The sunscreen that gives me instant glow and hydration is the rice berry sunscreen from littlllextra. Apply a generous amount evenly to all exposed areas, such as the face, neck, and arms, 15 minutes before heading out into the sun. Its lightweight and non-greasy formula makes it perfect for everyday use. With niacinamide and vitamin C, it brightens the face and imparts a lovely glow.
I remember a friend suggested riceberry sunscreen to me during the summers, and I got it right away. I’ve been using it since then, and I’ve completely fallen for it! I’m combination skin type. I’ve even got my mom to try it. It has such a great finish. I’ve also tried the Requil one, but idk why I don’t like how it just sits on my skin. So, riceberry is my go-to.
I am someone who has allergic skin. It’s not uncommon for my neck to turn bright red if I put something on my face. Or my eyes to swell. Aveeno Calm and Restore serum is a good one. Eucerin Q10 anti wrinkle cream is thick and doesn’t cause breakouts. Super amazing for dry sensitive skin.
I am 64 years old, live in a dry climate, and have rosacea. I would like to see Prequel am and pm routines. I use several of your products and find them soothing and at an affordable price point for this retired teacher. Thanks so much for your channel!
Yes, please, an evening Prequel routine for dry, sensitive, aging skin. 65 years old, very clear skin. I find it’s changing and what it liked, it doesn’t. Skin texture is weird, dullness, sometimes red areas….needs more/different…maybe an active….i currently use Vanicream gentle cleanser and cream + a retinol, which I have used forever. I’m even having trouble with my oil cleanser which seems to be causing breakouts, which I never get. I do have a fantastic water-resistant sunscreen (from Europe and the only one I don’t break out from). Curious why you didn’t use your cleanser….
I thought I had rosacea so I made an appointment to see a Dermatologist. She thought I just had extremely sensitive skin not rosacea. I’m 61, have menopausal very dry, sensitive skin. I would love to use some form of Vitamin A but I find it’s almost impossible to use on my cheeks but I’m able to use on my forehead only. Your Prequel Gleanser is now my favorite cleanser. I have purchased 6 bottles & I use it not only on my face but all over my body as well. Thank you for making it fragrance-free! I would love to see a Prequel skin care routine. Thank you so much.
I'm 45 and had very dry, flaky skin. I switched to SeneGence Dry formula skincare, and it solved my problem in a week. I also use SeneGence Climate Control w/ hyaluronic acid to infuse the hydration and allll of their treatments-- their Lifting & Firming Neck Cream works immediately! I love your informative videos. Thank you!
I have Rosacea and messed up my skin barrier a while back. I've learned a lot since then, and it's so much better now. Because of your recommendation, I started using Stratia Night Shift Retinol. I used it once a week for a month with no problem. I just started twice a week. I'm hoping it will not aggravate my skin. Thanks 😊
Hi Dr. Ellis! I just got your vitamin C and Multi Quench serums and love them! I usually get irritated and itchy from vit. C's..but this one does not do that. Can't wait to try more of your products 🙌💜
I’ve had all kinds of skin issues, from dryness to redness, but after trying the subliminal affirmations on borlest, my skin has become so much healthier and balanced. I’m really impressed!
I’ve always had bad skin, especially acne, and I was tired of trying all the expensive stuff. The subliminal affirmations on borlest have honestly been the one thing that’s made a real difference. My skin feels so much better now.
Great video! I use retina A (small amount) about 3-4 times a week and the other nights I use CeraVe exfoliating cream. Then I use neutrogena hydro boost cream. I have sensitive mature skin, these work well for me. I am glad that you suggested this routine for sensitive skin. Thank you!
Your videos are always informative and enjoyable to watch. Would you consider doing a video about eczema? It’s causes and treatments? I’d really appreciate that. Thank you.
At 66 years old, your brand, Prequel addresses my sensitive skin better than ANYTHING I have tried over the counter or so called "medical grade". Thankyou for the gentle ingredients!
