please before you cook the quinoa wash it very well... in order to take out the saponin inside that makes it bitter and its toxicity it is good to keep away the insects but it can make you feel bad if you have certain sensitivity, if you think it is ok because in the package says pre washed I still recommend you to wash it because even on the best brands I find this soapy water. Please don't get it wrong I am Peruvian and we use quinoa for many many generations and we want you to have the best experience and not to come back saying that it was bad for your stomach, I just want to help. My best of the wishes for your channel ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Another tip on top of washing it before, when it’s being boiled there’s a layer of “foam” that comes out. You want to scoop that away, it looks almost like a layer of fat and it just sits there (idk the correct term for it). That causes bloating and other irritations.
For the Mediterranean one, substitute the tahini sauce with olive oil, lemon juice, and a small dash of salt. Sprinkle some feta cheese on the top(optional). That's how we normally make our salads. Tahini is better served with hot dishes. For example, add a grilled protein of choice with roasted potatoes and/or roasted vegetables on top of a bed of cooked quinoa then drizzle the tahini on top.
If you do rinse out which bob’s red mill doesn’t seem to need to be rinsed but as I did it help quinoa bloom so 1 cup quinoa to 1 3/4 cups water or veg stock works well especially if you want that texture..2 cups water starts to make it look mushy. Parsley, mint and lemon juice is awesome for the garbanzo recipe…no need to make a dressing really…all good recipes! Kale is hard on my throat so I usually usually wilt it in a pan with olive oil and some salt..cool it and add to whatever I’m making. 😊🙏🏽🙋🏻♀️👍🏽Mia
I love this so much, most videos I’ve watched start with someone saying how fast and easy a recipe is and then they proceed to make a 150 step recipe that dirties every dish in the house. This is fast and simple and they all look delicious.
Definitely making all of these! In the future would you consider adding a "shopping list" in the description box? I would love to just screenshot a list for the grocery store. Thanks!
I just found you this morning and I am so excited! I buy Bob’s Red Mill occasionally, but now they’re on my radar as a regular. The bowls look incredible as I now am ready to go all-in vegan. Your video is informative and the meals look delicious! Thank you so much for explaining to the “newbies” who want to increase plant based meals.
I tried the pesto bowl and it was awesome!!! The only substitute I made was that I did not have the seeds but I found an equivalent seed in the powder form to sprinkle on top. I’ve made it several times now. One time I swapped the peas for garbanzo beans and that was good too. Many thanks for this recipe.
I gave birth a month ago and have changed my diet to something healthier and your videos help so much! The dishes always come out so delicious I look forward to eating and feel so good and guilt free in the end thank you! ❤️
Been thinking about going vegan. Did it a year ago but wasn't really aware of a lot of replacements that I know about now. Giving up meat is hard but there are a lot of great meals you can have without meat. Plus I'm at the age where my health is the most important thing. Thanks!
Simply Quinoa, that was simply amazing! I am a fitness oriented person and being a vegetarian all these quick recipes with meat are super useful for me. Especially with all the lovely colors and subtle flavours.
They all look delicious. I will try them tomorrow. thanks for the tipps. I will use bulgurwheat instead of quinoa as i have bulgur in my cupboard. Hope that is ok.
@@Simplyquinoa hi! Love the recipes. What is the mushroom looking ingredient you added to the Moroccan bowl? I listened a couple times and couldn't catch it. Thank you!
Thank you so much for delicious quinoa bowl recipes so far I've made the Mexican style and absolutely loved it and looking forward to making the other choices. The only thing is I really watch my carbs so I only put about 1/4 cup of quinoa for each serving
New subscriber here in Canada. I love salads and quinoa. Cooked quinoa this week and mixed with beans, cucumber, peppers, tomatoes; and has been eating this for almost a week now. I've been looking for different quinoa salad recipes and found your video. Will definitely try these recipes. I'm curious to try the Moroccan quinoa bowl, first (love pistachios and dates).
Girl you got it going on! I love these recipes and am so glad you shared them.I was getting a little stuck with the same flavor profiles and these are just what I was looking for. Also I like how you filmed it with the bowl being the highlight so I could really see what you were putting in them.I am a seeing to learn person.I also think it is more calming to see the food rather then always see the host.Thank you!!!! Love Ava
Alyssa, thanks. Great video. My favorite is the Asian bowl. I like your simplicity of ingredients and variation. I would generally like to chop my ingredients for my bowls more. So for carrots, dice instead of slice. And chiffonade the cilantro and parsley. But just my preference.
I ADORE Bob's Red Mill !! I absolutely need No Wheat(allergic) and Bob's Red Mill makes Gluten free products that are easy on my sensitive digestive system!
So glad that I could hear the video, because the subtitles were completely off. It was talking about everything from pizza to soup 😐- very strange. I really liked the pesto version of your quinoa bowl though 🙂
Just wanted to say thanks for these. We rotate through each one about once a month. We add more to all of them, especially the Mexican one, but love them all.
Can't wait to try these quinoa bowls. I am moving to a more plant based diet (only eat salmon or fish three (3) meals per week). These will most certainly help me on my journey. 🧡
I love these ideas, I also love that I don’t have to watch you mixing up every dressing or chopping all the veggies. Now I can hop to the links I need! I would really like to see warm mixed grain cereal ideas for breakfast.
I’m starting off wanting to become vegetarian, n found this vegan recipes video of yours. I’ve bought the Mexican, Mediterranean, and pesto bowl ingredients i cant wait to try them! Thankyou for this video! I love how you explained making them. I know they’re be so yum already. 💖
I make amazing quinoa bowls. I bought me some big salad plates to add all kinds of healthy toppings. 😋🥗 my friends and family love my pics of my meals.
It look delicious. Thank you for the variety of recipies. I would love to learn variety of recipies with oatmeal, other grains, and different kind of homemade healthy dressings. thank you
We recreated her recipes on our youtube channel and i have to say both of our favorites had to be the Mexican & Mediterranean one!!!! 🤤 thank you so much simply quinoa for this amazing recipe! The prep time was quick & making the bowls were so simple!
These all look amazing. When I cook my quina though I always use some type of stock and I toss a bay leaf in there too 🤤 a little extra but it gives it so much flavor.
Thanks for this lovely video, showcasing whole grains and colorful veggies! 👍😊 These recipes are so ME! I do a "bowl" for lunch pretty much every day of the week, they are so easy to throw together for my work lunch the next day. And when I'm home for lunch on the weekend, they are also so easy and fast to put together. I always cook a pot of grains at the beginning of the week (quinoa, rice, millet, buckwheat groats, whatever I feel like for that week!), and this saves me a lot of prep time. Every bowl can be different, depending on what kind of veggies, beans/tofu/tempeh, and sauce I use, so I never get bored, and it's always delicious! 😋 The recipes you showed here have given me even more ideas for yummy bowls. I am a fellow pesto lover, too!
I make quinoa all the time but rarely jazz it up like this aside from the Mexican version. Definitely going to do a couple of these next week for lunches! Thanks!

A friend told me that they also soak quinoa for hours or over night to keep the saponin out the same thing from mung beans? Not sure how she said it
Thank you so much. I am new to Quinoa. And I will make sure to wash it before cooking.
Thank you for the amazing advice! Appreciate it!

Saponin is useful. Where did you get this from? And why we shouldn’t eat it?
