  • When my parent’s home was robbed, for some reason the burglars took a metal box that contained 8mm reel to reel videos, most of them of us kids during our formative years. A few were not taken including this footage from my dad's time serving in Korea. He was a mechanic and electrician. Most of the vehicles that he worked on were produced my Nissan Motor Corporation. Following WWII (the war to end all wars), Nissan almost went bankrupt. But the U.S. Army contracted Nissan to build vehicles for the war effort. Notice my father hand cranking this vehicle while another G.I. forces the throttle open (clear flood mode). My dad was a great man. He served when called upon and was a diehard Cub fan. Music by Stan Kenton and his orchestra. Video edits by Brian Olivo.