I 100% would love a Prequel-based routine! Things that have helped when my skin is really struggling is Vanicream cleanser, Prequel Skin Utility spray, Anua Heartleaf toner, and Skin1004 Centella ampoule. Moisturizer is tricky as someone with highly reactive skin that also gets congested at the drop of a hat, but Prequel Skin Utility Ointment has been a nice go-to!
To be honest, I didn’t expect much from the subliminal affirmations on borlest, but my skin has improved so much. I’ve had fewer breakouts and it’s looking clearer every day. So happy I found this!"
I didn’t think anything could help with my acne scars, but after listening to the subliminal affirmations on borlest for a while, I’ve started to notice they’re actually fading. It’s such a relief.
As a cheap queen, Medik8’ s retinaldehyde (currently using Crystal 20, maximum strength) is the very first product in my life that has made me -spend- invest a mini fortune payed with pleasure and a smile. After fighting acne and scars for almost two decades (it includes ilostcount isotret courses and laser sessions) you don' t want to loose your deserved achieved dolphin skin. I still struggle with the Cinderella SPM Syndrome (Somebody Pinch Me, this skin cannot be real🤯, cannot be MINE😍, tomorrow the carriage will be a pumking again...). Shoes, bras, skin + hair products must prove me that they are beyond worth their price. And Medik8 did it. Meanwhile, my fav matte red lip ever is 4'50€ and my holy grial brow pencil is 2'50€ and, at 50 yo, I can' t remember a day in my life without brows + lips. Many many maaaaany thanks for becoming a guinea pig for us. Nothing equals a pro explanation + demonstration🧛🏻♀️🖤🖤🖤
I tried Bioderma Micellar Water and it made the skin under my eyes itch like crazy. I don’t have over-reactive skin. I use 0.1% Tretinoin, with no side effects at all.
Honestly, my skin has never looked this good. Whether it was breakouts or rough texture, the subliminal affirmations on borlest helped smooth everything out. It’s amazing how much has changed!
Oh yes please! A whole day and night simple Prequel routine wld be great! Also, your thoughts on Allies of Skin Multi Peptides and GF Advanced Lifting Serum. Skin care lover too! Thank you!!
It took me yearsssss to realize i could not tolerate niacinamide. If anyone is struggling with “gentle labeled” products and still sensitive to them and flaky, try to eliminate niacinamide and see if it helps!
One more here! I didn’t know for a while why even applying products targeted for sensitive skin, my skin felt so spicy. When I decided to try Vichy Mineral 89, but the one called Probiotic Fractions instead of the regular one and stung SO BAD, I saw the culprit right away. Such a bummer to be sensitive to an ingredient as prevalent, but at least once you are aware you can avoid it.
Dr Sam can you do a video on Tazarotene and photoaging. There are tons of info on Tretinoin and photoaging but little coverage on Tazarotene and photoaging. Thank you for ALL do you!
Your Lucent-C is the ONLY L-Asorbic acid products I've ever been able to tolerate! I have sensitive skin and it is great. Although the distribution method is not great, it sprayed me in the eye one time.
The fact that nobody talks about subliminal affirmations for perfect skin and beauty on Borlest speaks volumes about how people are missing out. Trust me on this-using subliminals can change your life. The power of the mind to heal and transform your skin is incredible when you tap into the right frequencies.
Thank you so incredibly much. All your videos are unbelievably helpful and you are your channel are so underrated! You deserve more followers! Please I’m begging bring prequel to Australia! Everyone is literally dying for it!😅 I’m not even remotely joking ( Facebook groups, reddit, chatting with people on instagram…)☺️ I hope it can come here soon. Thank you so much, you really are so lovely to watch, genuine and knowledgeable ( obviously!).
And as for my sensitive skin favorites… all I do is rinse my face with water in the morning. And then start with prequel hypochlorous acid, then a compound cream for rosacea, then Sunday Riley vitamin C, prequel multi-quench, Paula’s choice clear moisturizer, beauty of Joseon sunscreen, or EVY sunscreen mousse if I want my sunscreen to last most of the day. And then at night Paula’s choice oat cleanser, Elta MD cleanser, then azaleic acid since I have rosacea, then adapalene or Sunday Riley good genes lactic acid, and then laneige sleeping cream.)
