- what it's like to be a bookseller - a day working at my rural bookshop
Today I wanted to share an updated version of my last bookshop video, as I've been working at my local bookshop for about a year and have gained a lot of experience as a bookseller. I work there on the weekend, and balance it with my main job of running my shop and making these videos. I also thought I'd share what I've been reading and some other fun tidbits of the job.

Hello everyone! I’ve been working at my bookshop for about a year now so I thought I’d give a little update! I am quite limited with how much I can film due to customers, so this is a short video but I did my best - I hope you are all doing well ❤️ much love
Tendrás algún mail al que te pueda escribir, muchas gracias!
Hi!
I don't follow all of your videos but to be honest, whenever I miss something calm, chill, slow days, warm, I will immediately thinking about your life & your videos.
This video of sharing your daily days is very calming & it making me feel relax.
Maybe someday you can share a bit of the books that considered as old lady books by your beautiful customers with us 😊
Thank you for all your efforts & hard works making this video
... ❤️🙏🌹
I was too shy to approach you at the shop last Thanksgiving to say hello, maybe I'll be braver this November. It's a lovely shop. Reading James Herriot. Hubby gave me the series as a wedding present (35 years ago), so it's extra special, and I'm a veterinarian.
Thank you Paola for the lovely tour of the bookstore. You creativity and uniqueness just helps me get inspired to get my creativeness flowing.
In an ever increasing digital age it’s SO refreshing to see people who still get into reading. Books are friends to me and I’ve had many a real life adventure that were originally inspired by my lifelong love of reading & writing.
Same here!💝
I am an only adult child 63. My mom read to me as a toddler. So all my life I have loved books 📚 . They are my friends and taken me to places I wanted to go.
Absolutely agree Courtney. You are in fact a kindred spirit. 🌸
@@teresakryvenchuk6205 That's so sweet!
The thing about real physical books is, for me at least, when I read an old edition of a classic, such as one of favorites, an 1870 Chapman and Hall edition of Charles Dickens _The Old Curiosity Shop_ that I have, you can not only literally feel the imprint of the ink for the text and illustrative etchings under your fingertips, but you can almost feel the fingertips of all the other readers who enjoyed it for generations before you.
Digital may be perfect for automotive repair manuals, but a screen simply can't copy that _feel_ of an old book - at least not yet anyway.
I lost my mum 2 weeks ago, and found your videos late one night while I was very upset. I’m finding them very calming and soothing. Thank you
I'm sorry for your very sad loss 😢. Sending you a big hug, Sharon.
I am so sorry for your loss, Sharon. I am sending healing energy your way. I hope you can find some peace today, even if only for a moment
Hugs to you Sharon stick with Paola and you cant go wrong. Sorry for your loss...take care🤗🌹 regards from Western Australia
im so sorry :(( im sure your mom is happy seeing you trying to heal
Bless you sharon.. I send you a healing hug and of course I'd like to say I'm sure yiur mum is at peace watching you heal and move forward with your memories of your darling mum.💓💓
As a non-English speaker I really appreciate how clear your pronunciation is, I can understand every word you say and it makes it all so much easier and enjoyable to watch. have you ever thought about making an audio book? I'm not an audio book fan myself, I really prefer to read books on my own but I would really like to hear you read any book, you have the perfect soft and clear voice for it! ♡
Ahh!! I’m so glad it is helpful to you! I was raised in a bilingual household so perhaps that impacted how I speak - and I will have to think about audiobooks, it sounds very fun - thank you for sharing ❤
Yes she has the perfect voice to read books.
I would love to add to this. I struggle to sleep, and listening to an audio book softly spoken before bed really helps me. You're voice is super soothing and I would love listening to an audio from you!! ❤
I also would love to lisen something read by you
@@TheCottageFairy i would love to hear a podcast or an audio book made by you
Dear cottage fairy I want to say that your videos have changed my life. I started watching them almost a year ago and since then I've been dreaming, believing in myself and started seeing life as a work of art. Tbh this channel was one of the main things that allowed me overcome depression. Thank you for existing!!
