and don’t travel with me in it) I probably wouldn’t put the extra passenger seat in in the back, and use that space to build in a porta potty or something) Good luck with your build!
Interesting you went to Daytona.
Getting to Daytona Bike week from Northern ILLINOIS without freezing any body parts off is why I wanted a moto Camper in the first place.
Thanks for the Great ideas. You have me Feeling very motivated to get going on this project.
Thanks Again,
Rory
Fantastic build , how long did it take you and how much aprox did you invest.
Thank you! 🙏 it took me about 5 weeks to do it full time hrs (mind you I had to research and learn how to do alot of it so that took alot of time) and about 10k for everything including the passenger seat, and professional floor/L- tracking) (but NOT including Bluetti generator and Joolca shower hardware)
@@pavechaser This build is gorgeous! Any chance you'll be uploading the plans on how someone can make this setup themselves?
How did you give the color tone to the plywood? amazing van!
I used a dark stain and wiped it with a cloth until the desired tone was remaining!
Thanks! A video would have been nice! 🤙🏻
effing genius - did you keep track of building details beyond this verbal? if yes, package that up as a $9.99 or some [reasonable-value].99 and boom. beer money! do you have a thumbnail of time and cost?
Thanks! 🙏 unfortunately I did not create plans or blueprints as I was basically working from my “minds eye” And making lots of adjustments and fine tunes as I went. As for the time, it took me about six weeks, but that’s pretty much full-time. If you have woodworking experience and a shop, you could probably do it quicker, but again I had to learn how to do everything such as making the doors/ cabinets and electrical systems which I never done before. As for budget I’m about 13 K Canadian all in if you deduct the passenger seat, Bluetti power system, and hot water system, it’s around 7K
Bro. I want one.. been looking for a class b to carry my road glide... Looks like a road glide will fit.... Right?
It should. With this build there’s over 48 inches wide so I’d say it should fit!
Karl, what's the model of your Bluetti? I picked up the 710wh station in blue.
It’s the ac200 max 2000wh (link in description)
@@pavechaser Thanks. I'm going to check it out. I eventually would like one with longer watt-hours.
How tall are you? interested to see if i need the High top or the medium top
I’m around 6’2” - a bit more height would be nice but I went with medium top so I could go through drive-throughs and get it into smaller garage doors.
Approximately what was your total cost for the build?
About 10k for everything except the Bluetti solar generator!
@@pavechaserthank you for sharing this awesome build. Next time I visit my dad out east I'll bring the 890 Duke. Maybe I'll get to spot you on the road and wave. Cheers from Ottawa
@@Markthewhitethanks! That would be cool! 😎
Sorry but I've never seen a worse bed setup in a van.
Thanks for the comment!
Ur wrong mate, saves space. Not clostrophobic, a Lil set up time but surely worth it.
@@zacdinnessen5720 "lil set up time" sure buddy
Get the girl friend to make the bed. No set up time then ;)
What a great build Karl!
Thanks man!
