This truck was absolutely begging for a lift and 35's. Looks awesome. Personally I think an 18" wheel would look a touch more proportionate overall. Small difference but just enough to match the scale of it.
This new GX came out looking (and seems) fantastic. Your modifications compliment the truck So damn well👏 when i win the lotto, I'm spending my GX to yall🤘🏼
Looks great! Now I would love to see the results of an articulation test with the larger 35" wheels. I also want to see the front bumper with winch mount!
I'm getting a lexus GX 460 and I know for sure That roof Rack is on the list for my build! And I've heard nothing but positive Reviews about your products and customer service!
Beautiful, you guys hit the ball out of the park with this look, I wanted to ask. I'm planning to purchase a GX 550, what would it cost to build it to the same specs as the one showing on the video. Again, you guys did an awesome job.
Would a 11.5 wide work better without needing to trim? I’m not digging the 12.50 honestly, looks a little bulky compared to rest of GX. Did you play with test fitting sizes on stock wheels?
How does this enhance my mall parking lot crawling experience? Need the winch and brushbars as well for those really rowdy soccer moms in their defenders and siennas.
@@gene80 The same ones that they are having in the Tundra. They just did a huge recall on the Tundra and some of the Lexus vehicles. They are saying it's debris in the engine from the manufacturing process but most of the problems are a spun bearing in the crankshaft.
I have a gx myself really not trying to cut or lift. I have a luxury. Please let me know how I could run this setup with what wheels and what tires for no cutting without your WD lift ?
I’d rock a westcott build! Happy with the 4Runner stuff. Curious on wheel offset opportunities for different stances. This is +35, wonder if 0 has too much poke, rubbing and etc. I guess i have 12-18 months to figure it out until one could be in my driveway, lol.
Man this thing is sexy...what's the cost of getting my GX550 to look exactly like this with all the same mods? I especially love the wheels and tires and all the attention to detail in customization to prevent the tires from rubbing.
Looks incredible. Looks so damn better than the bronco as well. I'll have to admit it holds some body features imo? But the Lexus just kills it! Westcott did an amazing job! Shut up and take my money, haha.
Whats the static capacity of your roof rack? Does it cause more noise on the road than the oem roof rack? You mentioned the distance from wheel to fender being longer. What is the distance from the inner wheel to the strut? Wouldn't dropping to a 17x7.5 +50 with a 34 inch tire be an easier way to gain more tire? It would be the same distance from strut as the OEM without the need to add a collar lift, and there would be no need to trim the vehicle. What is the mpg hit running this setup? It looks like you will lose some degree of articulation. Thanks.
You mention attention to detail, but I think the roof rack looks wrong and the crescent shape is opposing the roof geometry of the gx …is there a reason for this? @1:58
This is a wicked ride... But, I agree with you. The crescent shape of the leading edge of the roof rack doesn't match the curvature of the windshield where it meets the roof. It seems like a Convex shape would be more aesthetically pleasing. Maybe the design is accommodating a future light bar? Otherwise, it all seems symmetrical, 35's are perfect!
yeah the way it extends past the windshield at the corners is an eyesore but there are bigger problems, like that motor being recalled for faulty crank bearings
@@taylorhickman84 The V35A in the GX 550 hasn't been recalled. Here is the notice of the vehicles affected by the recall: static.nhtsa.gov/odi/rcl/2024/RMISC-24V381-8150.pdf. The V35A in the GX550 uses smaller turbos: ruclips.net/video/SS64fyPldoY/видео.htmlsi=29UXFcEt-HOtuoMF&t=126, so I'm not concerned at all. It's been in the LS 500 since 2017, and those are still rated super high in reliability from J.D. Power.
My GX550 should be arriving in the next two months. Love the look of the lift! Not much info out there yet... Any info on how the 35's impacted stock mpg? Any concerns with stock transmission managing the 35s? Lastly, I'm hearing folks are frustrated with overall range of the 550... Any plans on building an aftermarket expanded fuel tank kit? Personally, I want to get to ~400 mile range. Hearing others are at 290-300. Sent shop a text a well. If you've got a 550 aftermarket kit roadmap in mind would love to see it.
Anyone know what color this GX 550 is? I can't tell if it's black or another dark color with a hint of something else in it. Looks stunning either way.

SPECTACULAR! Can't wait to see front bumper with winch, rear bumper and rock rails for GX!
Hits all the design marks, perfect.
Thank you!🙏
Nailed it! Looking at the rack there’s no doubt it was made specifically for the 550 instead of being just a generic wedge like all the others.
We made to even match the fender design😉
Looks good and I have an idea. Incorporate a thin led light bar into that front section of the roof rack.
sick truck. would take this over a 6th gen 4runner or new LC for sure

Looks awesome!! Is there much wind noise with the roof rack?
Looks great love to see you get your hands on a green one!!

What is the recommended offset if you go with 285/75s?
Such an awesome setup. I think we will see these everywhere at the price point of the Lexus too

Very nice build. Looks like a factory special edition

Did adding all this weight affect the overall performance of the power? What did the lift/wheel&tire pack cost?
