    The fact Cody speaks about people, who he clearly doesn't like, but still can be very genuine about his respect for them, is amazing and why I enjoy Cody in everything he does. He does this a lot.

      I watched another interview with Seth where he talked about texting Cody for info about a match, so I think the rivalry is just their characters ;) I mean Cody's dad trained Seth and they've been wrestling together since Seth's shield days.

    If I had to guess, admittedly reading other comments, they likely wanted Seth to win and maybe even convincingly, since they knew Cody would be on the shelf. However, Seth likely refused, did the job to Cody and that’s why we ended up with Seth attacking Cody the next night on RAW, to have him written off.

    Seeing this after Cody and Seth teamed up at mania 40 is just amazing. No chance of friendship, yet there they are, best of friends in one of the hugest matches in WWE history

    So reading between the lines and i could be wrong i think the choice Cody is talking about is once they knew he got hurt and the severity of it they wanted Seth to win the match but Seth said no and told them to let Cody win..

    If that is the case, Seth definitely made the right choice here. It put both of them in a great spot working it the way they did and made the match that much more memorable then it just looking like a job match because of that injury.