I've struggled with breakouts forever and nothing seemed to work. I’ve been listening to the subliminal affirmations on borlest for a few weeks now, and I swear my skin has never looked this clear. I didn’t expect it to work, but it really did.
Your utility spray and redness reform serum allow me to be a little reckless with my actives. I now feel confident using actives knowing your products will save me - especially with my perioral dermatitis prone skin! I LOVE them SO MUCH!!!
Recently my friend complained me about her sensitive skin and wrinkles, and when I asked about her routines she answered that she wash her face with soap and that’s it…👀 till those moment I really believed that ALL women are familiarized about basic skincare. But now I lost my pink glasses and want to say THANK YOU for you spreading knowledges about that.
Thank you SO MUCH for making this an all fragrance free video even though me personally I DO wanna demonize all artificial fragrance as someone who is very allergic to it - other people wearing it affects me 😢 I really feel it ahoi so be avoided in everyone , while it may not be noticeable affecting many I do believe it can help lead to illness and cause irritation and redness even in those not allergic 🤷🏼♀️ so many natural smell good I wish we would all ditch the comedogenic crap
Medik8 Crystal Retinal 1 was my dermatologist recommendation for my sensitive reactive skin…..it made a really noticeable difference for signs of aging after 6 months. I worked up from once a week to 6 times a week over several months I’m waiting for my annual visit to discuss if I move up to the next strength. Aside from this Medik8 Press and Glow used weekly on the off Retinal night has worked from me. All my other skin care is the Australian brand QV FACE, as per derm recommendation, it’s a very simple pharmacy skin care line for sensitive skin, similar to Vanicare I believe. I exclusively use Naked Sundays Collagen Mineral Glow Sunscreen, I can only tolerate mineral sunscreen on my face and I’m so in love with this sunscreen.
I have sensitive skin and i always double cleanse i use the bioderma micaller water and i love it always thought it was enough to cleanse but followed with a cleanser out of habit its so interesting to me to see a professional is satisfied with just a micaller cleanse definitely gonna try it !
Can you please make a video on oil cleansers, balms, micellar waters, and pure oils (e.g., olive, coconut, sweet almond, jojoba, etc) that are best for very sensitive skin? I need something to remove water-resistant sunscreen, so that it doesn’t break me out. I’ll try the micellar water you suggested in this video, but if that doesn’t work out, I’d like to know of other options I can try. I’m currently not wearing sunscreen because the La Roche-Posay Mineral sunscreen I tried recently broke me out badly, which I suspect is due to my cleanser (Vanicream facial cleanser) not washing it off fully at the end of the day. So, the leftover sunscreen accumulated on my skin, and it broke me out after a few days of me using the sunscreen. On top of that, the cleansing was drying out my skin because I was washing my face multiple times in a row with my Vanicream cleanser, yet it still wasn’t removing all of the sunscreen. So, I really need some cleansing options that are good for very sensitive skin, and won’t dry out the skin. This is extremely important to me because I can’t wear sunscreen until I find a way to properly remove it, and I really want to start wearing sunscreen. I just need something that works for my skin, that won’t cause irritation or dryness. I haven’t found any videos that go over products for sensitive skin for removing water-resistant sunscreen. All of the videos I’ve seen, only talk about water-based cleansers, which from my experience, aren’t effective at properly removing water-resistant sunscreen. Also, many products recommended contain hyaluronic acid in them, which is an ingredient that my skin is very sensitive to (hyaluronic acid severely dries out my skin to the point where my skin becomes very tight & fine lines appear all over my face).
All I can say is Japanese or HEIMISH Korean Cleanser and Moisturizer. Be sure to double cleanse am/pm. 50 SPF Biore Aqua Rich Watery Essence it's my go to am for my 54yr òld dry, sensitive skin.
I would NEVER not wash my face after using mycellar water. I use it as a first of two cleanse. Some mycellar waters have some funky ingredients that you wouldn't want to leave on the skin. Double-cleanse for the win!
