I've been engraving now for about 2 months. Buying aluminum sheets, sanding, then painting. May I ask where and what type of sheets are you purchasing? It looks much higher quality then what I'm using. Also thank you for sharing your work, I've taken all your advice on bits and technique and am getting good at this, so again thank you.

I’ve just passed the first assessment centre for army waiting on my parachute regiment assessment centre date

Nice one lots and lots of PT consistently. Work on your strength training and CV as much as possible and do as much research as you can before you head to basic training then you’ll be in a good position to pass with flying colours