- Another introvert.
❤❤❤ sending you a big hug, thank you so much for sharing❤
Getting ready to re read Anne of green gables series and Harry Potter series re read those every October Anne of green gables started when I was a teenager.I love your videos they are beautiful and comforting.
I am reading Jane Austen at Home written by Lucy Worsley, I love Jane Austen or anything to do with her, also I love Lucy Worsley who is an historian, these are my "go to" things that help to cheer me up when I'm feeling low, and happy even, including yourself of course .each of you are amongst my most favourite people I would most like to meet in the world. Wishing you a very happy and cozy Autumn 🍂 😊 X
@@valeriemcwilliam7933 I listened to this as an audiobook earlier this year and it was so good! I hope you're enjoying it, too.
I too work as a part-time bookseller in a small shop - but in Paris. That's very inspiring to see the routine of your colleagues all around the world. Cheers :)
That sounds lovely
Bonjour, pouvez vous me donnez l’adresse de la boutique s’il vous plaît ? J’adorerai soutenir cette librairie !!
Paola, there's good reason that you have amassed so many followers. Your content is a pure light in this bizarre world, and watching it is like curling up with a great book and a mug of tea. Thank you for the time you take to share your creative vision. 💚
so true..so well said. thank you
Indeed. May her continue to inspire more people who want have such an amazing life.
Amen!
I've been reflecting on why I look after a week or so to see if you've posted a new video. As someone who has had anxiety for most of my lifetime, I"m 75, there is something about your videos that reduces anxiety and stress for me. A re-centering if you will. I'm grateful for that brief respite that your videos give me. In a world that I have not in my lifetime seen so stressed as it is now I think this kind of break is necessary for one's well being. good job Paola.
Me too! Love your comment...ps doing keto has helped anxiety ...watch dr ken berry on you tube✌️
Your love for books and the secrets they tell is very evident and so refreshing. As a child, I was very solitary due to family circumstances. Thankfully my mom kept me in books which took me far away and everywhere. That joy has never left me and I have been known to read 10 to 15 books a month. I love to reread my favorites as I view them as old friends. Thank you for reminding me of the love of books as a child and what they did for me. ❤
I relate to the “solitary”. My genre is anything pertaining to gardens. I also love autobiography.
what are some of your favorite books??
@@MGARTsubscribe I like a variety of genres and some of my all time favorites are the series by James Herriot, the adventures of a country vet in rural England. Also, the sci fi series by Anne McCaffrey where humans and dragons unite to save the planet from an other world menace and I also love the laugh out loud series by Janet Evanovich about the misadventures of the world’s worst bounty hunter. 🙂
10 books/month with month=30 days. Means every 3 days 1 book. Probably depends on the book.^^
@@tomswan3401 I am a fast reader. Always have been. 🙂
"Once-Upon-A-Time", I too was a bookseller in a small town in Michigan, which was located in an authentic log cabin. I was a part-time employee, so my time there was limited, however I found it to be a very pleasurable. I'm thinking about that log cabin right now. I love books, and my home has at least one bookcase in every room. 🙂
MandyOf Marymac,
is by any chance the bookstore
you referred to
The Cottage Bookshop
in Glen Arbor Michigan?
If so, I love that place. When I go
"Up North" and in that area I go there. It's just the best! I hope it lives forever. Do you still live in Michigan? I am from Dearborn.
When Paola's book is available, I will order from the bookstore where she works. Cheers 🐢
@@SisterShirley ~ You found me out! I loved living in Glen Arbor, but due to my health starting to decline, my children move me to the family compound near TC. I really miss GA, but you know how that old saying goes, bloom where you are planted, so I have. Thanks for the response.🙂
So lovely to spot some other Michiganders in the comments! I have such fond memories of The Cottage Bookshop, and that part of Michigan in general.