I really struggle with this! I use to use ALLL the products de jour then all of a sudden everything caused a hive like condition so could only tolerate Vaseline. This/your content is a Godsend. I have/love the #1 Medik8 and have found a few exfoliants/other but ready to stop with all the hype, expense and searching so I join all the others here who are requesting both morning and night time routines using Prequel. Many thanks for your trusted content!!
I love your Prequel products! You may already be working on this and it would be awesome if you would develop an oil cleanser. So many have tons of fragrance that irritate my skin. I swear by your gel cleanser!
I have developed an allergy on my face. I don’t know what is causing it but sunscreen seems to be suspicious. I’m struggling to have anti-aging and beneficial skin care without the allergy. Thanks for what you do!!
The only thing that I have found that I can use consistently without any burning/stinging/tomato red face is actually from the Dollar Tree: Skin Nutrition Botanicals Vitamin C Serum. I've used it for years (when it's in stock of course). More recently another brand called Global Beauty Care has also had some products that (so far) seem to work well for me. But even products marketed for sensitive skin don't usually work for me over time. Especially Aveeno for some reason. My skin hates Aveeno.
Super! Enjoy the Medik8 products - Would you please address the home lasers - are they effective and would you recommend them (Nira) - Thank you for sharing your time and expertise!
Yes please Prequel only for AM and PM. I just bought alot if the products, I want to use them correctly. However, this morning I was using them and it suddenly dawned on me, dang...this us alot if products to have to use to have good skin. 😢
Dr Sam what about making a video of the routine for those who are skincare veterans and have non-sensitive skin but want to maximize their routine and anti-aging game? I notice that nowadays there are so many videos about simple routines, sensitive skin and some of us are just on the other side of the spectrum - I want complex yet effective routine and my skin can handle a lot, maybe with some disclaimers you could do a video for skincare veterans?:))
This was very helpful! I would also love to see a prequel skincare routine. After the hypochlorus acid you only wait until it dries not 30 minutes right?
Once you have contact dermatitis, do you have it for life? I’ve recently been diagnosed with contact dermatitis to Fragrance Mix 1, and so many products I use to love, I can’t use now.
Yes, would love to see Prequel only routine. Side question: looking for recommendation for break outs for 12 year old. Using Cerave cleanser and moisturizer. Anything else we can use?
I’m glad to see Medik8 crystal retinal in your routine because I rarely see any dermatologist mentioning it. It’s formulation is amazing. As the concentration goes up the moisturising texture becomes more pronounced which helps to keep skin from dryness and shedding. As a pharmacist I definitely recommend trying this line if you’re intolerant to other retinoids 🤌🏼🤌🏼
Can you talk about using actives if the person waxes? How long does one need to wait between using an active and waxing? Is the timeline different for people of color? Can a person simply avoid using actives on the part of the face that is waxed?
Thanks! I think a lot of people are already familiar with Vanicream, but in my experience, it still doesn’t work for everyone. One of my goals with this channel is to introduce people to skincare that they might not know about otherwise!
Prequel Routine for Rosecea. I have quite a few of your products and they have truly been life changing for me *and* for my family. Thank you!!!!

Yes! Absolutely interested in Prequel themed skin care routines. 👍 Especially for various weather climates.
Yes please. I would really appreciate a Prequel-Only night time routine as I find Prequel addresses my sensitive 69 year old skin best. Thank you.
I would also like that
And also a morning routine - Prequel only!
Agreed! Prequel only routines would be amazing! Thank you!!
Only Prequel routines?!? Yes please!!!!! I love all your products so far. Just need help building routines. ❤❤❤
Yes please Prequel nighttime routine for rosacea and for uneven skintone, thanks
Yes, would love a video on all the prequel products and how to use them in daily routines. Thank you!
Love this can u do a morning routine too thank u
The eucerin q10 is a tiny jar though
Do your eyelids swell, or under eyes? I have a lot of trouble with my eyelids, but I also have psoriasis on my scalp so idk if it’s that or not
I am 64 years old, live in a dry climate, and have rosacea. I would like to see Prequel am and pm routines. I use several of your products and find them soothing and at an affordable price point for this retired teacher. Thanks so much for your channel!

