Yes David, it's expensive Ontario, Canada. the Overtrail is $95,785.00, the Overtrail+ is $105,135.00 + 13% tax. If I have money I would buy the Overtrial+ love the extra luxury
nice like it , no 3rd row . no more v8 and ugly front end and opt to delete the moon roof, this is what we off roaders can campers overlanders want cant wait to see one in person
Needs proper sliders. Those look like they'd bend. Front bumper looks very low too. The rack is similar to many other flat add ons. The issue is going to be what fits in the garage. 4Runner standard rack has about 4-8 inches clear.
I have 275/70R18 on my 200 Land Cruiser with a small BP51 2” lift. They are basically 33” tires (33x10.50 on 18). There’s quite a bit of options in that size.
18s are not best for off roading. More tire under the wheel is best for off-roading. Those are not 35s on there. The mud flaps are lame for true off roading
It’s the only vehicle you’ll ever need, safe in the city bringing for the kids to school great off roader reliable as hell loads of space for family the dog and all your luggage for weekends away, these vehicles make so much sense, I just can’t afford one of those bastards 😢
I think the 80's just called and said they want their nerf bars back.... 😂 Seriously though, this design is much more futuristic, the retro design steps ain't cutting it. And that front bumper add on its just a little too forward, could be pulled back / brought closer to the body a lot more. Some features, like a row of Hella off-road round lights, might work, but they have to be the newer modern-retro looking models. Something like the Predator Steps from the Tacoma would look good on this. Something like an actual rated rock sliders with removable steps like the concept Nissan Frontier would be perfect.
Hi David, I totally agree with you on the Canadian pricing. It’s priced way too high in Canada. I ordered an overtrail+ but I’m not sure if I will get in when it arrives. I can afford it, but the price is stupid in Canada. I don’t think it’s worth that much.
@@eg4449 What does that mean? "Highly capable" off road vehicles? And how many actually drive off road? I'll tell you.... its a fraction of one percent.
Hi David, I like the GX a whole lot don’t get me wrong it’s a beautiful vehicle the GX 550 but I love the GX 460. A lot of my friends tell me I’m crazy but I love old school. I waited a decade and a half for the 2023 and , my favorite is the GX 460 luxury edition with the off-road package that is truly good enough for me on off-road🇯🇵🤍❤️
Yep I did the same thing...the only part lacking is the towing ability. But hopefully it will do what I need. As far as off roading it should do enough. If more is needed then some light mods could be made. Just wish it came with 18 inch rims.
Finally Jaos getting the coverage they deserve. Their Baja LX is awesome and this GX config makes me want one even more.
That GX 550 with all of the customized parts looks fantastic! An absolute must for that vehicle! The outline white lettering tires are simply superb!
This is the best new Toyota product for the dirt in North America. Absolute stunner and tons of capability.
The biggest feature of the Jaos upgrade is the front bumper.
That thing looks great, David!👍

Beautiful... Can't wait to see a bull bar by JAOS for this particular Lexus.
Looks awesome!!!! Just imagine a bit more lift and true 35's would look out of this world
David, I thought you were in Arizona this weekend testing the new GX. 😄
Want the GX Overtrail Plus (2nd year of release) and hope JAOS will be available in NA!

Also, the straps on the mud flaps are there so when you’re backing up, they don’t get snagged in the tire treads and rip off.

I have deposit at Lexus Richmond and Vancouver and I was told I will get an allocation end of this year.
"allocation"? WTF🤣
beautiful vehicle, but for a hundred grand, i'll keep my 4runner.
Nice 👍
Out of curiosity (let’s say I don’t need a 3rd row) which would you pick between an Rivian R1S and the GX 550 Overtrail?

Im waiting for the new Land Cruiser and the 6th Gen 4Runner to make my decision of purchasing
Is it true that Lexus GX 550 2024 only for North America and Australian markets?
SO much nicer and way more reliable than a Jeep Grand Wagoneer. Basically going for the same market, once again American vehicles lag. IMO

@AutomotivePress David, which GX 550 Model did you reserve?
Very nice additions but the landcruiser prado will be the one to get
かっこいいですね。
David doesn’t it worry you that the tundra with the same engine is having so many issues ( engine)
покажіть як машина їде по трасі ? Як розганяється, як тормозить , як веде себе в поворотах ? яка витрата палива ?
When you realize it didn't even release yet and they have one customized 😅👀🤷🏽♂️
For a SUV that's over $100K CAD, it doesn't have a integrated dash cam?
Ua gonna have to strap in on the price. Jesus!
Compared to ? Any other highly capable off road vehicles. Which vehicles does this compete with? The answer is they aren't cheap.

Sexy, I really like the overtrail but it would be nice to have a 6/7 seater that the LUXURY+ provides... can't decide..
Hey I thought you were not a fan of the new GX??? Which one is it??
It looks like the changed the approach angle not for the better on that one 😅
It's incomplete without V8
All good but the turbo.