This is awesome. Im a michigander and will have to add this to my must do to explore. Thanks for sharing, blessings to you.
I love cozy mysteries. Been reading that genre for years. I like that they are called old lady books. I embrace that! 😊
I too love my old lady cozy books 📚. Nothing like a book, tea , and a warm wrap to have a wander to wonderful places and friends. Love the page art.
I live in a large house in an affluent neighborhood. I am realizing your footage is better than any fancy house and your lifestyle is so much better than ours
Thank you for taking us with you on your day.
Loved being a bookseller for over 20 years both Indies and chains. I used to love how people would come in all the time and ask if we just sat there and read all day 🤣🤣🤣
At the end of the night when you want to close, if you have customers ask them to help you vacuum they will move along quickly! 😂
I hope your husband tells you everyday how beautiful you are, because you are.. inside and out.
Blessings to you.
I know I’ve said this before, but I’m so encouraged by reading the comments. So many interesting people from a myriad of places and lifestyles. Yet we all find joy and comfort in watching your channel. Thank you so much for all the hard work you put into making each episode! I love seeing your little book store. I would never get paid if I worked there!🤦🏻♀️ 💕📚
Hi Paola loved this video done at the little bookshop. You always make me happy to share your life with all of us. I had to laugh at the ladies coming to the shop requesting Old Lady books to read. I am one of those old ladies and love to read too. Just recently I read Little Women for the first time and last night I watched the movie of the same. Very enjoyable. Love to see your little kitty keeping you company and that wonderful black lab of yours. Nice idea to decorate the books that you plan to give for gifts to friends. I get my books from the book store at our local library (very reasonable) and also paper backs from our senior center for practically nothing at all and sometimes even for no cost in the free box. I am soon to be 83 so I would be right in line with all the other old ladies for your suggestions. Love watching all your videos. Thanks for sharing all your days with us. You have a great guy there with you too.
Paola, I loved the beginning of this video with the squirrel and bird close ups. The book store is so lucky to have you working there with your love of books to inspire customers. Have you read the James Herriot books? He writes about a vet working in Yorkshire, England. The pace is lovely and the adventures are based on real life experience.
“ALL CREATURES GREAT AND SMALL”. and so on.
Wishing you happiness in this season of Fall. Oh, your kitten looked so peaceful on the quilt. ☺️🍁🌻🧡🍂
I LOVE your idea of customizing books for gifts. You are so creative and I appreciate that you share your ideas!
*I think we are many who can agree that you have the dream job* 😍
How lovely! I long to own a bookstore. To be surrounded by books everyday is life!
Have been following your channel for more than a year now. I rarely do ever comment on RUclips channels, but I must say I absolutely like your journey. Also, I really adored your old cottage and your pets too. Best wishes 👍
Being a bookseller must be a big dream come true. The whole backdrop reminds me of a fairytale. Overall, it seems you're very passionate about what you're doing for a living. Continue to work hard. We'll all be here to support.
As a child, one of my favorite books with talking animals was the Wind in the Willows by Kenneth Grahame. After your video today, I feel the need to reread it, as it has been decades and decades since I lost myself in the adventures of Mr. Toad, Rat, Badger and Mole. Thank you Paola. Your video was inspiring as always.
I loved that book and want to reread it as well!
@Angie, oh my goodness, The Wind in the Willows was one of my favorites as well! Did you get to re-read it? ☺️❤️
I was gifted that book by a teacher when I was young and absolutely loved it. It was such a great escape and thinking about it brings back great memories.
Your dress is so lovely in this video, very autumnal.
I believe that if Tasha Tudor had lived in this age instead of a few short decades ago, she would have had a channel so similar to this. Thank you for bringing simplicity, beauty, and an appreciation of the delights of home to this space. 🧡🍁
“There is a very eccentric and whimsical old lady in my heart” Same! 😊 Lovely video as always. Enjoy the beauty of Fall! I’m looking forward to the beautiful Fall videos. 🧡🍂🎃
I hope to become that same Lady myself!