Hehe I LOVE Gleanser, but wanted to provide an alternative (especially since Prequel isn’t available internationally…yet)
You don't look 61 in your photo.
Thanks for sharing!!
I’ve had all kinds of skin issues, from dryness to redness, but after trying the subliminal affirmations on borlest, my skin has become so much healthier and balanced. I’m really impressed!
Dr. Ellis what do you use to keep your teeth so white and bright? Maybe a little video on products and procedures for your teeth please and thank you
Yes!
She said on insta that she gets cleanings twice a year. Just one part of a larger routine probably
I’ve always had bad skin, especially acne, and I was tired of trying all the expensive stuff. The subliminal affirmations on borlest have honestly been the one thing that’s made a real difference. My skin feels so much better now.
Prequel only nighttime skincare routine sometime, please and thank you!
Eagerly awaiting some kind of retinoid product launch 👀
Great video! I use retina A (small amount) about 3-4 times a week and the other nights I use CeraVe exfoliating cream. Then I use neutrogena hydro boost cream. I have sensitive mature skin, these work well for me.
I am glad that you suggested this routine for sensitive skin. Thank you!
Your videos are always informative and enjoyable to watch. Would you consider doing a video about eczema? It’s causes and treatments? I’d really appreciate that. Thank you.
Love the Prequel ointment when my skin barrier is compromised. It heals and repairs very well.
At 66 years old, your brand, Prequel addresses my sensitive skin better than ANYTHING I have tried over the counter or so called "medical grade". Thankyou for the gentle ingredients!
I 100% would love a Prequel-based routine!

Yes!! Please do a morning and night Prequel routine and show us exactly how to use and combine everything 💙💙
I didn’t think anything could help with my acne scars, but after listening to the subliminal affirmations on borlest for a while, I’ve started to notice they’re actually fading. It’s such a relief.

Many many maaaaany thanks for becoming a guinea pig for us. Nothing equals a pro explanation + demonstration🧛🏻♀️🖤🖤🖤
Yep! Please do a vid on your routines with just your Prequel products!
I tried Bioderma Micellar Water and it made the skin under my eyes itch like crazy. I don’t have over-reactive skin. I use 0.1% Tretinoin, with no side effects at all.

Yep, I can tell if there is the slightest amount of niacinamide in a product, and it's everywhere!
Yes ! I used Cerave for years b/c derms push it but I left me flaky and irritated!
One more here! I didn’t know for a while why even applying products targeted for sensitive skin, my skin felt so spicy. Niacinamide burns my skin too! I thought it was in my head at first.
My problem is hyaluronic acid. It's in everything, but my skin hates it.
Dr Sam can you do a video on Tazarotene and photoaging. There are tons of info on Tretinoin and photoaging but little coverage on Tazarotene and photoaging. Thank you for ALL do you!
Geek & Gorgeous 101 A-Game 10 works great for my mature sensitive rosacea
Yes Please for Prequal! Ani aging, rosacea am and pm if possible! Thank you!
Your Lucent-C is the ONLY L-Asorbic acid products I've ever been able to tolerate! I have sensitive skin and it is great. Although the distribution method is not great, it sprayed me in the eye one time.

Yes, please! Day and night routine would be great for sensitive skin with Rosacea, which seems to be exacerbated by the hard water in our area. :(
Thank you so incredibly much.

I find that my Retin-A is moisturizing enough and I don't need a separate moisturizer. Makes my routine easier!
I've struggled with breakouts forever and nothing seemed to work. I’ve been listening to the subliminal affirmations on borlest for a few weeks now, and I swear my skin has never looked this clear. I didn’t expect it to work, but it really did.
I would love a prequel only routine! 56 with sensitive rosacea prone skin here
Your utility spray and redness reform serum allow me to be a little reckless with my actives. I now feel confident using actives knowing your products will save me - especially with my perioral dermatitis prone skin! I LOVE them SO MUCH!!!
