Did you have any breakdowns? I’ve heard KTM is not as reliable as the Japanese bikes.

Brings back good memories. I went there in 2017 on an 1190 but the road to Tuk was not opening until November. Then returned 2020 on a 1290 and made it right to the ocean. No flats no issues just some long stretches of mud and lot of dust on the one summer trip. Not sure if it was timing but there were no bugs to speak of...

As camper/hiker I would think you would use something like the "geyser" for a shower it's very small built in heater best part it has a body sponge thing as the shower head you use way way less water to shower takes up no space it pays for itself.

I love the build, well thought out and I am saving this video to refer to when I am getting into building mine. However... Do people not know what words mean any more? Ultimate - the best achievable or imaginable. That yours is not. Like low hanging fruit answer would be the facing is made with walnut instead of pine and plywood. But even that isn't the best imaginable. Probably extruded aluminum frame with a walnut facing for the cabinets. You get the point. This build, while phenomenal, is not ultimate. And if you say "saved money," refer back to "best imaginable." Saved money means compromised...not best. I am glad that the lazyness used to title this video was not used to build the van.

Great job and planning. The bed feature is very inspiring as it save time/effort of unloading bike or ATV if all you want is to sleep or nap.

There's not much headroom when in bed. The inside garage door is not sealed. Just imagine having a dump inside your small living area! 🤮

I would love to see more van content you should do a more in depth vid of all the measurements for everything and after living in it for awhile some things you would want to add/fix and things you would remove I would love to see that my plan is to do the same thing moto van life while being a skydiving instructor so this is a perfect van build

very nice setup I almost brought the same setup as yours(saddle bags/crashbars) except for the tank bag in which I brought the KTM powerparts model. how is this bike going with you so far? I want to take it for a tour soon but I'm afraid due to the cams issue, is it working well so far? I have changed the fork seals, thermostat housing, radiator hoses, and waiting for valve cover gasket. so many issues yet it's fun to ride.

I was going to comment how this is the best custom van build i've ever seen, but, after looking at all the comments I think its the best van build a LOT of people have ever seen lol. Very good job, if you ever plan on selling these I have a feeling you'd need a full business to keep up with demand!
