I was fortunate enough to meet Major Chris Keeble a few years after the Falklands war. He was part of a management team leading a residential management course I was on. Many of the Argentines were poorly trained and very young. So the English forces tore through them easily once they made contact. Also, Argentina's citizens did not want the war, it was forced upon them by their Government. The UK actually held back to quite an extent, they had the ability to take the Island back with a massive overwhelming force, but instead chose to send a much smaller force. I suppose it was to not agitate other nations, but the US would not have acted that way if Guam or a similar Island was invaded.