My very first job in high school was at a bookshop owned by my friend's Dad. I loved it! Then when my 3 noisy sons were in school I worked part-time at our local library. I loved the quiet!!! :) We got our love for books from our parents and I'm so grateful. My Mom volunteered at the local library for over 30 years after we grew up.
The library is one of our country's most important institutions, may they forever be supported!
@@conniediaz6456 I so agree, Connie! :)
My favorite bookstores are used bookstores. I could spend over an hour in one easily and the finds are so personally satisfying.♥️
I loved the idea of customizing the books! How beautiful, what a perfect gift.
I’m not sure when I started following, some time ago, as research to start a RUclips channel with my son. You have evolved from a research project to a true inspiration. I’m a 70 year old that has lived a very full life, and continue to do so, but
I must say I look forward to each new video from you. Being a visual artist I can say your talent in lighting , composition and film making is excellent. Thank you for continued great content. It’s obvious why your channel continues to grow. Well done.
Also the choice of music 🎶 in the background is very enjoyable. Love the piano 🎹 pieces.
Aww Paola, everything you get yourself involved in, shows us a gentle yet courageous side of you...I love seeing you open to the world within your own terms by allowing things that bring kindness to your heart and soul...
I would love to have access to a small owned bookstore like the one you work in! Unfortunately, i haven't seen one in many years...
You're a treasure!💝
Ahh! ❤❤ thank you so so much
I’m reading Sense and Sensibility again for the hundredth time because it is my favorite. It stirs conversations between myself and my daughters so I never get tired of it. It is a cozy read for me.❤
I loved volunteering in my junior high library… oh the smell of books, book stores ❤️… I’m currently reading.. the paper girl of Paris! Despite growing older I have always been an old soul at ❤️…thank you for sharing with us!
I am reading Anna Karenina by Tolstoy. I had looked at it with apprehension for some time - it is so long! It's one of my son's favorite books so I finally decided to try it and I'm loving it - the characters, the interrelationships, the atmosphere - everything. No talking animals but definitely a lovely book!
I love how you personalized your books for gifts, they look beautiful ❤️❤️❤️. I love reading books, going to the bookstore and the smell is amazing.
I think the thing that I love most about your videos is the montages of images- the way that you celebrate small things mirrors the way I have felt my whole life, struck through with joy by the sight of a well-woven wreath on a green door or stunned to a moment of silence by a particularly beautiful flower or the history of care communicated by the foxing on an old book.
I've always loved the peaceful feelings I get in a book store. When I was an elementary teacher, we had regular Scholastic Book Fairs. Watching my students swarm over the new books always made me happy. Thank you for sharing your day!
I used to read books and not be able to put them down. Unfortunately as a teacher I lost my love as reading, especially after I had a mental and physical breakdown. I haven’t even read the last book by one of favourite author Dan Brown. I hope eventually I can get back to my love of books, though it had been 6 years since I left work. ❤️🇬🇧
After burnout I was not able to read. And what helped was re-reading books I loved as a kid. Maybe that helps someone else as well, take care 🥰
@@tajat866 I might try that, Thankyou 🙏
I read children’s books and enjoy the pictures again. I’m reading ones that I barely remember and classics I never read. It has reminded me of why I fell in love with reading in the first place. Sweet, wholesome stories that refresh. I’m so sorry about your struggle and pray you are restored soon. I understand this more than you know. 😢 *hugs* Burnout can steal so much. Take care❤
@@julieroberson868 Thankyou Julie 😊🇬🇧
It took me a year and a half....then I started with (in my case) lesser known music scores, ones I in no way connected to teaching. My burnout was breakdown bad and worse. But, I finally retrieved my first love (I am a pianist), limpid as a blackbird's song after the rain. I imagine it could be the same after teaching literature? Maybe try a miniature by some author you don't associate to anything?
Just a thought. Worked for me,
. Now preparing recitals of an entirely new repertoire, and loving it. After years of (what in my case was) miserable teaching drudgery...
