    Did over 100 of these joy jumps, empty sky and short sticks 1000ft.
    Night time sim 32`s from multiple aircraft is a whole different game, @650 ft over dodgy dz`z pissin rain or snow.
    Happy days, not to be missed. No videos, just memories, some bad but all good. U.P.

    As ex 2 para I think that the time has come to have a trade union. I am being forced to attend a Coroners inquiry for the deaths on the "Day of Internment" 47 years ago with possible criminal action to follow. There is Gerry Adams head of the IRA with more blood on his hands than anyone during the Northern Ireland conflict enjoying his retirement and big pension. We are being persecuted and prosecuted for incidents 47 years ago to appease the IRA who killed many Paras. Even our wives were killed during the bombing of our 2 para officers mess in Aldershot. I am asking you to protest and a good idea would be to lay our medals at the foot of the cenotaph. Serving soldiers now may have the same problem in the future so no thinking it might not happen to you. We need to march, yes, against the Government with black cam faces. Please post any ideas you may have.

    2 Para are the best. How old is the video as when I was in 2 para they had put a net around the chute to stop it oscillating. Next time shout steer away or may come done quicker than you wanted.

      I did a drop when I was in the TA and the lads told me to watch out for the guy who was in front of me. They reckoned he was a Jonah. Bullshit, I thought. On existing I was sliding down a chute. The idiot had pulled his reserve as soon as he’d got out of the door. Why? Fuck knows but it scared the crap out of me.

    How come theyre allowed cameras during an exercise?
    Is it only allowed in certain cases, with special permission?
    If someone can answer these questions for me that would be great! 😁

    • @husky2297
      @husky2297 4 года назад +1

      I believe that they are allowed cameras for exercises and deployments but all footage needs to be reviewed by someone before being given the green light to post it.

      It's a funny old game, I used to put a Canon eos camera round my neck to take stills after I had checked my canopy and made sure I was in clear airspace ... The British PJI's check your parachute is fitted properly in the hangar before you see the aircraft, and this is their chance to say No to anything like this, remembering that if you have a camera strapped round your neck not properly tucked away down the front of your smock it could tangle on exit and separate your head from your body ... Nobody ever mentioned anything to me on seeing my camera. I think the answer is, if a PJI sees a young nervous newbie trying to enhance his jump with photos or gopro, he would probably say No, I had got to the stage where fitting a parachute and equipment had become natural and so photography seemed a worthwhile progression of my experiences. We were as these guys are now, professionals and were afforded the freedom to tweek our equipment.