And to clarify, any exfoliates is reckless on my PoD prone skin. But I know you got me!!!
Would love to have access to Prequel in Europe, and yes to a Prequel skincare routine. BTW I am also a skincare junkie and hoarder
Yes do prequel only routine for sensitive skin and / or accutane pt
Yes on your skin care routine for sensitive skin. I need the sensitive skin care diet. I’ve gotten where I sensitive to everything. Even to my hands.
Avoid fragrance and essential oils in skincare
Yes please do a prequel only routine! I have almost every one of your products.
Yes, please Prequel only routines
I hope u gonna make your retinol serum soon , I love your skin care brand!
Yes to Prequel!! Is it going to be on the shelves at Target or online??
Recently my friend complained me about her sensitive skin and wrinkles, and when I asked about her routines she answered that she wash her face with soap and that’s it…👀 till those moment I really believed that ALL women are familiarized about basic skincare. Great video, yes please to the Prequel skincare routine and bring Prequel to Canada...please please please
I started using the Stratia Night Shift on your recommendation and really like it. It is the only active I have ever tried that has not broken me out.
Yes to Prequel please!
Bioderma Micellar Water turns my face red; it’s a no-go for me
Yes - please do prequel solely evening routine and a prequel morning routine. Love your products!!!
Would love a Night Time Prequel only skincare routine. Is there a Prequel AM Routine?

I’ll try the micellar water you suggested in this video, but if that doesn’t work out, I’d like to know of other options I can try.
I wish you were located in my area - you are the GOAT dermatologist (Greatest of All Time). ❤
I would love prequel only night time routine as well a day routine! We love your products and would be nice to know how to do it properly! 😊
Please make routines that incorporate more of Prequel products! And how to incorporate them when using tret please!
Please create a prequel night and morning routine. Thank you!
I love your Prequel products! You may already be working on this and it would be awesome if you would develop an oil cleanser. So many have tons of fragrance that irritate my skin. I swear by your gel cleanser!
Thank you so much. The pace & the inserts really helped me take the info in. ❤😊
Yes for a rosacea prone skin routine! thank you
I’ve learned so much about my sensitive (cheeks and chest only 🤔) from you. I love these types of videos 💖
Big thank you for doing this video!!!
Avene products are really good for sensitive skin. Their blue gel cleanser is great.
Yes on the Prequel only nighttime routine, please!!
Love Prequel. Please make a tinted mineral sunscreen that does pill. Needed for very fair sensitive dry skin.
Could you please recommend an anti-aging product for the eyes for sensitive skin? Thanks!
I just started using your Glenser, and I am loving it!
Love your channel! I am 66, I do have good skin, but would like a suggestion for night time routine! I have been wanting to try Prequel! Thank you 😊
Would love to see some Prequel only routines and mixed Prequel and other brands routines.
Thank you for including and introducing the Vetted Labs brand.
This was very helpful! I would also love to see a prequel skincare routine. After the hypochlorus acid you only wait until it dries not 30 minutes right?
Love all your content. ❤
Yes please prequel only routine
please please please release mini prequel ointments! i want to be able to have one to carry in my bag for my lips and cuticles 💝💝
Can you do a skin routine for normal non sensitive skin also ?
Once you have contact dermatitis, do you have it for life? I’ve recently been diagnosed with contact dermatitis to Fragrance Mix 1, and so many products I use to love, I can’t use now.
Yes, would love to see Prequel only routine. Side question: looking for recommendation for break outs for 12 year old. Using Cerave cleanser and moisturizer. Anything else we can use?
Yes, would love to see an all evening skin car routine with Peequal products only.
Yes!!! Thank you!
Great video, Dr. Sam...but, WOW $86 for a moisturizer seems a bit excessive. Vanicream works great for sensitive skin and is a fraction of the cost.
Thanks! I think a lot of people are already familiar with Vanicream, but in my experience, it still doesn’t work for everyone. One of my goals with this channel is to introduce people to skincare that they might not know about otherwise!
Does anyone know if Prequel is cruelty free? It's not easy to find on the website.