I really hope you enjoy reading again soon. Burnout is rough.
I so loved this episode and the idea of placing little sweet expressions of one’s own creativity with artwork on the side pages view of books. I will be doing it! Not just for gifts, but for my own books that I treasure, my own personal journals too! Thank you for your continual reminder that these sweet simplicities of life in our daily living bring enormous fulfillment and exquisite joy. Thank you, Paola!
I worked at Borders when I was in college. While it was a corporate bookstore, it had a very cozy and independent feel and I was so sad when the company dissolved. I learned so many things there from specializing in the reference section, to becoming periodicals specialist and I also loved my turns in the music department and cafe. It was wonderful and I have fond memories of the friends I made there.
I found your channel 4 to 5 months ago, I have watched all of your videos in order
from oldest to the newest. I caught up a month ago. Within that month, I have lost
my Mother-in-law, the entire house caught C*v*d. Me, my wife, 14 year old son, and one very active, non-verbal
severely autistic 8 year old son. My sickness lingered, now I found out I need to get a artery catherization
surgery. Your videos has bought me great joy, especially anything book related. I live in a very small town like you in NC. Thank you for all the videos Paola
What a lovely community you have gathered about you here on RUclips Paola, thankyou so much. The customisation of your Christmas gifts was so beautiful. I used to work in our town library and my favourite part of the job was being sent into the back stacks to look for old books - the smell! ☺️
I love old books especially the 1920s. I find it a very interesting period for writing. It’s caught between modern and old time writing I find my cup of tea.
I love bookshops and libraries. I love the smell and the hush and being surrounded by so many vacations of the mind.
Hi Paola ❤ I am reading “The Absorbent Mind” by Maria Montessori. I’m so amazed at the author’s points of view about “little humans” (0 -6 year olds) and I’m finding so much wisdom in her teachings that even though I am a fast reader, I am reading it very slowly and even rereading some statements that I find just so incredibly fabulous!! Thank you for sharing your time and life with us. ❤❤
Thank you for sharing this. Will need to get this as well!
I too love an occasional good Cozy Mystery, usually of the British variety, perhaps because I am an old lady. Until COVID hit, I volunteered for 5 yrs. in a used book run for a good cause. You're right, it's difficult not to buy every week. One of the better parts is talking with other book lovers, keeping an eye out of something you think they'd like.
I worked in a college Library when I was a student, we enjoyed it so much , peaceful and rewarding ,,,,
❤❤❤
I love how you customize the books you will be giving as gifts. Thank you for this wonderful peak at your job.
Collecting books is a wonderful hobby and "used" and "thrifted" books are just a way to give good things a new home. And Paola, your videos are much like a good book - peaceful, nice, and a time-out from the crazy world - Thank you!
There is something so comforting about being in a book store, the adventures in reading books are endless and for a little while it's a great distraction to what you maybe going through, a chance to escape for a bit and be peaceful. Love this video 📚📚📖🥰
I love bookstores! My local bookstore has been a non guilty pleasure for decades. Thank you for showing us your special place.
How lovely it is that such jobs exist for those of us who are introverted or simply seekers of silence. I always enjoyed folding displays when I worked in retail. Thank you for sharing your book project. It's absolutely beautiful.
I'm reading Neverending story for the first time, I absolutely love it ❤️ In Romania we have this public library service for corporations, it's called Bookster. I work at a call center and I can benefit from borrowing any book they have in the categories fantasy, sci-fi, self - help, psychology, even some science ones, free of charge ❤️
Wow, I just love the way you customised those books! Whoever receives them as gifts will feel very blessed by you xx
Congratulations on a million subscribers. I've been watching you since you had about 50K. Thank you for all the grace and beautiful images of my home state of WA.

