Glad he's back, he seems to know how to perfectly walk that line between serious threat and goofy which is perfect in professional wrestling. Those chairman entrances were pretty awesome too.

Yeah you'd think Cody would have figured out by now that there's a reason all those wrestlers put their hands up... and there was a reason WCW had everybody do those slow motion charshots that looked terrible. I guess Cody missed a few dozen memos.

Feel bad for Shawn, huge amount of momentum after that, and he fizzled. The entire build-up to that was that Shawn was a good hand and what that meant in wrestling. Then he was just regulated to that anyway

I am wondering, and kind of hoping, if we will get to see The Chairman Shawn Spears given another big Heel run and potentially join Bullet Club Gold, him and Juice Robinson teaming up could be very interesting.

So basically Shawn spears is the rock in that situation and Cody was mankind. Mick Foley told Rocky to hit me hard and the rock was like naw bro. Mick really talk him into it to make it believable.

Are we talking the I Quit match with rock and Foley? Because that was on Rock went well off script, you can hear in the match Foley shouting “in the back” and Rock gives him another multiple to the head
I really think AEW missed out on Spears. Idk if it was him and the AEW team that mishandled his gimmicks, but I really enjoyed his wrestling and thought he had the potential for something there.
He should’ve never parted ways with MJF they were really good together and the chairman gimmick was his best one

It's crazy the stupid bumbs Cody took in AEW. The chairshot, the injury above the eye, the flaming table...

The lack of proper respect shown to this man is astounding.

His debut was huge but it fizzled out real quick. Same for all the debuts that happen in AEW. Christian Cage is the only pro wrestler that looks comfortable on mic and kinda has a bit of personality along with MJF, they both keep me hooked throughout their promos. Others are just bathroom breaks on mic. Jungle boy is just a pain to watch when he has mic in his hand. My biggest concern with AEW is the guy who is incharge of camera transitions, whoever is in that big truck managing that needs to up his game. One of the transitions showed Mike Tyson yawning ffs and it took them a hot minute to move the camera back to action. Again this comes from a fan of wrestling. I've started to like Impact more than AEW now. Their champ, Steve Maclin shows hunger when he puts up a match even though he is a bit green but when Claudio defended his belt against Eddie, out of the ring promo wise, all the heavy lifting was done by Eddie, lazy wrestler but an amazing promo guy. AEWs roster lacks hunger to be the best. Just a few things that I have on my mind right now but there's a lot more.
I agree. I feel like the roster don’t have any passion to make their segment/match better(with the exception of a handful of guys).