Such a beautiful video! As an English major in college, I know the immense beauty and power of books, and it's lovely to hear you talk about your job and your passion for book collecting. The perfect life, so it seems to me. I am on the lookout (almost constantly) for a job that suits me better as a hsp. Your videos calm me down and make me happy, especially at times when I am overwhelmed or squashed by the world. The books that I will be reading this October and Fall are fairy & folk tales. (I have read most of Tolkien's work, and now I'm moving on to this genre.) Specifically, I will be reading "A Treasury of Irish Fairy & Folk Tales", "Woodland Folk Tales of Britain and Ireland", "The Anthology of Scottish Folk Tales", "The Anthology of English Folk Tales", "Japanese Myths & Tales" and "Chinese Myths & Tales". With highest appreciation, gratitude and best wishes from the Netherlands.

I FIND peace in your voice. Your voice is really peacefull☺️. You are a real fairy to my life😌
Lovely video Paola, as always. Your creative embellishments to the books are the best! 🧡
You have a amazing looking bookshop. Reading has always provided hours of escape into a wonderful world of imagination. We all need to return to return to this enchanted practise!
I never felt bored by seeing your video. It is so refreshing
When I need serenity and beauty, I stop to watch your videos... I would really like to live in your wonderful places, your book store would be the fixed point of my day!
Have you considered drawing your own cozy animal mystery characters? It would be lovely to have prints or stickers of such drawings available in your Etsy store someday. Hope your Fall is magical and full of joy.
Just watching you in the bookstore made me want to head to a bookstore - the scent and feel of the books, textures and colors - possibilities an stories waiting to be discovered. For the final 16 years of my teaching career, I worked as a library instructor for ages PreK2 - 5th grade. I miss purchasing the books, reading to the children and placing the "just right" book in their hands once I had established a rapport with each of my students. Children's books are magical. For my personal reading, I enjoy historical fiction. Your love of "old lady" books inspires me to try some of the titles you shared. Happy Reading!
My room is a little library of a few hundreds. It feels so cosy and i just love the smell of books. I have read many of them. Watching you has been a joy and i would love have more books and write some in the future. It is a good hobby and i realised now that it is a dying good hobby. Feels special to be among remnants of book readers. God bless you all.
There’s a mystic quality to the video editing that makes me wish I could be in the shop & the town like going through the closet to Narnia or any place I want to stay & enjoy like when I’d go to Borders book store @ lunch just to hang out, pick up a book,be around books & book people. Her videos make me feel like I’m at Borders again. Thank you for your portrait of a book store.
The Redwall series is wonderful and I'm betting you've read it! Such imaginative stories and animal characters! I read them aloud to my son when he was young. He still talks about how much he loved them and he is now 39!
I had forgotten about Redwall!!! Oh my God I'm about to go find these now I loved them sooo much! 😁
Thanks for your comment, I've just looked up the series and look forward to reading. I just love this cottage fairy channel, the community spirit in the comments is the best on RUclips 🤗
What a lovely idea to customize the books. Thank you for all your share with us. Wishing you, Luke, and furbabies a blessed week.
How delightful those book edges are. Fun, lighthearted. Never thought of doing this.
At your suggestion in a previous video, I bought 2 used TumTum & Nutmeg books. My 8 year old granddaughter is enjoying every Wednesday afternoon with me as I read to her the stories with my voice changing depending upon which character is speaking. Thank you so much for your suggestion. I hope she fondly remembers our time together. Best wishes 🌸
I just read the Cottage Tales of Beatrix Potter this summer! They were so enchanting and delightful! 🦉🐶🐱🦊🐭🐰🐮 The first 3 were the best, I think, because in the later books I wasn’t too fond of the narrator inserting herself in the story….but the characters were so charming that I managed to overlook it. 🌱🍃🍂💐
I have been struggling with my anxiety since covid and civil unrest happened in my country. Its been 3 years now that I have been back home in my hometown. I struggle daily with boredom, the claustrophobia that the tiny town gives me. I still can’t adapt to the town I grew up in. One of the dreams of mine was to leave this town and live myself authentically in the city when I finished high school and going to university. But watching your videos had taught me to be a much more peaceful person in this chaotic situations of mine. I have been learning more about making peace with ends that are not in my capabilities to meet. Appreciating what I have and how to live better. I love watching your videos every time I take a break from my studies and my job. Thank you so much for making these videos.
Nothing better than cozy mysteries. Your voice is so soothing!
My favorite book content I love books You are making that book videos so cozy I am looking forward to read The Chronicles of Narnia book
Love your simple art work on the book pages. What a lovely idea. I gifted a book to my hubby with a handwritten note hidden inside its pages: "You're my hero".
What a beautiful idea! Love the little bookstore you work at! My favorite show is You’ve got Mail because of the small book shop she owned.

Your videos are so beautiful, I feel so lucky you've taken the time to share the magic of the world through your eyes.
I loved the Cottage Tales. Several years after I read them I re-read them. Thanks.
I love that your cat got to be involved in the book customization, even if only for a second 😂 I’m reading “The Wisdom of Florence Scovel Shinn” this fall. It’s 4 of her books in one. I highly recommend!
That sounds interesting. I’m going to look into it.
That’s one of my all time favorite books!! I’ve read it at least 5 times (I have the same one which contains 4 of her books) and I also sometimes listen to the audiobook version of it here on RUclips. It’s life changing. To me it was for sure. 🙏🏻🤍
Bookstores are my happy place. 😊
You are so creative!
Your artwork is gorgeous.
I adore this. One of my favorite gifts as a young child was a membership to a book club. One of my first jobs was reading storybooks to children in a library. There's a calmness when surrounded by books, hard to explain really. I'm currently reading the Blackthorn and Grim series by Juliet Marillier.
Wow! all those books and a very intimate and homey-looking bookstore...pure joy. And those drawings... so lovely and so personalized for gifts
How is it possible in 2022 that there lives and breathes and speaks and creates, a young inspirational woman such as yourself?
Please keep on being you!
Paola🌷, every morning I watch a video or two from your channel instead of the news on tv. I notised how incredibly healing your videos are for my soul, they make me calm and at peace and helps me start the day in the best way. I love that you’ve completely left out the ”hi welcome, please subscribe and leave a comment” and any sponsorships. It keeps your videos so sooo soothing and its like being in a magical book💕.
Lovely lovely video.I always love the atmosphere you convey, it brings me peace, inspiration, curiosity for the world and calmness. I love literary non fiction, and always read more than one book at the same time…now I have: the wilderness cure , entangled life and little story of almost everything.
The bookshop brings a feeling of nostalgia to me. I love the old-looking books. Can almost smell it
Паола, огромное спасибо тебе за теплоту и дружбу, которыми ты делишься через свои видео. Это очень поддерживает меня в той ситуации в которой я живу. Ещё раз спасибо, с любовью, Лара.
You know, I'm an artist/writer but i work at a seafood shop twice a week and recycle my pay into fish and herbs so i understand this way of life. Thanks for the visit to your world of books.
Your videos are so beautiful and the perspective you show on the world around you is just so refreshing and gorgeous. I always feel like I'm in a Studio Ghibli movie when I watch your videos 😊 and I love that you work as a bookseller! I'm getting weary of my current job and would love to simplify my life with a job like this that I do mostly for enjoyment so I can have the time to start a family with my husband. Bookselling would be one of my top choices! I breathed a sigh of enchantment at the Encyclopedia of Tolkien 📚 thank you as always!
I volunteer at a gift shop that has many books. I love helping people find books and other items they want. Also, I'm definitely a book in the hand person. I own a Kindle but rarely use it.
Just finished rereading The NeverEnding Story by Michael Ende. I still have the somewhat battered copy my mom gave me when I was ten years old. Now I am rereading a very romantic but sad autobiography called My Sergei by Ekaterina Gordeeva. It’s about a pairs figure skating couple who began skating together as children then fell in love and got married when they grew up.
